I ordered a 14" Godfather sub with mayo, dressing, lettuce, tomato, onion, and roasted red pepper. The price was ok at $18, but when I got it home I had to open it up to find the toppings. I ate half of it and only found three tomato slices a few onions, and a smattering of lettuce. I couldn't find a pepper. Normally there would be lettuce spilling out of a closed sub. Ok, I like you dear reader have been to one of these DiBella's locations. Either to do take out or eat in. It's been forever since I've been and yes I have a location closer to where we live, but my friend and I were in the area for a class and she's never had their subs. So this location is part of a large strip mall. The inside is like most of the locations kind of dark and the sandwich making is very light and bright. The staff was helpful and made us some good sandwiches. I had the Roast Beef with all kinds of stuff on it on Plain Bread. I'm gonna be honest usually there bread is hard so it's one of the reasons I pass on this place, also they don't toast subs or have hot red pepper spread. That's just me though. My friend got The Godfather and she really enjoyed it it had all sorts of things on it and for a first time visitor she liked it, it's now off of here Rochester Food Bucket List. As for me I really enjoyed my sandwich but it missed something for me maybe I should have gotten banana peppers for a little kick of heat. The bread is good but those subs get messy as you eat them. We ate inside and other than us inside was a few people doing pick up. The place could have been a tad cleaner. If you don't wanna do a sub with bread you can do a salad version. I give them a 3.5, staff is good, food tasty, but it needs to be a little tidier. They share a parking lot. read more

I haven't been to this location many times, but they keep having coupons on Facebook, so I picked up subs for us one day for 25% off. I love their everything bread, and their oil. You walk just inside the door, and they have it blocked off, and you just say your name, and all the orders are behind them. I came at lunch time, and they had lots of orders ready. It was all correct and ready on time, and I've already received more coupons, so I'm sure I'll be back. One note, I wish they had ciabatta sub rolls. The roll I had was a little hard. read more

The Baytowne location has very nice selection and takes pride in all they do from the rolls to the protein, toppings and more in a warm, friendly way! DiBella's staff are the friendliest in fast food. Their sub rolls are the best...soft and nice outer crust.

In the past I would have given them 4 stars but the last couple of visits the sub roll has been dry and for me the roll is the foundation for a great sub. Perhaps having a sub at dinner time means the rolls have been sitting out all day but I don't recall that problem in the past. The Godfather is a great combo of meats and they don't skimp on those or the toppings. And I do love their special oil dressing - lots of it. Generally the service is very fast at peak times like lunch when they are fully staffed but it can be slower in the evening when they have just a few workers. read more

I had a great experience at DiBella's on Empire. Before entering the building I could see an Employee noticed we were approaching and they went to their station to welcome us right when we walked in. Wow! While I was asking for the items to this employee, as soon as I made my bread selection another employee quickly grabbed the bread and started working on my sub right away. That level of efficiency does not go unnoticed! Everyone was there to work and to provide great service and that's hard to come by nowadays so I was very impressed. Got the Uncle Louie after a rough experience with DoorDash ordering food from another place I won't name because the driver didn't want to drive from irondequoit to Webster, whatever bro I had to send my fiancée out to go on a wild goose chase and ended up settling on subs that were pretty great. Consistent. When it comes to dibellas you know what you're getting pretty much every time. Even from location to location the quality is pretty standard. This locations physical building isn't as nice as some of the others but I rarely eat at the restaurant anyways. The delivery and curbside options are fast and easy too. There are endless topping choices. You can mix or match your meat choices in many ways or get one of the fan favorites. Horrible subs lately, way overpriced for what you get. I've been buying DiBellas subs for years being a Rochester native and up until this year always had good experiences. I suspect this is an issue with the Webster location since that is the only one we used recently and the only one I have had bad experiences with. My wife likes them mainly because they are the only sub place around and on the way home. Their bread is always good, but the sandwich construction and ingredients are where the issues lie. Either they changed their meat portions or the Webster store is cheating on the formula. They basically do not know how to make a sub, the ingredients are not spread evenly on the sub, possibly because they don't put enough ingredients on the to cover a sub roll. I order the medium BLT sub lately (13$ with extra bacon) and tried switching to "extra bacon", and got maybe 1-2 slices more of bacon for the extra money. I'd say on the medium sub there may have been 7-8 small slices of bacon at the most, hardly enough for wonderbread sandwich. It was all lumped in the middle and the ends had one tiny piece of bacon so the middle looked "ok" when they cut it (except for all the ingredients being only in the center of the sub), but the ends had no ingredients. Also the other stuff, Lettuce, Tomato, Mayo, you could barely taste them because they weren't there in sufficient quantity. The picture on the menu is so much more appetizing than what I got as an excuse for a sub. If we order from there again it's only because my wife wants a sub and it's on the way home, but they have gone way downhill from when they used to be a great sub shop. When it happens again I'll take a picture, I would have done that first if I had known a pic was possible. This is the third of fourth time I have gotten a low quality sub from the Webster location, and they aren't always BLT, it seems systemic. It's a shame too because this one DiBellas is dragging down the whole chain, I am hesitate to visit any of them now in case they all reduced their portions and quality of construction as drastically. read more

No matter which Dibella's you visit, you know you'll enjoy the meal. How can you not just melt into those giant sub rolls and piles of fresh ingredients? I've visited this location a few times while in Rochester for work and have yet to have a bad meal or experience poor customer service here. On my last visit, we had trouble finding a clean table. It was during lunchtime rush, so the oversight was understandable. If it became a consistent facet of this location, it might be a deterrent to dining here frequently. Last time I visited this location, I opted for a salad instead of a sub. I saved about 500 calories (delicious, amazing calories) by skipping the roll. I was sad at the prospect of not enjoying DiBella's as I'm accustomed, but the salad was pretty good and filling. It doesn't overthrow the sub in my heart, but it wasn't a bad alternative when I'm preparing my body to fit into a wedding dress early next year. read more

This location was disgusting and nasty. I have ate at many Dibellas through out the area, it was gross. The lettuce was brown the meat on the sub looked like it went bad. There was 3 workers working the phone was rining they continued to help the customers which was good customer service however as 2 managers sit in the back office allowing the phone to ring off the hook not answering it nothing. But made themselves known and present when customers were cashing out. It was beyond freezing in there and it's not even hot outside, this place is ran down and over rated go some where else. read more

I don't give out five stars. No one is perfect. But being an expert in subs I have to say DiBella's certainly deserves five stars. For the last several years I've asked if I could bring a franchise to California because nowhere in California is there such a delicious sub. I had my first bad sub from there the other day. It was obvious the person that made it was having a frustrated bad day. When I got home I found it to be not at all of the sub that I had asked for. I was dreading bringing it back being as I am a rather nonconfrontational person myself. The experience bring it back was not only pleasant it was actually fun. The two sub makers that were on that day were pleasant fun and made the entire experience overall enjoyable. We all screw up it's what we do with the screwup that counts and they handled it perfectly. Other than my family the garbage plates and the wings Dibella's's is the thing I miss the most. read more
