I was so disappointed. I ordered the 3 meat dinner with 2 sides and Texas toast. The brisket was OK. The kielbasa was OK. The smoked turkey was thinly sliced turkey lunchmeat. The mac & cheese was that frozen processed mac & cheese that taste like the cardboard container that it was in. The hit a salad was packaged deli type, store-bought potato salad that you can't even get down and if you get it down, it's gonna come back at you all day. The Texas toast was a piece of white bread. I went out to my car to have a bite of things before I went back to work and I actually went back in to ask if they could toast the bread. He mumbled something and in a few minutes, I had a piece of toast in my hand. I asked about butter and possibly garlic. He gave me a little cup of a hard piece of butter to put on it. This place is a fraud with no core ethics or values. I contracted for an event to be catered, receipt below. I did not tip on the invoice because I tipped $150 cash when the "owner" delivered (he was an older/thinner man with grey hair). I paid the invoice in full 7/24, my event was 8/10. On 8/26 my credit card was charged $50. When I asked why I was told I added a tip. NO I did not, someone in the restaurant decided to add their own tip. AND their own contract states all taxes and tips will be included and paid ON or BEFORE event date! This is fraud! The two stars are for the incredible service of the Hispanic employee who works there. It's very disappointing that the quality of the food went down. Sliced brisket is like some sliced deli meat... and the chopped brisket is like some cubed beef. The cut of the meat is also subpar, or just cooked wrong. The Hawaiian bread rolls are no more... they were replaced by some tasteless bread. It's just disappointing that while the prices are reasonable the quality of the food just went down and doesn't embody the quality Dickey's is know for. I'm assuming the new owners don't know what BBQ is supposed to be like. You simply can't skip out. The emptiness of the restaurant compared to the reopening is very telling. It's chain bbq - which is gonna be an ok experience not life changing. This is a pretty good spot to get some meat, veg, and drinks. The meat reminded me of grilled meat but cooked low and slow, not very much smokey flavor or smoke rings. This is definitely not ideal, but their sides, drinks and speed of service was actually pretty spectacular. The texas toast definitely needs an upgrade, I was unsure whether it was buttered or not, it definitely had seasoning but it was dry toast with dried seasonings. The fries were an excellent and unexpected treat with the rosemary herb blend on them, and their bbq sauces were heated and pretty tasty. Definitely don't mind going back, and a few things here or there and it would be great, but for a chain this is pretty awesome. read more

When you have a hankering for BBQ, Dickey's gets the job done. Their food is consistent (given they're a chain I wouldn't expect anything less) but I will say, some items on their menu are super overpriced. Their combo plates are definitely always the best value. My go to is the 2 item plate (2 choices of meat, 2 sides and a choice of bread), for $21 it is super filling and a great value. Their mac and cheese is great, their green beans and onions are savory, their fried okra and frizzled onions always hit the spot. Now, let's talk about the lack of value in ordering a slider. Their brisket slider was $5.75 and literally is about the size of a tennis ball cut in half. I came to realize that the slider is made up of their dinner roll (the same dinner roll you can choose as part of the combo plate) with a small pile of brisket, adorned by a full on slice of white onion. The onion was the star of the show with the brisket being the plus one. If I could give zero stars I would. I've eaten here hundreds of times before they closed for a while and loved it. Myself and all my co workers work in issaquah and it was a regular lunch spot. Stopped in today with a buddy at 4pm 10/12/2025 and we both got westerner sandwiches with side and drink. I've never been so disgusted with any restaurant in my life. The "pulled pork" was so dry you eat one string of it and you had to choke down a glass of water to swallow it. The brisket you could not even bite through no I'm not exaggerating. I even showed the 2 employees working you could not even pull it apart with all the strength you had in your hands. All they did was laugh and argue. I'll never be returning to this location. We enjoy eating Dickey's BBQ so much at their Issaquah location that we decided to have them cater a function we put on. With 50 people in attendance, it was quite the challenge. But owner/GM Vaughn and his team rose to the occasion. First off, the delivery was right on time, as had been arranged. That meant we could focus on other obligations, like our guests. More importantly, we were able to start dinner right on time and everything was still warm. The ribs were as good in a catered volume as they are in the Issaquah Dickey's restaurant. So good! People questioned getting ribs for a catered social gathering, but these ribs were so tender they had the meat falling off the bones with a touch of a fork! Messy fingers were never a problem. The pulled pork was plentiful and perfect for making sliders with their small buns, lathered in that tasty BBQ sauce. We just went with "spicy" and "regular", which was plenty. Love the pulled pork! For sides, we originally planned on making our own. But once one of our co-leads tried Dickey's, it was a no-brainer. ( I already knew that, but he needed to find out for himself.) We also had beans (what's a BBQ without beans), their mouth