Each time I have visited the MLT location they don't have plain cheeseburgers ready and when I order them they seem to have an issue with it. I usually have to wait for them. Well why is it on the menu if it's such an inconvenience to you? The second thing I noticed is when you order ketchup or tarter sauce the small container is never even half full. It's like they put a couple squirts in. Both of these things seemed to be reoccurring and I think there could be improvements made. read more

The food is decent enough, but they have serious issues with getting orders right. Which, you'd think wouldn't be hard with a restaurant that doesn't let you customize anything, but it apparently is. I have some dietary restrictions, so I order the plain burgers. Around 25% of the time, I've gotten regular ones in plain wrappers, which I can't eat. It's not just one or two, either, when this happens. It's all four in the bag. I've submitted feedback to their corporate folks through their web site about this on multiple occasions, but I've never heard back, and since it keeps happening, I have to assume that they just don't care. read more

Dick's is a drive in hamburger joint with a simple menu and quick service. Their menu consists of only a few, made to order burgers, fries and shakes. The food came out within minutes despite the large crowd of people here. We both got the deluxe burger- it comes with two patties, cheese, pickles... I really liked it, almost reminded me of In n Out. their fries were too greasy and soft for me. The strawberry milkshake was delicious according to my friend. The facility was clean, with bathroom access, recycling and compost amenities and plenty of parking. read more

This place has always been a staple in Seattle. Dicks has been around for over 62 years. Similar to In N out burger they have a small menu but it's good. Fries are hand cut and they have classic shakes. For anyone who doesn't know they now do plain burgers and all condiments are .5 cents. So there is hope for people with food allergies. Just don't expect a gourmet burger. Still a huge step above McDonald's or Wendy's. They have walk up counters. No tables, no restroom. The service is instantaneous. I ordered a fry, shake and two burgers and it was all ready in about 30 seconds. Customer service was great. Open til 2 am. They also take cards now after 62 years of just cash only. One of my favorite Dick's locations and it's not all the way in Seattle! When I first moved to WA, I didn't really understand the hype about this place, but it really grew on me. After the first few visits, I learned to appreciate the food and business that adds to Seattle's uniqueness. First of all, all the employees have great benefits and are able to apply for a variety of scholarships, which sets a great example to other businesses. All the ingredients are fresh, nothing is frozen. The patties are 100% beef, the buns are locally made and even the fries are made with real potatoes that are cut by hand. The simplicity of Dick's burgers is what makes it special and after one bite, you'll understand why. On top of that, everything is so affordable it's ridiculous. Most the burgers are under $3, fries are under $2 and the shakes are also under $3. It is cash only, but there are ATM's on the side of the bathrooms. This Edmonds location is great because it's safer than Seattle, there's lots of parking and it's always fresh. Everyone who works here is nice and when I ask for unsalted fries they make me a fresh batch every time. Thanks for being so awesome! read more

The only passable item on the menu is the Deluxe burger, which I would give a 6 or 7 out of 10, everything else is just compostable materials AT BEST. I was so excited when I moved over to Seattle to try this place, and words can not describe my utter disappointment on all levels. Don't waste your time or money here :( read more

Dick's is the gold standard for all businesses. They have great food, employees are friendly, and they keep their parking lot CLEAN! I often see a Dick's employee hosing down the lot in the midmorning. If more businesses considered it part of their job description, it might just dissuade hooligans and others from littering and loitering. One of the more unusual locations in the chain, maybe. Right by a busy intersection, but stuck in a corner of a supermarket parking lot--a supermarket that is permanently closed, at least until someone takes it over. What can you really say about these places? They're cheap enough and open late enough that most likely you will try one of them sooner or later no matter what Yelp says. And they're all basically the same. This one is clean and usually busy. It's been here for a couple years and I finally got dragged here. There's nothing wrong with it, and the prices are very fair. The fries are limp and pasty, and the burgers have virtually no patty in the overall patty-to-bun/toppings ratio. Very low meat content, so you mostly taste bread, lettuce, and sauce. It's a pleasant late-night snack after you've spent a fun evening doing other things, but the corny dick jokes (at least from my friends) and low food content get a little wearisome after a while. So I had a deluxe burger. Soggy greasy fries and a chocolate shake. None of which would make me want to return. I prefer a Five guys or a double double from In N Out. This meal for $7.50 was a disappointment. yes, it was fast but lacked tomatoes, jalapeños, and flavor. The shake lacked flavor and seemed to be a mix rather than ice cream, milk and chocolate. I grew up on Dicks Drive In; it's been the same since I was little except for the fact that they weigh their ice cream scoops now! I used to get huge ice cream cones back in the 80's but it's still a great place to go and get a burger and fries late at night. What can I say, I love Dick's. We were at the grand opening celebration, and it was amazing. Where else can you go and hear a huge crowd chanting, "we want Dick's" and it's not dirty. It was standard Dick's food, fast, cheap and delicious. The fries were hand-cut and perfect; the burger was cooked to magnificence, and the shake was creamy and chocolaty. We were there for about 2 hours (grand opening crowds, so that's not typical), but it was worth the wait. Two awesome things about this location are the fact that there's an ATM and the restrooms are clean and peasant. Oh yeah, and best of all; it's right in my neighborhood. read more

This Dick's is in the same spacious lot as Winco. It is the biggest Dick's. There are 8 order windows, so they must get really busy on the weekends....What I like about this joint- the burgers are served warm. I've ordered burgers from the other Dick's in Seattle and they tend to be room temp. This location is also more clean and modern than the other ones....and fast as always. read more

This Seattle fast food chain has been around for decades. I finally went to Dick's and always knew it was on the same level as McDonald's but cheaper. Interesting that it's extra $0.05 to add mustard, ketchup, onions, etc. Got two fries, a hamburger and a deluxe with my friend. They dumped the fries into one sack so we just shared. The fries tasted good but were soggy and limp. The deluxe lacked tomato and I learned they don't offer tomatoes at all. Hamburger was good for what was expected. Service was meh. All Dick's are walk up only. This one is in a parking lot next to Winco and sticks out due to the odd location but is easy to access off of 99. They are going to start accepting debit cards starting 9/1. Cash only till then. read more

So glad they opened a Dick's Drive In a little bit out of Seattle. This Edmonds location just fits right in, Close to the Ferry (Kingston/Edmonds), Open til 2 AM. Very good & Fast burgers just as the other stores have done for years. The Shakes are also excellent. Eating here just makes you feel like a blast from the past, a simpler time when all these burger stands were just starting. Always a pleasure to stop at a Dick's drive in. The location is the most appealing since its rather large and has multiple walk ups. Friendly service as usual and will go back if I am in the area! Dick's to Seattle is like how Inn N Out is for California. It is one thing that quickly identifies the city. This place is truly an example of how great things sometimes just should be simple & comforting. The deluxe hamburger has always been (and always will be) my go-to fast food in this great Pacific Northwest. This is a decent burger place that does not provide much flexibility on how you like your burger. No drive thru either BTW. Have fun in bad weather. It never rains in Seattle. :) The burgers are pretty cheap, but also there is not much to them. Most hardy eaters with need multiple burgers. The deluxe burger is the best choice here IMO. Fries are not horrible and shakes are pretty good. They charge you for ketchup and other condiments. Service here is pretty quick but never very friendly.
