Back when I played tennis on weekends, I went here to buy a pink ball basket. I like that they carry cans of pink tennis balls but they don't have smaller Komen Foundation racquet grips. My boyfriend also bought a tennis racquet here. The selection of racquetball gloves is okay. I had a very positive experience here today. From start to finish, everyone was very friendly and helpful. I want to give a special thanks to the young man who was working in footwear today. I wish I knew his name! I went in looking for softball cleats for my husband and I. My husband was not with me so I had to call him a few times to know what exactly he wanted. Yesterday on October 26,2022 like around 8:00pm-8:30pm I went to go shop to get my girl friend something for her spooky basket for Halloween I was looking for the socks with flowers on them and I asked a girl didn't get her name but she was very nice to me and told me where the socks would be at unfortunately I didn't find them so I started looking into some sweaters and the security guard was just surrounding me like If I was going to take something from them he kept walking around me and eyeing me and it maybe me feel really uncomfortable I actually felt harassed i hope they can review the cameras to see how uncomfortable it was I tried shopping for more stuff but I just couldn't and they can not say it wasn't for me cause if you review the cameras right when I got to the register to pay the security went back to his station and wasn't walking around anymore. I didn't have anything in my hands to make it look like I was gonna rob them or nothing my hands were empty and this security guard was just walking in circles around me and talking on his mic hopefully someone that works there or their corporate can see this and get back to me cause that's honestly very mest up it doesn't feel good at all. read more

Drove about 30 miles to purchase a $1,000 treadmill . Lingered in the treadmill section for at least 20 minutes looking around thinking surely someone will come assist me, nope. Then wandered around the store for another 20 minutes trying to find an employee to help me. Couldn't find one single employee on the floor in almost an hour total . Oh wait , did I mention the store was basically empty/ very few customers. No wonder so many stores close up shop , apparently customer service in non existent these days. Such a shame. They didn't want to honor coupon, clerk couldn't handle, I call talked to a manager (as I live 1.5 hours away, not easy to drop by) and she told me to come back and she would help me. Came here to buy several shirts. Sierra was very helpful. However when I got home I noticed that I was charged a different price than the price on the tag. I came back and was in line to be helped and Daniel was the next associate available. He asked if I wanted to return my items. I said no and proceeded to explain the issue he basically dismissed what I was saying and said, "this IS what you were charged". He didn't even bother to listen to what I was saying. Before I could even give Daniel the "you've got to be kidding me" stare, Sierra came back to the rescue and was beyond helpful and apologetic for the price mix up. Went to Dicks today on my way home to buy soccer gear for my girls. I found some soccer shorts that were marked down, but when I went to check out the price rang up more than what was marked. The front counter employee Kyla was worthless and wouldn't honor the price marked. I should've known better than to shop Dicks. From here on out I will do all my shopping on Amazon or Walmart. Had to exchange a gift I received during Xmas. I wanted the same item just one size larger. The design I received was no longer available, so I chose the same brand in a similar style. The cashier "Kylie" with a scowl on her face told me I would receive the lowest marked price... I agreed .. fair enough. I problem is with how unfriendly Kylie was( in fact no one working was smiling.. it was like they were miserable) I tried to joke and even asked if the store was busy that day.. the response was a nod and zero eye contact. This is a good business and the reason it has so many poor reviews isn't their prices or quality, it's the experience people are having shopping there. I ordered a pair of joggers a pair of Nike joggers along with other stuff and try to do the curbside pickup at eastvale location. Unfortunately the Nike joggers were out of stock the eastvale location. But I still wanted the Nike joggers so I called many of the stores to see if they had them in stock. When I called the chino location a women answered and I had explained to her what had happened with my order and asked her if she could check their stock to see if they had them before I ordered them online. She was very kind and was glad to help me. There is still hope out there not everyone has terrible customer service because she had amazing customer service!!! She even provided me with the number to call to get free shipping since I had spent so much money. I didn't catch her name and I regret that. But she definitely set a good example for what a great employee looks like. So thank you. I appreciate the help. Great experience on Christmas eve "eve". Two days before Christmas and they were pretty busy. Christian helped me with a random product which he knew a lot about and was very polite/patient with me. Hardest time of the year