I've been coming to DiClemente for almost two years now. My very first visit they paired me up with Anica and I've been coming to her ever since. She's really great at what she does. Everyone always asks me who colors my hair and I always tell them about Anica and DiClemente salon. The whole atmosphere is nice and everybody is friendly and professional. This is my favorite salon! I've been getting my hair done there since they've opened. Corey is amazing at any cut color and style. She did my hair for prom and it was exactly what wanted.The entire staff is like family and they have a very low turn over rate because the employees seem to just love it there. I also get my nails done by Stacey who has become one of my favorite people. First off, the salon is always very well maintained and each one of the staff is so incredibly nice. Hayley Brodowsky has been doing my hair now for about 3 years. Each time I leave I am also a very happy customer. We have done ombre's, highlights, almost completely blonde to dark brown, cuts, extension....etc. Whatever I want she makes it happen! I went this last Tuesday to have a consultation with a stylist. My hair was out of control and I was close to taking a scissors to it myself. I had never been to this salon before and when I called the receptionist was very pleasant and made an app't. for me with their stylist Mindy. My hair is colored a light blond and is naturally wavy. I have had to fight with my hair all my life. Anyway, I was pouring over pictures of the beautiful people in magazines when MIndy came to get me. I asked her to sit next to me and I told her my frustration with my hair and asked for suggestions based on my hair type, face shape, lifestyle, etc. Mindy was very helpful and intuitive. She sensed that I really didn't want to cut my hair real short, but that I was frustrated. She made numerous suggestions that incorporated some of the pictures I had been looking at. I, literally, put my head in her hands as I told her to do what she thought best. She gave me about 6 or 7 foils on top to blend my hair. She then gave me the best hair cut I've ever experienced. She then took the time to show me how to dry my hair using a leave-in conditioner and a shape product to get the soft waves I wanted for the messy look. I was extremely impressed. I had gone in to this salon feeling lousy and came out feeling terrific. Talk about a good hair day! I would highly, highly recommend MIndy. She is one of the best out there. Oh, did I mention that I was just passing through town? I've been to stylists in Boston, New York City, Falls Church, VA, Honolulu, HI, and elsewhere and she is extremely talented. Hey, anyone can cut hair. Only a master stylist can create a style for a particular individual taking into account hair type, face shape, strengths and weaknesses, lifestyle, etc. I so hope I will be around Palmdale so I can go to her in future. As an aside, the salon itself was a bit messy - but I think they were cleaning and re-organizing. But who cares? It's the stylist that makes it a great place. I went in to have my chin length hair cut into a pixie cut. The person who shampooed my hair was rough and I had to explain to him that I have been experiencing hair loss and to please be more gentle. My stylist was George. I did not feel that I had his full attention as he had to greet everyone who came in and also gossiped with the guy who washed my hair. George was rough, too. I had to explain, again, that my hair is delicate and has been falling out. He was still rough. He kept telling me how much I was going to love my hair. Over and over he repeated this in a kind of manic way. The cut was OK. I ended up going to another salon about a week later and got a cut I preferred. This salon is not senior-friendly. They don't understand the issues that older people have with tender scalps and hair loss. I would never return or recommend this salon. read more

It was my first time at diclemente salon. My first impressions were very clean, nice seating area and even had coffee, and water which is nice while you wait. I made a last minute appointment which was nice they could get me in. I was very hesitant about getting my hair cut, coming to a new salon and letting some one I don't know cut my hair, like most others are. Basically I was nervous the whole time, but I'm happy the stylist Hayley did magic. I look like a whole new person! Would definitely come back and recommend this salon. This is a lovely salon but the staff can be inconsistent and the services are pricey for the Antelope Valley (which I don't mind paying except, I didn't feel like I got the value from the money spent). I've had one great stylist (who left after a short time) and one mediocre stylist who didn't do balayage well, at all. When I returned for a follow up visit (because it's fair to give second chances), I asked her to add some low lights to off set the enormous amount of blond in my hair. My hair ended up looking like it did before I came in the first time. It feels like I completely wasted my money. Also, the service can be inconsistent; not always getting the full service I paid for and have come to expect at DiClemente. The last stylist mentioned above tried to be friendly but came off like it was forced. If you go, make sure you find a stylist who is committed to the location, provides full professional service consistently and is experienced in the latest hair trends. read more

ALISA is a hair goddess and so much fun to talk with! I went to her for a couple years and just moved to Oregon. Just had my hair done and messed up in Oregon. Made an appointment with Alisa and flew down to have her fix it. I will definitely spend the money to fly down every few months for an amazing haircut. She is very well educated and knows what she is doing with thinning out and texturizing my thick hair so I can wear it short and is amazing with color as well. Front desk is very friendly. read more

