Fraud! Additional charge not authorized by me!
Jenni D.

This place is a fraud with no core ethics or values. I contracted for an event to be catered, receipt below. I did not tip on the invoice because I tipped $150 cash when the "owner" delivered (he was an older/thinner man with grey hair). I paid the invoice in full 7/24, my event was 8/10. On 8/26 my credit card was charged $50. When I asked why I was told I added a tip. NO I did not, someone in the restaurant decided to add their own tip. AND their own contract states all taxes and tips will be included and paid ON or BEFORE event date! This is fraud! Stay away unless you want your credit cards ran for unauthorized charges. **UPDATE - The manager refused to call me, and I emailed headquarters like asked and have not received a response. Goes to show how poor their service is as well**

Food was served super fast. Staff is friendly & its family owned. It closed for a bit but is re-opened! Ribs and Brisket were so tender. Baked potato was done so well I used a plastic fork. Bathrooms are clean and well stocked. Music playing low but adds a nice vibe. For fathers day I saw them give 2 dads free kids meals for their kids with their meal purchase. What a standup thing to do on fathers day!

It's chain bbq - which is gonna be an ok experience not life changing. This is a pretty good spot to get some meat, veg, and drinks. The meat reminded me of grilled meat but cooked low and slow, not very much smokey flavor or smoke rings. This is definitely not ideal, but their sides, drinks and speed of service was actually pretty spectacular. The texas toast definitely needs an upgrade, I was unsure whether it was buttered or not, it definitely had seasoning but it was dry toast with dried seasonings. The fries were an excellent and unexpected treat with the rosemary herb blend on them, and their bbq sauces were heated and pretty tasty. Definitely don't mind going back, and a few things here or there and it would be great, but for a chain this is pretty awesome.

Fried Okra, Bacon & Onion Green Beans, Brisket, Pulled Pork and a dinner roll

When you have a hankering for BBQ, Dickey's gets the job done. Their food is consistent (given they're a chain I wouldn't expect anything less) but I will say, some items on their menu are super overpriced. Their combo plates are definitely always the best value. My go to is the 2 item plate (2 choices of meat, 2 sides and a choice of bread), for $21 it is super filling and a great value. Their mac and cheese is great, their green beans and onions are savory, their fried okra and frizzled onions always hit the spot. Now, let's talk about the lack of value in ordering a slider. Their brisket slider was $5.75 and literally is about the size of a tennis ball cut in half. I came to realize that the slider is made up of their dinner roll (the same dinner roll you can choose as part of the combo plate) with a small pile of brisket, adorned by a full on slice of white onion. The onion was the star of the show with the brisket being the plus one. Overall, Dickey's is solid BBQ, go with a combo plate, try their brisket and pork ribs, try all their sauces, and unless you're just looking to spend some extra cash, pass on the slider, opt for a dinner roll as your bread option in the combo and build your own

The meat is clearly the star... tender, juicy, and packed with smoke. Every bite tasted like it had been handled with care, not rushed out the door. The sauces deserve a mention too. They complement the meat instead of overpowering it, with just the right balance of sweetness, tang, and heat. You can tell they've dialed these in over time. What really stood out was how easygoing and satisfying the whole experience was. It's the kind of place where you sit down, catch up with a friend, and before you know it your plate is empty and you're already thinking about what you'll order next time. The staff were awesome as well, they knew the menu well and helped me make some decisions. With BBQ I always have a hard time choosing, I want it all. If you're in Issaquah and craving legit BBQ, whether after a hike or just for a solid lunch try Rhodie's Smoking BBQ. It's well worth the stop. Delicious food, generous portions, and the kind of meal that leaves you full and happy.

However,…read moreafter we placed our orders, the space gradually filled with customers which gave us some comfort. The service here was quick, the ambiance casual, and the food is very satisfying! The roast duck was very tender, and the rice and bok choy well cooked and seasoned. The Singapore noodles had a stronger curry flavor than I was used to, and was good. The true surprise was the salted fish chicken with eggplant. I've never had a dish like this before, and the fish smell was a little pungent. However, the taste wasn't fishy at all and had a great umami flavor. The eggplant was also tender and cooked beautifully. This is the type of food that is very comforting and makes me want to eat more even though I'm full! I wish the portions were bigger considering its price point. Of the three dishes, I can only find myself justifying the eggplant to be worth its price because it is so unique. The Singapore noodles and roast duck I believe I can find for a better value elsewhere. Though I won't be a regular customer, this was a nice find with good food!

