All of the meats were greasy, low quality, cold and horrible tasting. Easily the worst meal we've had since moving here over a year ago! My family owned restaurants for many years and I never post this type of review. We felt ripped off and had to throw the food away. Fresh off of a terrible experience at a location in Los Angeles, this location was a refreshing experience. Despite there being a line and only 2 people working with one of them new, the employees were quick to greet everyone and fast on getting the orders out. They even took my coupon with batting an eye, it's surprising how many businesses give customers a hard time over using a valid coupon, but that was not the case here they took it no problem. Took family for a pre-Halloween dinner, and had a wonderful experience! We ALL loved the food, even the 4 boys, which doesn't often happen! The kids asked for seconds on the Mac and cheese, and the adults especially enjoyed the pulled pork, which was lean and perfectly cooked. The staff was attentive, making sure we were enjoying our meal, and offering refills on the fountain drinks. Side dishes of Caesar salad, baked beans, cole slaw, and fabulous dinner rolls were some of the best we've had! What a great experience....thank you Dickey's BBQ! Arrived at Dickey's Barbecue to an empty restaurant. Two employees. Scrambling around because the soda machine was refilling. They didn't acknowledge me for 15 minutes as I stood there waiting to order. Once I began ordering the employee took a phone call and the other a FaceTime in the middle of the order. Once ordered it took another 20 minutes to receive the food. Poor customer service from Dickeys! read more

The service here is UNMATCHED. Some of the nicest people ever. We keep coming back one because the food is good and affordable, but really because of the two amazing ladies that have been working everytime we have come in. It's a no for me. This is not authentic Texas barbecue. The brisket was definitely not smoked and it did not smell like anything is smoked.

The chicken was dry and tasted funny. The brisket was tasteless. They served the salad in a cup and when I asked for a bowl, the Manager tried to had me a short, small cup. The barbecue sauce was horrible. This is not a inexpensive place to have a meal. On the plus side. The Mac & Cheese was very good and the waffle fries were good. I just visited this establishment this afternoon, Sunday. As soon as I walked in, I should have turned around and walked out. It was so hot inside that it was miserable. I mentioned it to the girl behind the counter and her reply was "It's hot outside". Hello, I know it's hot outside, turn down your AC!!!. I agree with many reviews, it's expensive for what you get I ordered the beef brisket sandwich and 2 sides. The sandwich was quite small and it was the first time I was served Ceasar salad in a cup. Only one employee working at lunch for the lunchtime rush. I had to wait 10 minutes to get served because employee was working on an online order. Two people behind me walked out. Only having one employee tends to be the beginning of the end for a food business. On the expense side you save on labor costs, but on the income side you lose out on sales and catering opportunities. I always would go with getting sales. Good luck! Update: After trying them a few more times and having no issues, they now are coming up as Wing Boss on Google yet the sign still says Dickeys. When I called I was told it's an extension of Dickeys and to order through Wing Boss. Wing Boss onky let's you order chicken wings and there is no finding Dickeys Rancho Mirage anymore so I can't order online! I called back and told them that and he said to try Dickeys.com (already had) and ge didn't want to take my To Go order on the phone. (Sounds like the same guy that helped me last time) So I told him this was a confusing mess and I'd go somewhere else. He didn't even try to stop me. So there you have it guys. I have been to a few Dickey's locations and this one has by far been one of the best. I came in today, and it was a little packed (long wait time to order), however the staff was really kind and apologetic for the wait. The staff had a new member and was training him with such professionalism. Everyone working was super kind, very informative and made the environment super welcoming, which is definitely hard to find in the food service industry. When going to pay their system was acting up, however this didn't deter me from ordering. They again apologized for the inconvenience. This is how staff should treat their customers. They were very patient, didn't get frustrated and paid attention to every customer to ensure that they would be taken care of. Great job everyone. The food here was excellent and my family was super happy with the food and felt like our business was appreciated. I have been to other locations where they have treated my family with disrespect and scoffed when we had questions. At this location none of this happened and I can not wait to come back. To end my day here the staff offered us anything we needed before we left and that is something that won't be forgotten. Thank you thank you thank you. Okay menu but overpriced for what's on offer and portion size. This restaurant, too, is participating in tip shaming when the cashier, on all orders including to-go orders, asks for a tip. Tips are not appropriate when you are just doing the minimum of your job. Somehow everyone, these days, thinks they are entitled to a tip regardless of their performance. read more

Here is the slop that was delivered to us. The wings were supposed to be tossed in two different sauces. They weren't tossed at all. We paid extra for Ranch dressing for the wings (because wings don't come with a complimentary sauce at all) but after paying extra didn't receive at all. The sides were minuscule. And the "potato casserole" (a disgrace) was open and spilling out of the package when we received it. False advertising with the size of the sides. We tried calling but they were already closed for the night. Trying to support local business. And what a let down. What a shame. And the meal definitely wasn't cheap. Diner stay away. I have previously made a yelp review about Dickeys and had previously give them a 4 star. But every time my hubby and I go in, it's such a fantastic experience, so I'm changing it to 5 stars! Big portions, sauces are delicious, sides are delicious. Atmosphere is fun and inviting. We usually get there close to closing because we work in the industry, so good food that time of night isnt typically expected, but its always delicious. Julian is the one that usually helps us when we are there, and he's so friendly and helpful. Great with guests and looks like he genuinely likes his job and making people happy! Had the pleasure of attending a party that served platters of excellent sliders from Dickey's so I had to try out the restaurant. I ordered a pulled pork slider and two small sides-baked beans and coleslaw. Delicious! The slider was stacked with flavorful meat, the bun was soft and warm and you put your own toppings on--they had pickles, onions and three kinds of BBQ sauce (spicy, sweet and original). Lots of choices of sides and sandwiches or tacos or a BBQ plate. The place was very clean and the servers were friendly. Great place to go when you have a hankering for some delicious BBQ! How was the staff? Let's just say when I left I knew in detail what the manager weekend plans were. The chef was quiet the waitress was overbearing. Ok ok. What about the food you ask? In a word , Meh. And overly salted. The onion straws were inedible. Never returned. Last week I found myself enroute to a thrift store in rancho mirage and saw another Dickies. It's been 2 years, I thought I'd try a different location and boyoboyoboy am I glad that I did. It seems that all Dickies are independently owned and operated. I was greeted by a lovely ray of sunshine named Rochel whose enthusiasm and smile were contagious. It should be noted that the RM STORE Was cleaner and better maintained. Classic example of poor management. This location is always slow, even when they are almost empty. And not in the "there is a legitimate reason why" kind of way. The rotation of staff I have watched all do the same slow scatterbrained motions as they fill orders while the young lady who appears to manage is in a mental haze. Good food, bad location. I have never witnessed such unprofessional employee behavior in a restaurant in my life! In fact, your employees made us so uncomfortable we decided to take our meals outdoors to eat. Your two male employees made derogatory comments about my boyfriend and I and they used profanities loud enough for us to hear outdoors. They appeared to be taunting my boyfriend and one employee in particular acted aggressively towards him when he attempted to confront them about their behavior. To make matters worse, the side dishes were all lukewarm and the chicken was served in big hunks of meat. Difficult to eat when the only utensils we received were two spoons. We have eaten here many times since you first opened and have never had such a poor experience. Unfortunately, you have lost two good customers.