to do so. Don't shop here cause it's cheap, cause it's not, come here for selection and brands you can't get elsewhere. Great phone support too. Dick's sporting goods store in Chino, CA has given me many bad experiences with mix of good experiences, but mostly terrible ones. The staff rarely greet you upon entering the building. Had our bike assembled here. The assembly was done poorly. Things were loose, done half assed, half aired. The staff who helped us (not the same guy as the assembly) was a bit rude and unprofessional. I'd recommend going somewhere else to get your bikes. It was a waste of our time. Was treated poorly and with an utter lack of attention by Craig in the golf department, my "fitting" consisted of five minutes of him watching me swing then making a totally unsure guess of what I'd need. Then they ran my credit which no one seemed to be sure as to if it was a hard or soft check or not, which made me just leave. I then complained on their website and was given another lazy "oh, sorry." Via reply. No attempt to keep me shopping there, nothing. If I could give this place less stars I would. I needed basketball ball outfits for my two girls for a dance routine they were doing. I had forgotten this place existed if it wasn't for google maps I wouldn't have come here. It was the only place that had what I needed. I aimlessly walked through the store for about 10 minutes until I found someone who guided me to the area of the store that I needed. Once I was there I saw what I needed was on sale. You would think this is a good thing but it sucked because everything was unorganized. While trying to make an outfit out of the clothes they had, an employee asked me if I needed help. I explained to him what I needed. He was quick to pass the task to another employee via walkie talkie. That employee NEVER ARRIVED! While waiting my infant began to cry. After waiting what felt like forever and trying to soothe my son. I dumped everything out of my cart and left. Let me start off by saying DAMN I MISS CHICKS SPORTING GOODS! As soon as u walk in there, u got 5 people greeting u which means no one on the sales floor to help u. I went in there to buy some baseball related stuff. I remember when it was Chick's they had everything on every team available! Now they just have local teams (Dodgers, angels, UCLA, USC, Raiders, chargers etc...) which they get one star because I'm a Dodgers fan but it's not fair to those who support other teams, they do exist Dick's. Then I noticed they cater more towards the Anaheim angels. I counted 2 racks of clothing for the Dodgers while the Anaheim angels had 6 racks geared towards them! During the latter part of March 2017, I was shopping for a treadmill on Dicks Online. I was particularly interested in one, but had several questions unanswered . The next day I went to the Chino Spectrum Dick's store. I was met by Craig Nelson and asked numerous questions regarding treadmills. Craig patiently answered all my questions and assisted me by ordering the treadmill. He also assisted me in buying a new Calloway driver, after a thorough swing analysis, we selected the perfect driver, I would like to commend Craig for his professionalism, patience, and product knowledge that made my shopping experience easy and fulfilling . Not impressed with customer service over the phone. The girl who answered was Kyla, or Kylie? Idk, she spoke too fast. Anyways, I ordered a water bottle online, and I received it damaged. I want to make an exchange so I called this location. Her answer: "you can check online and see if we have it and if we do, then we have it and you can come in and get it." Being a former retail manager I found this extremely un useful, so I asked, "can you look it up for me over the phone?" My husband came in to buy a couple of work out shoes....after he asked to try on 3 different pairs he was given 2 boxes of the same shoes...he said everyone left and he couldn't find anybody to help him My husband said there's a couple of people waiting and no one to help. This is a solid place to get your athletic gear! They really have great deals all the time and it pays off to have a free rewards card with them. I love it when they tell me that I've earned a reward and take $20 off of my total. They have been upgrading their apparel because I've noticed that they started to carry Patagonia, exclusive Nike and cute affordable sports bras! They need to work on getting more stylish gear for adidas and reebok! Weekends are super packed here because there are families who are trying to get gear for their kids. I wish they offered fishing licenses here so I don't have to go to big 5. read more