I read some positive feedback about Famous Kitchen in the past. While I was in Issaquah, I decided…read moreto dine there. The place looked new-ish in a small plaza; several other restaurants are within sight. I yelp-checked every single one of them. All of them hover at about 3.5 stars, plus/minus some. Hmmm. Anyway, I kept the original plans and entered. They have a Chinese BBQ area that was being cleaned for the night, which makes sense. It was nearly 7pm on a Sunday. The menu had mostly ordinary Cantonese varieties with several less common ingredients like fermented bean curd, salted fish, and bitter melon. Always a good sign. When I fished recommendations from the server requesting good 'uncommon' dishes (and I spoke in Cantonese), he still pointed to the 'normal' dish. Fine, I stayed along those lines, too. The food is alright. The prices are at Eastside level. This place is worthy if you don't want to drive out of Issaquah (to Bellevue or CID). If I wasn't in Issaquah, I would not purposely drive here. The Food: Curry Beef Brisket Rice 咖喱牛腩饭, $17.99 - 3.5 Stars Tender-enough beef brisket and daikon cover a massive amount of rice. The curry is thick and pooled just right. The flavor of the curry met expectations. I wish Chinese restaurants understand it is okay to give an appropriate amount of rice instead of a massive amount to avoid waste. House Special Fried Noodle 招牌炒面/粉, $20.99 - 3.5 Stars This noodle dish surprised me that it is closer to 'soy sauce king chow mein' 豉油皇炒麵 that happens to have additional ingredients. Few restaurants serve it this way. Not a good or bad thing per se. The ingredients tend to heavily absorb the soy sauce, and the flavor profile becomes a bit too uniform. On the contrary, some may find this method more flavorful. Salt &Pepper Chicken Wings 脆皮炸鸡翅, $18.99 - 4 Stars These wings ended up being my favorite dish. They have an excellent crispy on the outside, juicy inside. Good flavor, too. They are closer to 3.5 Stars. Nothing in the overall experience stood out to round up the overall rating.

The portions were plentiful for one and really two. The meats are not seasoned or sauced. I was provided two small sauce cups which was nowhere near enough. I would rate both meats as average for bbq. The coleslaw was mostly shredded cabbage with some dressing. Not a creamy dressing like many places but more vinegar based. Again, it was average. The potato salad tasted like everyone else's. I'd guess it was a pre-made and not their own recipe. In all the dinner was fine. Little things like more sauce would have made it better.

My friend was a big fan of boba tea, and I missed Taiwanese street food badly, so we just decided to try out this place. We showed up right after they opened their door. I am a low tech person, but I found their ordering kiosk was easy to use. We ordered two meals, Taiwanese sausage bento and Beef noodle soup, that came with drinks. One interesting we noticed is that each meal selection came with different drink options. When we ordered Taiwanese sausage bento, there's an option to order a drink at a cheaper price, but no old fashioned black tea, so we ordered milk tea. However, when we ordered beef noodle soup, there's no milk tea option but old fashioned black tea. We thought all the add-on drink options were the same, but they weren't. We then got milk tea and black tea from the add on options since it's much cheaper. We also ordered blood rice cake and the braised combo. There were a few tables in the store. When we were there, not too many people were there, so we just picked up a table. The food came very quickly. During the lunch time, around noon to 1 pm, the entire place was packed. After that, most people just came to pick up something and left. The food was very delicious and was authentically Taiwanese food. The blood rice cake was southern Taiwanese style. I wish they also had northern style that would wrapped with peanut powder. The braised combo was very tasty. I guess it was cooked in the sauce for a long time. The beef noodle soup was really good, and they could add picked mustards for free. My friend and I had a lot to chat, so we stayed in the store until they closed.
