I was linked to a used Jeep Wrangler online; was a little outside of my preferred price range but I figured what the heck, I'll go take a look and see what can be done. Next day, I went and checked it out; the sales associate, Rick Waddell, gave me a rundown of the vehicle as we checked it over, and was very upfront with the current condition and known issues. We went on a test drive, which sold it for me, so we started doing all the necessary paperwork. My credit isn't the worst, thought certainly not the best, but Rick kept at it in trying to snag a good deal for me. In the end, we got to a price range with which I was comfortable, cleared the necessary hurdles, scheduled a time to have the known issues rectified, and I was able to drive out later that day (Rick even helped me in getting my current vehicle returned to my residence without having to get another driver to make back and forth trips). The patience I received in the vehicle and financing discussions, the upfront honesty concerning issues, and the complete absence of pushback or forceful suggestion to look at other inventory, made what I expected to be a somewhat stressful process actually quite laid back. The other staff encountered were quite friendly and courteous, holding doors and asking if I needed anything such as water and the like. The only suggestion for improvement I can offer is a minor one; slightly more comfortable chairs at the desks. I could not have asked for more from my used car buying experience. Crystal Poirrier was at the front door when I arrived. She then went and brought the truck I had email about via Autotrader the day before. Crystal walked us through the entire process, not passed around the staff. They were very polite. Zero sales pressure. Waikem Mitsu didn't push any extras I was not interested in. I've only experienced that respect from implement dealers. I usually buy vehicles from private sellers. I do 95% of my repairs and maintenance. The last time I bought a used vehicle from a dealer I was glad I have skills that allow me to avoid dealerships. When the transmission needed replaced I could do it. Now I feel if I have the money for labor on a major repair I will get a quote from Waikem. Just because a shop can fix something doesn't mean they care. I feel Waikem cares enough to work on any of my vehicles. Waikem Mitsu replaced the brakes and an emission part before putting the truck up for sale. And still they asked no more than private sellers whose vehicle would have needed to be caught up on maintenance; which would have meant haggling. It was a 1.5 hour drive one way for me. I was nervous about financing. I didn't have terrible credit, but it wasn't what it had been in the past. Life happens and we don't always have the best credit when we need it. I had a great experience at Waikem Mitsubishi ! My wife and i were looking for a crossover for her, and had narrowed the field to four different brands. But it was the patience and understanding of Rick Waddell that helped make our decision on a new 2018 Mitsubishi.
