This is an update. I had a lot of trouble with this store, and stopped shopping here for quite a while. I decided to check back in to see if things had improved, and they have. A lot! For starters, I was able to get help almost immediately on the floor. What a difference that makes. This is two different shopping trips in this past month. Secondly, I was able to complete a return without issue. Third of all, they had great sales, and prices on regular items were clearly marked. Finally, they really do have a large and varied selection of clothing, shoes and sports equipment. The store is well-lit and clean, and it was at last a pleasure to shop here. Worst store ever! Staff is unfriendly, didn't even acknowledge me when I walked in. I was looking for help and there was no one around! I will never shop here again! I don't shop here often, as I find the prices to be higher then competitors. With that said, we stopped in here Sunday for fishing supplies and the gentleman that helped us was AMAZING. Skeleton staff are slow to help and then not very helpful. Pricing is random: labels and prices on items contradict (literally two prices on a pack of insoles: MRP $29, then Dicks sticker with $34!) and prices vary without reason (leggings in small $39, exactly the same leggings in med lg were $34). Observed throughout the store. Range is limited. (eg 4 lame lacrosse cleat options, staff had trouble directing me and finding desired clothing items) Initially super impressed with size of the store but I came hoping to buy several straightforward items and left with none. read more

I had a great experience coming to this store. I was looking for waterproofer for some new shoes I had just bought, and workers at the front desk directed me where to go. It is a very large store, with an impressive inventory. It is just missing one thing: customers! Practically empty when I went in on a weekday around 4pm. I loved having the employees to myself to help me find what I was looking for. I can't speak for the prices, but I know that the customer service was spot on. read more

Bought a $50.00 pair of over priced Adidas sweatpants and washed them once (which they piled up and shrunk) and went to return them for either store credit or cash back. I was given the runaround by (2) different people that insisted they were "obviously" worn and they wouldn't help me out with their product that they sell and represent. I told them to keep them (as they wouldn't fit me after the first washing) and I walked out. Needless to say, I won't be back there again. Their prices are outrageous and even my sister got the runaround at this place when she bought an item that had a sale price on it but when she went to go checkout, they stated that the sale price was no longer good. This place is a like a used car dealership off of highway 99. Do yourself a favor and take your business to Sports Authority in downtown Issaquah. You will actually be able to park there as well! read more

We come here a lot as we live across the street and we have a toddler who loves to walk and loves balls - it's a big store. I can't speak to being able to find some more obscure things but they have the usual stuff in all the popular sports. Also I love their clothing selection - they have a good selection for the local sports teams - Mariners, Seahawks, Sounders, etc. read more

Went in to buy a bike Memorial Day Weekend during the weekend sale. They couldn't even sell me one because their bike technician had called in sick that day. I can't believe they wouldn't have a back up technician or at least a second person who knew how to inspect bikes in the store. read more

Personally I feel like people expect WAY too much from dept stores, be patient and be kind, just like their staff was to me. The managers and sales associates searched the entire store to help me exchange a pair of $30 shorts, their service manager Molly was a great help and pleasant to speak to. This place had decent customer service on the floor, and found my desired shirt in the desired color and size in the back. Awesome. Tried to go BUY it, and stood in line a LONG LONG LONG time. Why? The person in front of me had an item that wouldnt ring up right. Spent many minutes waiting on someone to go find a similar item. It was a cluster . I don't get the "hate " comments that are being made. I called Tuesday afternoon to find out if they had an item in stock. Spoke to Connie, with in a few minutes she found what I was looking for and with out even asking told me that she had it on hold for me up front. All she need was my first name and they would hold for me for 24 hrs. Now that's service. I ended up picking up the item that evening and my transactions went very smooth and all done with smiles.. I come here a lot to get my fishing licenses. I have always had luck with that but when I am shopping around the sales floor, its practically impossible to find an associate for help. The store is very bright, clean and organized though! read more

Came here yesterday to pick up some equipment and I asked a lady for help. She was very rude and snappy with me and didn't care to show me where to look just simply pointed and said "over there in the back" she then checked me out as I purchase my things and she had a lot of attitude when I swiped my card before I "was told to". 2 stars because the store overall was nice but not my greatest experience with their staff. read more

Going above and beyond expectations is what a 5 star rating gets. This location helped us buy a sole f80 treadmill and answered all our questions plus helped us load it into our car they even do free shipping. Beware: this place only takes back merchandise that is resellable. They do not stand behind their products nor care about their customers. Don't think they treat their employees very nice either - a manager has to physically frisk an employee, in front of a camera, before they can leave the building! I say go to REI, Big 5, or Sports Authority instead. read more

Dick's has a fraudulent calculation system for the items discounted. I had to pay almost double than what the merchandise was worth. Once I realized and returned the merchandise I got less money than what I paid for the merchandise. The cashiers at the Issaquah store are useless, they can't do basic math calculation with a calculator in hand. read more

