    So we just left this dealership. They had a car we were interested in at a really good online price…read moreof around $15k, so we decided to check it out. The salesperson was actually very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Then we sat down to discuss numbers, and that's when we learned they add in pre-installed "accessories" on top of the advertised price. Brining the price to around $19k. I was instantly annoyed. The manager came over and kept trying to convince us to finance the car so the monthly payment would be lower. The problem was that my wife and I didn't care about the monthly payment--we just wanted a fair out-the-door price. Once it became clear that we weren't falling for the payment-focused sales pitch, the manager asked, "What do you want from me?" I told him, "I want you to list the car for the price you're actually trying to sell it for." His response was, "Well, you can't get everything you want. I want a bigger house..." and he continued trying to justify the pricing. This business model feels very predatory. They advertise an attractive price to get people in the door, then add thousands of dollars in mandatory accessories afterward. Yes, the add-ons are mentioned somewhere in the listing, but most people aren't going to read every line of the fine print. They know exactly what they're doing, and then they blame customers for not reading the entire description. I can easily see someone inexperienced getting taken advantage of here. The only positive is that we learned to always read the full description before making the trip. Thankfully this dealership wasn't far from us. If we had driven hours only to discover these extra charges, I would have been even more frustrated.

I was…read moreinstructed to bring my vehicle in, but I am located about 4 hours away and needed written confirmation of the repair and appointment before making the trip. Despite multiple requests, I was not provided clear written confirmation or consistent communication. I also requested communication in writing due to a medical condition, but this was not effectively accommodated. Because of the distance, I could not proceed without confirmation, and the situation remained unresolved. I hope the dealership improves communication, especially for customers traveling long distances.
