    Dressing rooms are gross

The posters about racism when you walk in immediately ruined my mood. You think people wanna be reminded of racism when they walk in so they can feel bad while they shop? And then you go to try on clothes and again more posters reminding you of racism again, so you're sad now trying on clothes? You may as well put up posters about how you don't tolerate child abuse to and really get everyone's minds focused on negative stuff that wouldn't have crossed their mind otherwise, while trying on clothing. And the fitting rooms are so gross I couldn't even try on my stuff. This was my first and last time here.

I've had a great experience with dicks, sporting good I bought a lot of Christmas and they reminded me through email that I still had a $50 credit that was expiring so I went in and bought a football in a basketball to keep in my trunk. Great service nicer reward to the customers. Nice communication.

Love this store! One of the only retail stores who hasn't taken advantage of Covid-19 by jacking up their prices on fitness equipment and weights. Play it Again Sports more than doubled their prices. Got a 300 pound Olympic weight set with the bar for $299, selling elsewhere for $1,200! Clean store with friendly staff.

Looking for home defense gun. would like used rem 870 with magpul synthetic stock, 16"-18" barrel or same with a mossberg 500 with dm? clip.

870's are awesome. I have one- but you won't find any here. This Dicks location stopped selling firearms.

It's enormous -- the kind of enormous where you half-expect to find a lost civilization in the camping section. And somehow they have everything. Outdoor gear, bike shop, rentals for basically any activity you've ever considered trying drunk at a party, lift ticket discounts... if it involves fresh air and mild suffering, they've got you covered. Now let's talk about the Basementeers membership, because it deserves its own paragraph. Twenty-five dollars. Once. For life. That's not a typo. For the price of a mediocre cocktail, you get 10% off forever, plus occasional 20% Friends & Family discounts. I've made worse financial decisions in the same afternoon. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and seemingly immune to the judgment you'd deserve for asking "what's the difference between hiking and walking." Basically: go. Join. Buy things. Touch grass -- they sell gear for that too.

I…read morewould say this is for corporate, who is making the decision on the amount of credit someone receives for their trade in. I have been trading in with the Preloved department for 5 years. I like the program because the items don't end up in the landfill and someone else can use a perfectly good item. I used to love trading in and the credit was 25 to 30%, then it went to 20% then it went to 10% and now 5% for street items. I do understand camping gear is more than 5%, not much more. I would really hate to see that section go under and not be used the way it was intended, when the program was created. I imagine fewer people are bringing items when they only receive 5% on street items. I brought a street item in, which was a very nice new woman's backpack, with the tags, for $65 not including tax. I received $3.25 trade-in, that's 5%. The down grade is very disappointing. The profits could be shared, the store credit ends up going back into the store. Good luck, maintaining this section due to policies. Please reevaluate before it's too late, check for decline.

On a recent gift hunting trip, I walked into a nearby shop to pickup a birthday present for my wife. I found exactly what I was looking for, however I not a single store associate would even acknowledge my presence. I then thought to myself, "I wonder if Sonoma Outfitters would these?" Sure enough they did and had other options as well. And of course, a salesperson helped me navigate through my decision and took the time to answer my every question. I love this store and hope they remain part of our community for decades to come.

1 STAR -- Extremely Disappointing Experience…read more Absolutely horrible experience at the REI bike shop. I brought in my own wheel to have a hub swapped, and I was initially quoted $140 for the job. I received an email saying the wheel would be ready in four days, so I waited. Four days came and went -- nothing. After I reached out, I finally received a call two days later telling me they hadn't even started the work and that the price was now going to be another $100 for spokes. That was completely unacceptable. I already had access to the correct spokes for around $20. If there was going to be an additional charge, that should have been communicated clearly before taking the job and making me wait nearly a week. Then, two days later, I get another call saying the wheel is ready. Except it wasn't really "ready." They essentially built the wheel and handed it back bare bones -- no tire installed, no cassette installed, and no rotor installed. And here's the part that really irritated me: they wanted to charge me another hour of labor just to install the cassette. We're talking about installing a cassette onto the freehub -- something that takes minutes. I was honestly shocked. I've used this same REI bike shop in the past for a similar wheel build, and the experience was completely different. A few years ago, I paid around $140, and the wheel was properly put together without all of these additional charges and headaches. This time, the whole experience felt like they were looking for every possible opportunity to add another charge instead of actually helping the customer. The lack of communication was just as frustrating as the pricing. To make matters worse, I was asked to sign a release of liability essentially because I didn't pay extra for them to install the tire and cassette. At that point, I couldn't help but feel like the entire experience had become ridiculous. A bike shop should make things easier for the customer, not turn a straightforward repair into a series of unexpected charges and delays. I won't be returning to this location. After being a previous customer, I expected much better. Extremely disappointed and definitely not the level of service I expected from REI.