watering creamed spinach (one of my favorites, and the baked potato casserole, which got rave reviews from our guests. Quite frankly, all the food they prepared and brought to us got rave reviews. Didn't really surprise me, though. As a regular Dickey's customer I know how good their food is. We've been to a handful of other Dickey's locations and this by far is the cleanest and the woman that helped us was very sweet and friendly. The food was solid and consistent with other locations, so we were happy there. We got the XL Pack which is 3lbs of meat, 4 large sides and 8 buns, it's a good value, fed our family of 4 (with 2 teen boys) no problem with a little left to take home. Ok- so I pre ordered for catering in-person about 4 days in advance. The only reason I am not giving them a 5-star rating is because their in-person system doesn't allow them to order the same way as on line. So I felt like I was being over charged. I went home and re- placed the order on line and indeed I was able to apply a coupon but also order more precisely and save about $100. Dickey's had no problem refunding me the original order, they were so nice about it all, and really the woman who helped me in person was extremely helpful in providing me with portion sizes for the number of people I was ordering for and she did explain to me their limitations with their register. So it all worked out I just had to do it twice. The food at pick up was ready and packaged very neatly and nice enough for me to present at my event. I was also able to keep things hot in my oven the way they packaged it all. Every detail was thought of and it made everything easy. The food was delicious, everyone was very happy with the brisket and chicken I ordered. We also had Mac and cheese. Everyone was able to have a healthy portion, and based on the servers information, I had plenty of food. The above and beyond moment happened when I got home from picking up the food. I brought everything in and realized I was short on my brisket order! I was so upset as I did not have time to go back, company would be at my home in 20 minutes! I called knowing there was nothing to be done but to let them know I was so disappointed. I spoke to John, I believe, who was the manager, and he was so patient and calm and assured me they had prepared all my order. He let me know I could come down and they'd have it ready for me. I was not able to do that. I hung up with him and was in a panic! I went back out to my car to shut the back end and lo and behold there was the rest of my order! I had completely missed it. I called back immediately to apologize and let them know they had done everything right and it was completely my oversight. My friend and I decided to check this place out before our hike and was fairly disappointed. The place itself is nice and the people are nice but the food is not that great. We ordered the two meat platter which came with a bread roll and two sides. The meat we got was brisket and ribs which are staple BBQ food. The brisket was super dry and had no flavor. The ribs had minimal meat but had decent BBQ flavor. The slaw was refreshing and on sweet side, and the jalapenos beans was bland, no bacon, and definitely not hot. The bread was good as it was warm up but nothing to eat it (no butter, BBQ sauce from the meat, etc). Overall, I like half of what we ate. The only reason this place is a 3 star and and not lower is because of the soft serve ice cream. It's self serve, so toy make your own. I'm surprised at how good it was when I made one. Ordered a large catering from the Issaquah location on a Monday via online acct. I called the store on Thursday to Make sure they had it in their system and they did not. I contacted the customer service center and they found the order and emailed it to me. i am glad I had this because of course when I went to pick up they didnt know about it then lied and said they made it the day before and no one picked it up. after showing Them the order proof they did get it ready in 30 minutes and it was pretty good. for almost $300 order you would think someone would care. You can choose from chicken, pulled pork, beef brisket, and more. They offer plates of various sizes with several sides included. I usually get the sandwich plate (choose your meat) which comes with 2 sides and a drink. My favorite sides are the barbecue beans and the fried okra, but they also have coleslaw, Mac and cheese, and other favorites. They have 2 TVs as well, so it's a great place to catch a sports game. Solid, quick BBQ, with awesome daily specials! I came here for lunch, to pick up a to-go order, which you can do online. On a Wednesday, the daily special was a Westerner Sandwich with two sides and a drink for only $10.99, which is what I ordered with Jalapeno-Cheddar Kielbasa and Brisket as my meats on the sandwich, and for sides I chose waffle fries and mac & cheese. The Westerner Sandwich is a big size! In fact, I only ate half and had the other half as leftovers so it's definitely for those super hungry. But the sandwich was good! I really liked the brisket on the sandwich, which you can choose to have sliced or shredded. The brisket was cooked perfectly and was tender, which is the most critical part of brisket! The jalapeno-cheddar kielbasa was A-OK on the sandwich. I would've liked it on its own much more, as it was hard to bite through with the slices of thick kielbasa in the sandwich, so seemed more distracting than appealing. However, I liked that the sandwich had cheese and pickles on it, adding more flavor. But, when you're at Dickey's - load up on the BBQ sauces they have. I personally really liked the Spicy BBQ sauce, which I slathered on my Westerner. The sides were