My waiter took one look and immediately agreed. No argument. No debate. Just, "Yep... that's overcooked." No worries, mistakes happen. They sent another one out. And then... somehow... they did it AGAIN. At this point I wasn't sure if the kitchen was confused by the term "medium rare" or if every steak in the restaurant was being cooked with a flamethrower. To their credit, the manager apologized and comped my drink, and my waiter did everything he could to make it right. Unfortunately, after waiting over an hour and being served two overcooked steaks in a row, I waved the white flag and left hungry. A steakhouse getting a steak temperature wrong once is unfortunate.
