We got a three meat platter delivered via Door dash. The sides are pretty tiny especially since we paid $4 for an extra side. Not sure if this is cheaper if you buy directly with the restaurant. For the meat, we got sliced brisket, pulled pork and pork ribs. The ribs were too dry but the brisket was ok with the mac and cheese. Let me start by saying it's more of a 3.5 stars but I rounded up. We hadn't had Dickeys in years but I had I remembered it not being that great. However, I had a sizable rebate for Dickeys on one of my apps and in looking over Yelp reviews, I thought I may have remembered our last experience incorrectly, so I decided to give them another go and placed an order online for pick up. Pickup was easy, my order was ready within 30 per the app. Staff were very nice and the inside was clean. I got their family bundle which consisted of 4 pulled pork sandwiches and 2 "shareable" sides for $33 + tax. I got regular bbq sauce, sweet bbq sauce and spicy bbq sauce for our sandwiches. All were tasty, but I do wish the spicy had more spice to it. The pulled pork was good, hardly any fatty pieces at all. The shareable sides were smaller than I expected. Each container would feed 2 people, so for us, you either got potato salad or baked beans but couldn't get both because there wasn't enough of each. The baked beans were very pepper heavy and not sweet at all, we were not a fan. The potato salad was mustard heavy, which we are a fan of. When I picked up my order, I also purchased a large soda, it was $5, that seemed a little steep to me. They also charge a renewal/recycle program fee, it's only a few cents ($0.39 in my case) but I have no idea what it's for. Overall, it wasn't bad at all. I'd definitely come back for this deal again. Decided to go with a 3 meat combo plate each. The ribs were decent, but the sliced brisket was dry, exceptionally dry and so was the pulled pork. The pork actually was crunchy like over cooked carnitas. What additionally troubling was how small the portions were. I got extra rolls and I barely had enough meat to fill two rolls for dipping in sauce. The ceasar salad was stuffed in a cup and had to be dumped out to toss. Glad I did because half the lettuce was either browning or rotten. The Cole slaw tasted good but the cabbage was flimsy which kin of grossed me out after seeing my salad. I spent $42 for these two snack packs that are called meals. I don't understand how you can thoroughly trash bbq like this unless all your mission is to take money from the public. We decided to go last minute because they emailed a coupon for a free 2 meat plate. Because it was late we hopped in the car and arrived around 30 minutes before close. My husband went inside and tried using the coupon but discovered it was for online or app order. He couldn't download the app, and then was having trouble with the code. It kept saying it wasn't valid!! He came out to the car where I was waiting and said that the employee did not know what to do and wasn't trying to help. I went inside with him to help try to figure it out. It kept saying code was invalid and to login. He didn't remember his password so he tried to reset it. An error message pops up! Unbelievable! Somethings wrong with the site. You can't reset you password. All this time the employee never offered any assistance or even looked our way. She obviously could care less. She was just busy presumably getting things ready for close since the one other person left with their order. There was no one else there. It's 8:50 and I reread the email and see that we didn't enter 2 big yellow cups! Goodness ! Ok so that's our fault for not reading the entire coupon! Last Sunday we went to Dickey's. We drove an hour and a half to get there because all the ones were closed. When walking through the door the cashier said did you call in we said no he said oh great and said it's going to be a while. Then someone else came in he asked them if they called in they said yes, he said they were slow and she had left or something like that and didn't inform him. But the person on the phone said they had enough food so that we didn't need to put in an order ahead of time. He huffed and puffed said he was left alone to do all the work, also said it's going to be a long time. He then took down our order and asked if it was going to be a long order and then complained the whole time trying to detours away from ordering or something I don't know. When we told him we wanted the cheddar sausage and formed us it was going to be 20 minutes wait which we were fine with we had already told them we drove an hour and a half we would wait that long he then got upset about that. He kept saying is that all and then if we ordered anything else he was like oh my gosh and literally use those words. If you ask about the potatoes he would say yeah of course it has gravy what do you know but I've never had it before so I was just asking. He complained the whole order after spending $180. I have never met or seen a Ruder cashier that complained the whole time when you tried to order. I will not go back. There wasn't even a lot of food for almost $200.
