I like Swiss cheese, but pepper jack is also nice. Add some lettuce, tomato, onions, mayo, and DiBella's Famous Oil and now you're talking. I also like banana peppers on the side. We used DiBella's for a 50-person meeting and it was awesome! The food was delivered right on time by their very friendly and efficient catering person who said she would be available to us throughout the day if we needed anything else brought to our location. It was very comforting to know that! We had many compliments on the food - it was very casual but very tasty. I also really liked that the sub halves were individually wrapped in plastic so that any leftovers kept nicely in the fridge - no dried out bread! With DiBellas offering half off their subs for hospital staff we have taken advantage 3 different times to enjoy their great subs. The first time we ordered the food came Warm, quickly and all were correct. Second time they forgot two subs. And then today, was horrible!! None of the order showed up and when I called the manager to ask where they were she told me to call either door dash or grub hub. She didn't know which one had picked our food up for delivery. How do you not know.? I wasn't told when ordering on their website who was picking it up. But neither did they. What a mess. Through long calls and arguing with the manager we finally got our money back and the delivery dude enjoyed our subs and the 10.00 tip we gave him. What a joke. Don't order DiBellas. They can't handle all the take out orders they are receiving. Only pick up!! They are a confused group over there on Olentangy Rd. I ordered a 7" Uncle Loui sub. I was good that they had the size and type available displayed at the entrance. The sandwich was made to Eder and was fresh. The staff was courteous. This place used to be great years ago, but not anymore. I decided to give it one last shot after a long time eating elsewhere due to the constant mistakes with my orders here. All I wanted was a medium chicken Caesar sub on everything - pretty simple, right? Well, they were out of everything bread AND sesame bread, which is a huge letdown as one of the reasons I came back is the great bread. After agreeing to plain bread and paying for my medium sub, I received a small sub on plain with a bunch of ingredients that I didn't order - of course only seeing this once I made it home. As I said earlier, my order is always made incorrectly in some way at this location despite it being very simple, but this was so bad that it was the final straw for me and drew this one star review. I'd recommend literally any other sub chain in the area because this location is continuously disappointing and a waste of money. By far the best subs I have enjoyed. They have a signature dressing that is light and refreshing. My family were fans of other sub places. Upon my urging they tried Dibellas. Man, I love Dibella's, but this location seems to never have it all together. So much so, that even though this location is closer in distance, I still will trek all the way up to Dublin to indulge. It's typical for you to walk in and be standing for a while until the 4 people in the back are ready for you. Once they call you, you pick your bread type, size, and sub type then move on down the line. It's also typical that once the sandwich is ordered, you'll wait another long period to pay for that sandwich. Listen, I understand if there were one person working the entire place, but there's usually no less than 3 people at a given time. The efficiency is not strong with this one. This location is ALWAYS hot. It doesn't matter if it's winter, summer, spring or fall, it's going to feel like a Congo rainforest. I feel worse for the employees, they have to hang out next to a hot griddle all day. The sandwiches usually fall short. It seems like every-time I come here, there's no consistency with the sandwich quality. Sometimes I get a whole lotta bread, or sometimes I get a whole lotta mustard, but the meat and cheese ratio seem to be lacking. Again, I like Dibella's... I hadn't been to DiBella's in a long while, because the past few times I'd eaten there, I wasn't really impressed. Having said that, I was expecting to come out of this with a lower review, but I really enjoyed my meal there yesterday. I ended up going with The Godfather, which is their Italian, with Everything bread that they make themselves. The meat was decent, but the bread really makes the sandwich. I think the last few times I've gone, I've had one of their sandwiches with chicken, and their chicken just does not do much for me. The place was pretty empty, so we got our food quickly, and the pricing is pretty cheap too for the size and quality of food you're getting for a sub shop. I've definitely reassessed my sandwich options over the past month and found it's worth giving a bunch of places around me another shot. I've wanted to visit this place for sometime, frantic like a junkie in a H-dry town, trying to find a replacement for Quiznos' Chicken and Bacon, Honey Mustard Sub; I have had an enduring cravings for that since Q packed up and left under the cover of night a few years ago. And because I like the facade of DiBella's building, which always catches my eyes riding up Olentangy River Road, I decided to try it. They didn't have a Honey Chicken offering which was a bummer. But this is my mistake. They do have a 'build your own sub' option that I didn't notice until after I ordered--I'll certainly will