good. I liked the waffle fries more than the mac & cheese, as the fries had a zesty, salty seasoning on them and plus, they're waffle fries. I don't know what it is about the shape, but anytime I see waffle fries on a menu, I'm sold. Mac & cheese was good, but most likely would've tasted better had I dined-in than gotten take-out, as the temperature was lukewarm, so wasn't as cheesy as it should be. Overall, this is a great place for lunch in Issaquah! Take advantage of the daily specials, which I will certainly do. And load up on the spicy BBQ sauce that you can help yourself to in the joint. We probably won't be back! We've been to Dickey's a number of times as well as getting take-out multiple times and have always been satisfied in the past. Decent food and the kids like the free soft serve, however no amount of soft serve is going to make up for the bad taste in my mouth from last night. We strolled in on a Friday night as a hungry family of four, and as always, the place was a ghost town. We weren't quite ready to order, but when I was, the kid cutting the meat was slow to get his attention. Honestly, he seemed chemically altered or just incredibly tired and on slo-mo and had to ask me to repeat myself more than once for our family pack. He then turned his back on us to mumble to another employee. Then he asked again what meats. I repeated myself. We ordered 1 lb pulled pork and 1 lb chopped beef brisket. The family pack comes with three sides and we ordered another two extra a la carte: large potato casserole, large potato salad, large BBQ beans, large macaroni and cheese, and waffle fries. They ask if the order was to go and it was then that we found out they were 15 minutes from closing. In the past, they had always let us eat no matter the time because hello if you say you close at 9, that means you close at 9 and not 8:45 right especially since this is pre-made fast food style BBQ? However, these guys didn't seem enthused, so fine, we got it to go. Then we find out they are running out of rolls. They said they had 4. The meal required 6. Another guy came to us and defensively said before we could respond that they "stop dropping stuff an hour before close." He offered us "buns" to make up for the missing rolls. We "rolled" with it. They had at least three guys making our order, but it still took them 10 minute to fill it. Slooooow. We get home with our order and were shocked. It seems they were out of a lot of stuff. None of the sides were full orders. None of them!! In fact several were barely 2/3 full. See pics I will attach. In the past, they had always been filled to the top as they should for the price. Did I mention the extra sides were $6.50 each after tax for what looked like literally two ice cream scoops of "baked" potato casserole than barely made it to the 2/3 mark of the container?? No melted cheese or green onions on top. The BBQ beans were the same. Then we see waffle fries never made it. Ugh. I check the receipt. At least we didn't pay for them. Then we see only got 3 rolls and the 2 "buns" were these weird greasy tough french bread things. Then to the meat. Ummm the brisket was NOT chopped even though I told him twice we wanted chopped. Full of chunks of fat. Cold. I doubt it was a pound. Pork was also cold. I guess it was too much effort to chop since it was 15 minutes before closing?? And final smoking death knoll? ZERO BBQ sauce. None. A freaking family BBQ order without any BBQ sauce?? I know they have some BBQ on the side of the restaurant for people who dine in with small individual orders, but in the past with family take out orders, they have given us two large containers of sauce in the large side dish containers. Also no onion or pickles like the past. And they were closed by the time we got home so we couldn't even call to let them know about the deficiencies. We did not get what we paid for at all. So to recap for $65: Fatty, not chopped, cold brisket that looked scant Short a roll and substitute for rest were not "buns" No onions No pickles No BBQ sauce No waffle fries 2/3 filled rest of the sides To top it off, I find out my husband tipped them!! WTF!! He is a generous guy and he threw these jerks a $4+ tip which they took without a smile...knowing they had shorted us sauce, rolls, fries, sides and were too lazy to even chop the meat and trim the fat. And funny enough, without any sauce, my daughter pointed out the meat tasted poor quality and the smoke flavor tasted artificial. Well that's it. Back to Stan's BBQ in Issaquah we go for far superior service and meats. Moral of the story? If you say you are open until 9, have hot food and employees willing to give good service until 9. And if you don't have enough of one item to fill a container, speak up. Don't cheat the customer. We won't be back. There's better BBQ, better value and waaaaay better service and honesty in this town. read more

What happened to the Dickey's I used to love? I stopped by on a Saturday night at 7:00 and all the chairs were up on the table, yet closing time was 9:00. It soon became apparent why no one was there. The ribs. They used to be rubbed with a great seasoning, smokey flavor from hours in a smoker, lots of meat on the bone and fresh. I got bland, unseasoned ribs that didn't seem smoked, were very greasy, tasted like old pork and were dried out. How you can get meat dry and chewy AND greasy and oily is a mystery, but they did it. They used to offer cheese and green onions with the baked potato casserole but none was offered. The barbecue sauce used to be warm, I was given a couple if prepackaged cold sauces. Perhaps the sauce is a post pandemic thing. The only positive was that the guy preparing the ribs was very friendly.
