I ordered overpriced ribs online. I chose the sauce. When the ribs arrived, first I noticed there was sauce all over the inside of the bag. It appeared that alot of sauce had leaked out of the rib container. But when I opened the box, the ribs were dry. I called the restaurant to ask if they normally send the ribs dry, no sauce and he responded in an irritated tone as if I should know that yes, they send the ribs that way. I told him that all the sauce had spilled all over the bag. He just said,"So, what do you want me to do about it? It's not my fault!" He was very defensive and then angry. Ordered through Uber Eats. Delivery was great, but order was wrong. I ordered a Brisket Chili Baker, which was supposed to have shredded cheddar cheese, and I ordered (and paid for) extra cheese. Why is there never the smell of meat smoking in the air near this place? Gave it another chance when they plastered promotions of smoked wings on all the windows. Good, intensely smoked wings are elusive, even here in the south! What gives? Sadly, another bait and tease. I was surprised to be asked what flavor did I want the wings? Um, I thought I was ordering smoked wings, so I wanted to taste the natural flavor. Then I was told it would take a few minutes, because they like to serve them fresh. ???? Smoked meat is supposed to be a many hour process, so what is it they are doing to my order? I heard something in the back like a fryer. I prayed that wasn't my order. The wings appeared shortly after, heavily covered in coarse ground black pepper. These were quite small wings. Disappointment #1, despite the reasonable price. I noted the wings were not cleaned well. This caused further dismay, because when a wing is that small, there isn't alot of room to be pulling off the missed hairs and still having any chicken left on the bone. I couldn't figure out the reason for the excess of black pepper, other than to disguise the lack of true smoked flavor. A "never again" experience... We had dinner at Dickey's tonight and it was the worst BBQ experience I've ever had (and I loooooove BBQ). Here's the highlights: - place was FILTHY: food on the floor, feet literally stuck to floor, garbages full, etc - out of everything...between supply chain issues and "we had lots of people come in so we are out of stuff" they were out of all but 2 or 3 of their sides - ordered the onion ring things....WHAT A MISTAKE...they literally were rancid or under cooked with grease all over them...had some sort of gelatin on them...I'd leave a photo but it was just too much - staff was a few young people who were friendly but just didn't seem to know what to do Net-net, my wife is now in the bathroom sick and we will never go back. read more

We also got a pulled pork sandwich with potato salad. The pork had excellent flavor as well but the potato salad was bitter and bland. Had to add lots of pepper to get it half way edible. The drinks are endless and you get take home souvenir cups. Also there is free endless ice cream with meal purchase. My wife and I are from New Hampshire and are visiting family in Peachtree City. We decided to try this restaurant from a family member's recommendation. Overall the food was pretty good, especially the kielbasa. However, the first impression was not great. As we walked in, I noticed that the dining room and the drink area was a disaster area that looked like it wasn't cleaned at all. Also, the floor was VERY sticky, like walking on fly paper. What got me even more was despite this, there were several employees just standing behind the counter just talking (btw, there was no other customers in the restaurant) when at least one of them could be cleaning. Very good!! Surprised how simple the menu was ! You order which meats you want and plate options. I got the 1 meat plate w/ 2 side option with Turkey as my meat and a Cesar Salad and waffle fries. I much enjoyed the smoked turkey the most. I also add some of the turkey to the Cesar Salad and that's perfection. My boyfriend got the 2 Meat plate w/ 2 side option with Pulled Pork and Brisket. He much enjoyed the brisket the most. His 2 sides were also waffle fries and refried beans. We both agreed the waffle fries weren't wonderful since they got cold quickly and soggy . It's funny, I've actually been going to this place quite a few times, any time I've had any business in Peachtree City, but never actually thought to review the place until just now. Peachtree City doesn't have a whole lot of good dining options; the good mom 'n pop places aren't always open that late, leaving a whole lot of Chotchkie's clones where bored PTC soccer moms sneak out their margaritas in their kids' plastic cups (no joke). But since I found Dickey's, it's been somewhat of a go-to place for me, whenever I'm in the area and hungry. Yes, it's also a chain, but before you get your anti-establishment pitchforks up and in arms, hear me out here. Regardless of such trite detail, the quality and service of this particular Dickey's bbq location does particularly great justice, representing the company as a whole. The location is in convenient and recently renovated Crosstown shopping center, and there's plenty of parking, even when there's a Suburban shoe-horned into three golfcart parking spaces. The interior