return to see if that will still my withdraw symptom. (although a quick glance of their menu shows that chicken is not a selection. I will have to see what choppy charm, mad manipulation, or pitiful pleading by me will get them to do it.) Instead, I selected a corned beef sub on whole grain wheat. The subs here come in three sizes, the medium is 10-inches long. I found the meal to be a bit pricey, $11 for a medium corned beef, a bag of chips, fountain drink and a cookie. The sub was tasteful but not Facebook post great. The bread was the real deal, and the vegetables and condiments-- lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, peppers, mayo were really fresh and high quality. The corned beef was average. DiBella's calls their servings 'old fashioned' and so their interior theme is the 1920-30s. I can't say if in fact the sandwiches are in the style of that era, they seem pretty standard for 2014 to me. The inside has comfortable booth, is spotless, and roomy. You have all the 1930s soda shop cliches: black squared ceilings, terrazzo flooring, chrome framed booths, bathrooms designated for Gents and Gals. Curiously, they continue the theme to music, anachronistically playing '40s big band, with selections of 1920 jazz; a strange thing to do under the shadows of Ohio State. Final conclusion: the place is a bit to pricy for an everyday lunch spot but yet not good enough for special treat trip. Although I will be back to try to con them into making a chicken-bacon thing, I will update if it is fireworks. read more

I went her tonight with my boyfriend and thought it was awesome! I got the Chicken Philly with provolone cheese on everything bread. My boyfriend got the Godfather on sesame bread. My sandwich was flavorful, hot and the bread was fresh. I absolutely LOVE the everything bread. I would go back and just get the bread if I could. My boyfriend loved his sub. He added banana peppers and oil to the meat and said it was really tasty. The service was really fantastic. The first ordering process was a little slow, but I'm sure that is because DiBella's is new. The person taking my order was helpful when I was not sure what I wanted.The woman who brought out my sub was very friendly and helpful when I asked her questions. The place is really clean, which I love. There was constantly someone cleaning off tables when people left, checking up on napkins/straws/etc. and making sure everything was in place. I was so excited when this place opened, as it is right by my store, and their menu looked good and I am quite a fan of a good hot sub. Alas... I've tried both the meatball and their buffalo chicken subs, and they are just so BLAND. The meatball sub was okay, and I hold that as the watermark for a good sub shop. It was - lacking. The buffalo chicken sub, I had hope for. Blue cheese and sauces, I thought it MUST be flavorful. I was wrong. Oh, and the blue cheese? Missing in action - they apparently forgot to put it on. To be quit clear - it's not bad. It's just not GOOD. It's not all bad; the service is great, the bread very good, but as I've said, BLAND. Make no mistake; Firehouse, Subway, Quiznos, even Donatos - all better options. I'm hoping that with time this will change, and I do intend on giving it another go. But I will be more than happy to wait for that chance. C'est la vie. read more

Newly opened and well-needed! Located on the corner of Olentangy and King - my (hope) is that this place will thrive in this location. It seems the Wendy's right across the way is always packed during the lunch rush - so hopefully Dibella's can take care of that? All in all, I was thoroughly impressed. Having never even heard of the establishment, I was very intrigued to check it out as I drove past, ironically, on my way to Wendy's. Basically, it's a subshop - more unique than Subway. Corned beef, salami.... interesting (and fresh) meat choices! The basic condiments, mustard, olive oil, mayo, lettuce, tomato, olives, every kind of pepper and cheese....you know, the basics to a good sammy. I strongly encourage you to get it grilled. Delicious! The bread to meat ratio was ehhh. A tad dis-proportional where the meat was all on one side of the sandwich and veggies were crammed in the corner. Typical sub problems, maybe? Kind of have the CiCi's vibe going with the "Welcome to Dibella's!" Could get annoying, but not all of the employees always said it - which made it a tad better. And while they just opened, there were some kinks. Or I'm just an idiot, but I was waiting for my sub and apparently I should have been paying. Oops. But it was fine, the staff is friendly, the food is pretty good. Standard for a sub, not too shabby. Simple, clean, and spacious. Just what Grandview needs, another da*n sub shop. That's what I thought. But I was in a hurry and wanted to grab a quick bite and popped into DiBella's. I was DiWrong for thinking that and DiLighted to eat here. I got the Godfather grilled on an Everything bun that was fresh and perfectly crusted. The oil dressing and peppers on the sub were spot on. Bonus: you get to pick your own toppings. They have big deli pickles for sale, which feeds into my "anything and everything pickled" fetish. My favorite sub in Columbus! The cheesesteak is great and the bread is the best. The sandwiches are HUGE and reasonably priced. My only issue was the person that was making sandwiches was chomping gum with her mouth open the whole time. Very unprofessional and gross.