Great place to get everything you need in one place. Some items are pricey but good quality and great selection. I like the rewards program they offer- it's always helpful with 4 kids active in sports to save and get any discounts we can. Friendly helpful staff, quick to help answer questions. Dick's has the WORST customer service I've seen in a while. My husband purchased some cycling shoes online. Dick's sent the wrong size. We returned them to a store who "ordered" the correct size. The shoes never came. My husband contacted and was told that the shoes were out of stock and they would send a gift card for his refund. 4 weeks later the gift card came. We went into the store today to make a purchase using the gift card. Well the gift card was denied and the store manager said we need to call customer service because there is nothing she could do. We call customer service and was told that the was reported lost or stolen and we need to call customer service tomorrow during regular business hours. We just received the card yesterday! I am a regular customer at Dick's Sporting Goods and came to this location for an exchange. I had to drive over 30 minutes and had called beforehand to check to see if an item was in stock. They did have the size I needed in stock so I requested to have that item put on hold for me. When I got there, a guy was helping me at the register and was being cool. He had to get a manager's approval for a price adjustment because the item I bought was on sale at the time that I bought it. So this girl Maria/Mariah came and gave me a major tude. She was so rude and had no customer service whatsoever. She treated me like I did something wrong and was very disrespectful. Why? Because I had an exchange? I wanted to shop but because of her I did not want to give that store my business and will never be coming back to this location. Attitude plays a big role and how she behaved was unacceptable towards a customer. If she was unhappy working there, she should find a new job because no customer deserves to drive over 30 minutes just to be treated like shit. read more

I lived here in chino for 3 years and the last few months this store has become my favorite. I was helped by Anthony when he approached me on the baseball section. He was very professional and great listener on your needs. Few days later I went to buy therapy items for my son when a guy name Christian helped us. He got on the ground and demonstrated my son how to stretch his muscle that been bothering him for a while. Thanks to him and his time to show us how to stretch your muscles before work outs and also some yoga. He is a very great asset to the company. People like him makes us the customers to come back. Last, I've been helped by Vanessa and Madison at the register. Vanessa saw that I wasn't very convinced on my daughter to play softball and she told me that she played softball in high school and that it was a very beautiful sport for my daughter. She convinced me and now my daughter is playing softball. Few days later Madisson helped me at he register. She was very friendly and very knowledgeable of the products being sold. I visited this store today to return an item I purchased. The gentleman who assisted me with my return was great. He assisted me quickly and with great service. After returning my item I decided to do some shopping. I found a few items and went to check out. This time I had a young woman assist me. I had a coupon although forgot to bring it with me. This store is the last remaining place to purchase quality sporting goods and they have great selection. However, a helpful associate helped me purchase merchandise that was not in-stock using the store computer system. The system never acknowledged that my purchases were approved after trying twice on two different machines. A few days later I received a-mails stating that BOTH of the attempts had been charged to my cards (we tried two different ones to eliminate if it was a problem with a card). The shipping is free, but now I must deal with the hassle of returning the one I don't need. Hopefully the computer system can be repaired, although there was not delay in charging the card I used to make purchases at the register for some reason. read more

I purchased some sports Attire at the upland store, tried to use a coupon at the time of purchase, but because they had to order my item online, because they did not have my size in at the time, they could not use my in store coupon. They told me to Return the item once I received it and re purchase with my coupon. I said no problem. They were super friendly and informTive at the upland store. I get the items a couple of days later and happen to be in the chino area, so I returned the items there. They did not want to honor my coupon, so Michelle the "supervisor" on duty at the time comes over and is incredibly rude, and still would not honor my coupon. I had purchased two pairs of shoes several weeks ago and decided to wear my new shoes only to find the security tag still attached to one pair. I took the box, store bag, and receipt back to the store. I walked through the front door only to set off the alarm with the tag. I showed the bag with the box to the people at the counter and asked to have the security tag removed. From the moment the alarm went off I was treated like a criminal. The sales girl asked me, with major 'tude, for my receipt. I set it on the counter and asked to have the tag removed. She spent a full minute matching the numbers on the receipt to the SKU on the box, then walked over to the machine that removes the tag. She removed the tag then handed me the bag and walked away. No response whatsoever, like I was really wasting their time. I get it that they probably have a problem with shrinkage, but once you give the receipt, and it was their fault along, they should at least offer an apology. I left the store only to be so mad when I got my car that I went back in to talk to the "Manager". What a joke. I even went on their website to tell corporate about my experience and asked to be contacted back. No response. Won't be back! read more