of the restaurant is spacious, and there are plenty of tables to dine in. Everyone I've ever interacted with at the restaurant has been friendly and jovial, and they're quick to greet, take orders, and serve. The bbq isn't the best on the planet; it's still pretty good regardless. But at the same time, you can get some generous portions, as in one choice of meat and two sides for a hair above seven dollars. Daily specials throw the drink in with the price, for a bigger bang for the buck. I always end up getting the pulled pork; it's not dry like jerky, but at the same time, it's not soggy like eating shoelaces. The sauces are a tad watered down a little bit, but still retain a good bit of flavor; I like their sweet over their traditional and spicy iterations. The sides at Dickey's that I've bothered to try have all been good, but lately, I've been cruise-controlling with their green beans and waffle fries. Conclusively, it's in a convenient location, the product is well above-average, there is potential for great bang for the buck, and everyone who works there seems to be very good. At first impression I liked the setup and thought I would be eating a good meal, I ordered a 3 meat plate, Brisket, Pulled Pork, and Spicy Sausage with coleslaw and fries side. When I received my plate I was somewhat confused, I thought they had screwed up and only given me a portion of pulled pork. No, not only was the brisket "pulled" it and the pulled pork barely amounted to what I consider 1 ration. Well, I've never had "pulled" brisket, but was hungry enough to eat a horse, so I sat down. Chew on leather much? The meat for both the pulled pork and brisket was dry and chewy, like it had been sitting out for a day or more! Disgusting! I was hoping for salvation so I took a bite of the "spicy" sausage... it was as bland as unsalted plain spaghetti. They need to CLEAN.. the restaurant was EMPTY! So I was skeptical, but of course it could have been the time frame we went (3pm). The young man.. ( asst manager) informed us what they did not have before we ordered, which was fine. The problem is: the tables were filthy, bbq sauce splattered on the walls and all over the trash can. The floors were dirty, the bathroom was dirty.. and gnats( fruit flies) were swarming the bbq sauce area. There was a drink at 1 of the empty tables..where later he came & took a sip.. so it was his. My thoughts.. this place isn't busy & I know the business is hiring so you're short of help. But while you're sitting doing nothing.. employees please pick up a broom, mop, and cleaning cloth. We cleaned our own table & seats. I asked my coworker did she want to leave but we were tired and had already ordered. They received 1 star because the food tasted decent. We prayed over the food and asked not to get sick.. lol! I had the Monday special.. pulled pork sandwich(nice large portion), baked beans, slaw. I didn't each much of my sandwich because I wanted sauce but was deterred by the fruit flies by the sauce. She ordered the same but with loaded mash and slaw. We both ate partially. Looking for BBQ in the PTC area, usually means Cafe Pig, Dickey's or Smokey Bones. Friday, I went for Dickey's. I've been there 5-6 times, but never reviewed before. They have a "Daily Meal Deal" for $6.99, which usually saves you $1.50-2.00 with a soft drink. The Friday meal Deal is a Pork plate with 2 sides. Service was quick - about 1 1/2 min. to order, go through the line for sides, and pay. I got onion tanglers and cole slaw. I will say I have liked the corn, potato casserole, and green beans on other visits. Today, I got a huge amount of pork, enough for 2 big sandwiches, and tried both original and sweet sauce. I actually like the 2 sauces mixed together. The meat could have been hotter, it was just warm, but had good flavor. The onion tanglers are basically onion rings, but just pieces of onions. A bit too much batter and too little onions, but they still taste great. Cole slaw was great. Two TV's in the place for sports enthusiasts, and ice cream cones (self-serve) for ice cream lovers. Very good food. I had the pulled pork sandwich with waffle fries and my husband had the ribs with potato casserole and creamed spinach. Everything tasted great and the service was very friendly. The only thing I will say is the potato casserole isn't what my husband was expecting. It's basically just mashed potatoes with some shredded cheese and scallions on top. And the creamed spinach was really good but it's basically like the spinach and artichoke dip you get at the restaurants but you don't have any chips to eat it with. A handful of tortilla chips would have made a world of difference. The drink they give you with your combo is great. They have incredible sweet tea and you get free ice cream that's decent. Not great for larger parties (10 or more) bc it's always hopping so seats go quick. Dickey's is definitely a new hot spot. I have seen this chain before on the West Coast, and it had not been as successful as this location. In a region where barbecue is appreciated, how would Dickey's fare? This location rocks! You can get a large, filling pulled pork sandwich for $5 and about 70 cents for a coleslaw topper (if you don't want the side). But a drink is $2.50 and a side is $2.00.
