I normally wouldn't give a deli a 4 star but this place beats Katizinger deli hands down. Everything is so fresh here unlike the other deli. The service is great. You can tell they enjoy working together. The place is extremely clean as well. I ordered the Italian sandwich and it was absolutely delicious! They give you plenty. And I ordered the fresh fruit as a side. You can't go wrong coming here. Give them a try and you just might see me because I do plan on coming back. read more

Food is decent once they get order right. But I constantly get the feeling that having the nerve to show up in person is interfering with catering and door dash orders. I've been told on two occasions this year that a dine-in order would be at least a 30 minute wait "because we have a huge Doordash order". Yesterday, the sole front line employee rang up my order incorrectly, then just turned and walked away from us to chat with a delivery driver . On returning we started reworking my order. Was interrupted again by a member of the kitchen crew about a different delivery. This place should just shut down their retail operation and just fire up a ghost kitchen instead. read more

I placed a delivery order for a Cuban Sandwich from the McAlister's Deli in Hilliard. The sandwich itself looked great when I opened the takeout box. The bread looked fresh. When I bit into it, the sandwich was very tasty. The top half of the bread was very crunchy on the top and soft after the crust. Unfortunately, the bottom half of the bread got soggy from the pulled sour pork they used. The portion of the meat and cheese were not bad, but at the price paid, seemed a bit light. Overall, the sandwich was good. I wish the pork was sliced, rather than pulled, like other Cuban sandwiches I have had. The most recommended are their Club Sandwich and Spud Max baked potatoes, which are full of portions and taste great, and every bite is satisfying. Their McAlister's Famous Sweet Tea is even more classic, not too sweet, just right, it's simply unreasonable not to order a cup here! I could buy a pig, raise a pig, butcher a pig, fry up the bacon and create a BLT in half the time it takes them to make it. A two hour lunch break and still got back to work late. Great salad/Potato and French dip sandwich. I came for the tea. I heard it was the best in town. Thank goodness I got half sweet and half unsweet because it was extremely sweet. I ordered carry out from the app. My drink was free since it was my first time. The app was very user-friendly and allowed for ordering of extra items. However, I ordered and paid for extra items but didn't get all of them. Kind of interesting because I watched the young lady packing the bags and she was doing an excellent job of checking things off with a highlighter as she bagged them. So just stopped at this place to get some food. I waited for a at least three minutes standing up by the register to order . To door dash or or GrubHub drivers walk in after we do and get waited on immediately while we are standing near waiting to be ordered the girl that eventually got behind the counter to wait on them serve them first never acknowledge that we were even in the building to order and sit and eat no acknowledgment from the establishment. It tastes the same no matter which one you go to in the nation. I'm not a sweet tea drinker, but if you are then you're in heaven! Get the pick two and don't be afraid to share. I love this place. Okay Keto people run to this place. They are not fooling around. Any sandwich on this menu will work, just be aware of the sauces. I ordered the BLT-A. Since opening I've been to McAlister's Deli a few different times. Let me open this review up with the information that I'm a big fan and I've not had a bad experience, only good service and even better food. McAlisters offers bigger then normal baked potatoes with different toppings. I've not had a bad one yet! There pick 2 is always a good choice. Sandwiches, Soups , baked potatoes and salads. They offer daily fresh made teas and lemonades. And have a wide assortment of desserts. I was so excited for the Hilliard-Rome location. (Won't lie, I would have rather had it closer to W. Broad St or Georgesvilles) but I'll take it closer to home no matter what. The staff is still new so I'm sure they are working out some learning issues, but I'll also add that any restaurant establishment on Hilliard-Rome road is always going to be busier then other locations of the same place around town. So please go Easy on the workers as they are probably over worked and under paid. read more

Was a "5-Star" place for me for a year or more, but for some reason, have been hit with four disappointments in a row. Cold food, undercooked food (a baked potato should not crunch like an apple), and mistakes in the order. Ordered a chicken salad on croissant and got a chicken breast on roll. Ordered an unsweetened tea with lemon and received sweet tea. Ordered chili and received broccoli cheddar soup. The only reason a 3-star rating is appropriate instead of a 1, is because my wife's order was okay. When your dinner is nothing but a loaded baked potato and the potato sucks, your evening is off to a very bad start. Guess I need to take a break and go elsewhere. So close to 5 stars... So close... McAllister's King Club is the biggest, best value for a club sandwich anywhere. I purposely took a picture of the back side of the sandwich, because most pictures are that perfect shot of the middle, where every sandwich looks amazing. But this is the worst angle of the sandwich and it's still so pretty... I outlined one HALF of the sandwich. Yeah -- That's one half. The other side looks smaller because of the way it's crammed into the to-go box, because it's so gigantic. This thing is a beast. I've also had the New Yorker, which is pretty good. And I should mention that the potato salad is a great side. The only reason I took away one star is because I've also ordered the Memphian which is also awesome--when it's made right. But, two times I've had to send it back when it came to me with literally just bread and meat (no lettuce, tomato, onion, or cheese), and another time the bread was too stale to eat. This should be a smaller deduction, but Yelp doesn't allow partial stars, and I can't give it 5 in good conscious knowing they've gotten my order wrong a few times. The house deli special was extremely underwhelming the bread was so hard it tasted like the toast you would heat up then forget outside for an hour because rockhard. Very terrible customer service I went in for my our lunch break and there was one customer ahead of me. I ordered a half potato and a half a sandwich which should have been 1099. It was the choose two and I ordered a large Sprite, which was $3.59. When it rung me up, it told me the total was $17.38 and then I asked him how much the taxes were. He just looked at me and laughed and then told me that's the price so then I got my receipt and then he charged me an extra dollar 59 for the sandwich and he told me it's on the board, then I said that's fine. I went to my table and 17 minutes then I finally went up to the counter and I asked about my food and they said it would be a few more moments so I told them to give my money back and then yes that's what I'm calling it did not know if it was a boy or girl it was so much worried about its fingernails clicking on the screen then trying to go back in the back and help out so then when I asked for a refund he/it acted like he was giving me a refund and then gave me a receipt for zero amount dollars on it which I had already knew that was a scam. He told me I refunded it then I said where is my receipt he said they don't do that so I asked for a manager and then she was able to do the refund to pocket $17.38 from me, and by the way by all that time happening, they still have not made me my food would not recommend this place read more

Customer Service: The customer service is really the only thing I can say needs to be tweeked. Sometimes when I come here the younger staff seem to be very soft spoken and it just seems like they do no want to talk/engage with customers. Quality/Quantity: The quality of the food is better than Panera. I love the fresh and light eating from here. Its great. The quantity of the food is more than enough. Over 90% of time something is missing from my order. If I did door dash they try to blame door dash (even when ticket doesn't say one of two bags or indicate another bag) and ask for us to come get it. One time offered a slice of cake. Never an apology or offer to refund or GF for a free meal to remedy the mistake. Sat on hold for long time for minimal effort or service recovery.