I went to Diclemente Salon yesterday for my first time. Let me just say that I had just gotten my hair done 2 weeks prior at a different salon. I have been to almost every hair salon in Palmdale/Lancaster area and everywhere I went, I always advised the hair stylist what my hair issues are and show them pictures of what look I would like to achieve, I would always ask the hair stylist if they thought it was possible and every time they would say yes. But my hair never, ever came out close to what I asked for, and when I would question the end result (not rude in any way) they would simply say that is how it's support to look or that my hair can lift as much that it was my hair. Never ever would they take responsibility for not being able to accomplish what was asked. Diclemente was my last hope. I told my self if it doesn't work out I will just color my hair dark again. (which is not what I wanted). When booking my appointment at Diclemente couple of days prior, I advised the receptionist that my hair pulls a lot of red tones. (latina issues). And that my hair is really brassy and I was looking for someone that can work with these types of hair issues. The receptionist recommended Mia. She said that Mia had done her best friend hair and that Mia is great at working with my hair issues. So I booked my appointment with Mia. I arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment. The receptionist advised Mia that I had arrived. Mia was working on another client's hair. But was ready for me at my scheduled time. (plus right there, most of the times I always have to wait 20 minutes because either the hair stylist is not there or she is running late due to working on another client). Mia came to greet me and asked what we were going to do to my hair, I then advised her of my hair issues and again as always showed her pictures of what I was looking for. She then looked at my hair and advised me of what she would do to remove all the brassiness and uneven color that I had. (my hair looked a mess with all these different tones). I was soooo nervous and to be honest I was expecting failure. Mia was very friendly and explained ever step. (even with her doing so I was still skeptical). Mia advised that she would take her time to make sure I got what I was looking for. She advised that we Latinas (she is one too) have that issue with red tones (which I already knew). She stated that if the stylist doesn't know how to mix the formulas, the red/brassiness will still remain in the hair. When she took me back to her chair to blow dry my hair I didn't want to look at it until she was done drying it. Let me just say that when she showed me the end results I was YES, YES, YES...My eyes could not believe what they were seeing. I was like thank you, thank you!!! Mia delivered!!! She also advised on how to take care of my hair and what to do in between my next visit which I already booked. LET ME JUST SAY THAT I WILL NOT LET ANYONE EVER TOUCH MY HAIR BUT HER! Ladies if you have the same issues and are in need of a FABULOUS HAIR STYLIST GO TO MIA you will not regret it. She really is the best. Just in case you are wondering I was there for almost 4 hours. Keep in mind that she had a lot of work to do on my hair and her prices are more than reasonable. What else can you ask for. Thanks Mia!!!! read more

I must say, Corey is the best hairdresser I've gone to over the past 40 years...she is truly an artist when it comes to hair! I would advise you to make an appointment with her at least a week in advance (that's how busy she is). Last time I had my hair cut here, it was last minute and Corey was booked up, a girl named Alissa cut and colored my hair. Alissa did a great job and I will use her again should Corey not have an opening available (I'm one of those women who waits until the last minute to make an appointment and that doesn't work with Corey's schedule). I was referred to the salon by my mother in law who has always had beautiful hair and raved about the salon. I have never really spent more than $20 on a haircut so I dragged my feet for quite some time. Then I found myself feeling frumpy at 11 weeks pregnant and on the brink of starting a great new job. I called and was pleasantly surprised to find out they accepted walk-ins and had a stylist available right away (I'm sure this isn't always the case, but how lucky was this in my time of need). I arrived and was greeted by a friendly receptionist, with great hair. She promptly went and brought my stylist, Jenny De La Torre!! She also had great hair and her red heels told me she had a flair for fashion. I plopped down in her chair and kind of broke down. I explained my situation and put my hair in her hands. My visit brought a relaxing wash, good conversation and an amazing cut and style! I left feeling confident and beautiful. Jenny did an amazing job! I wowed my family, friends and co-workers. I just moved to the AV and I was in search for a hair dresser. I did my research and found the DiClement Salon was the best option for me. I called in on a Tuesday and asked to me see that same day. The receptionist was very nice and was able to get me in at 2pm. I arrived 15 min early and was taken in right away with Sandra (not the owner). I explained to her what I wanted and she advised me that what I wanted was going to leave my hair dry and dull. I trusted her with what she had in mind and I could not be happier. It's been a little over two weeks since I've had my hair done at Diclemente Salon. I purposely waited to write a review to see if my hair held up as beautifully as when I left the salon; it has. I was fortunate enough to have been recommended Jenny when I called in describing my requests. I wanted to get highlights on my almost naturally black hair and a haircut. I gave Jenny full control of my hairstyle and color; she did not disappoint. I've never been happier with my hair. She took a ton of weight off my thick ends and the highlights compliment my skin tone beautifully. I can't thank her enough! I've never trusted a hairstylist like I now trust Jenny. I am so happy that Jenny was the stylist that was appointed to me. She asked what I wanted and gave a great consultation. She explained what she was going to do and how she was going to color my hair. I was in the salon for about 3 hours but it felt like less. Jenny is such a friendly person and I loved getting to know her and talking to her. I'm so happy with my new hair cut and color that i refuse get my hair done by anybody else.