The management and the manager, Jim, are very rude people. I'm not a big shopper at Dick's, but thought I'd give this a try since I was waiting around in the area. They rudely told me off on some comments I made as it was common sense and not at all interested at what they competitors are selling a product for a given price. When Jim was brought in, he was extremely rude and harassed me into leaving his store and that "I should just shop elsewhere". If you're nearby, don't bother with them. Just go to a different store like Nike's or Sport's Authority in downtown Issaquah instead of wasting time with their rude behaviors. read more

Called to ask if a item was available I have been waiting 3 weeks for (maybe longer??) I could buy it elsewhere but I USED to like this store but not so much anymore. This store is an absolute joke. The managers, especially the supervisor Jim is an arrogant, disrespectful human being. Yells, and is aggressive with employees. Treat's customers like peasants. All he wants is numbers, yet does he realize to achieve high sales he needs to be personable and needs to train his employees like so. I have never in my experience coming to this store have had any help or support. There competitor, Sports Authority located in downtown Issaquah does the polar opposite. Great service, always friendly associates willing to help. And the manager is such an awesome down to earth understanding guy. Nice store but terrible service. Came in for a hunting license and the person Noah M didn't even greet me. He just sat at computer which had issues. Asked if it was working and his first response I couldn't hear. Gave the appearance of I'm just working here. Also there was a line of others customers with just one person doing the checking. Horrible customer service. Came in with some coupons and the cashier rung me up wrong. She only used one coupon and and when I came back in insisted she was correct and would not give me back the coupon she did not use. Horrible service. Bought an elliptical from them which starting acting up within a month and they are not even trying to help me out or send someone to take care of it....keep passing the buck to the manufacturer. Incompetent teenager incorrectly measured my son's shoe size and then disappeared. Wrong size, limited selection for younger kids, and staff that disappears-not a way to get me to return or sign up for your membership program. Surprisingly, I feel like you can find sneakers anywhere. read more

Our basketball hoop was delivered twice broken and it took more than 5 days the first time for the manager to contact me and the second time I had to contact them after 3 days of waiting. This was a Christmas present for the boys and it is now February and still no hoop. I demanded a refund and they said I had to go to their store to fill out paper work to receive the refund. Never buy as a gift for someone! I received 2 pairs of socks and wanted to exchange them. Without a receipt, salesperson scanned them and send he would give me a gift card for $2.63. The socks were each priced at $12.99. They were on sale for Buy One Get One before Christmas and still priced at that sale price. How does $12.99 for two become $2.63? How can Dicks get away with that? Salesperson remarked that without a sales receipt they can give me any credit amount! Gift buyers beware!! Lost me as a customer! read more

The 2 stars is because I have often gotten some great deals here. The lack of the other 3 stars is the fact that usually you cannot find an associate to help you when your not at the check out. And then today my husband went to exchange our paddles for our kayaks as we have had a horrible time trying to use the ones we got originally. The sales associate (possible the manager as he seemed to be barking orders at the other staff) was extremely rude and insisted in telling my husband he was wrong. I get it that there is a specific way to measure for paddle length depending on your height but if someone comes back to swap them out because the official way of measuring Isn't working try not to be complete and utter arseholes and repeating that we are wrong. Service is horrid! I know these are minimum wage workers and most are kids but they're also pretty useless and condescending. Been there twice to buy shoes and mostly the guys walk right by you (even when you're the only one there). My guess is lazy entitlement issues. One Wednesday night I was there to stock up on running apparel and might have been one of five customers in the whole store and this blonde kid who let me into the dressing room was so condescending I spent $40 instead of about $400 simply because he tried treating me like I was a fellow teenager who couldn't count how many items were allowed in the dressing room. I'm a 40 year old, well educated professional. The young woman working the register has the personality of someone incapable of acknowledging that customer service makes a difference. Odd place, seriously. Lazy, lazy workers. I took my business down the hill to Sports Authority (and spent about $500). The first five times I felt like writing a similar review I held back but last night was the final straw. It's too bad because the place is nice but the horrid service just isn't worth it. read more

Smokey Point, Marysville location: Went in looking for both Men's and Women's winter boots. As soon as we entered the store we were greeted and asked if we could be helped. Good sign, right! WELL...those words were just that, WORDS. We said we were looking for outdoor winter boots for men and women. The employee responded, "Our shoe person just left" "Shoes are at the back of the store". We found lots of athletic shoes and no winter outdoor boots. Nor were there any staff to ask for assistance. I walked to the front of the store hoping to find someone to help. I found one middle aged woman at a register who ignored me and two young men chatting and dancing. They ignored me as well. I had to assert myself and raise my voice three times before they at least pretended to acknowledge me. I clearly asked, "Where can I find your MUCK BOOTS". The staff member spoke into his headset and said, "Where are the BUCK boots" I corrected him twice before he got it right. He then pointed and communicated, "they are in the back left corner of the store". Back we went AGAIN in search of what we went in for. We finally found the poor selection of one style of MUCK boots. We were hoping to find at least a few different styles. Maybe even different manufacturers. They seemed to only have men's. We got frustrated and left. As we left, the same young man asked if we found what we were looking for. We said, "NO" "We are DONE". ONLY then did he offer to help. Too bad, we had a list of items for both myself and my husband that we wanted and were willing to spend. We WON'T be back!!!! read more
