Wow! This is the pit stop for everything from foodstuffs to hardware to prepared and fresh foods ... it's the most perfect quaint little shop that's actually not so small! Fantastic customer service with who we spoke in Punjabi and Hindi :-) It also has loads of alcohol, which we didn't buy but ... the prices and variety is right. Parking free and easy!

This is one of those stores that's deceptive, in that from the outside, it looks small, once you go inside, it packs more than you think it would. It really is an all-purpose store with all kinds of sundries, food items, fresh veggies, wine and drinks and all sorts of stuff. In stopping here, we were in search for panko and brie cheese. Yep, they had 'em and I was kind of skeptical at first if they'd have them. It was another one of those times I was glad to be proven wrong. So whether you're in the area for a day-trip, a picnic, camping or moteling, this is a reliable place should you need something. Oh, and there's a dedicated parking lot for the store as well.

Good deli sandwiches, the drinks were luke warm, the refrigeration wasn't refrigerating. Other than that, they have everything from bait, firewood, fresh pizza, liquor and more.

Had my bachelorette weekend in Bodega Bay and needed supplies (bug spray and RAID specifically) They have a bit of everything. Very convenient and great service.

Diekmann's is great. I've lived in BB for 8 months and I'm there 3 or 4 times a week for something or other. Pizza is pretty darn good.

You can find plenty of ready-made goodies to eat on site or to take away for a picnic. We prefer buying fresh fish on ice to take home to cook ourselves. Beautiful halibut, oysters, mussels, clams, crabs, prawns, calamari, swordfish, rockfish, tuna, salmon, different smoked fishes, scallops.. I guess I don't need to list out every single fish they sell, but that's off the top of my head! I've only ever bought fish that was fresh and good -- we haven't had any poor experience or purchases. Outside of the headliner, seafood, they also sell a fantastic assortment of cheeses, deli meats, wine, jams and jellies and pickles and olives, oils and breads. Everything you need for a quintessential northern california meal. Except for fresh produce, go to Diekmann's for that! Prices are a little up there, and it's certainly become more "touristy" over the years, but that's just the nature of capitalism, y'all.

Yes, it's been kept cold in my fridge for three days and yes I do smoke a lot of fish myself so I know the shelf life is quite a bit longer than that! There's no reason to sell patrons totally over-due items like this! And incidentally the smoked herring I also bought at the same time is just fine! You should be ashamed of yourselves!

Every single one was an enchanted talisman that could directly connect me to the ocean, and I felt the need to collect them all. For some reason I was particularly fond of the sand dollars! I'm not much of a seashell collector anymore, but I'm still mesmerized by all things ocean-related. I grew up visiting Bodega Bay every summer, shaping my love for cold, eerie, foggy, rocky beaches.. Then in the eighth grade we read the short story that the movie "The Birds" is based on by Daphne du Maurier (more horrifying than the movie, AHHHH it's so good). I developed a love for horror, and also became a big fan of Hitchcock and Kim Novak (Vertigo is one of my fave movies ever). Sooo, naturally, I was primed to become a staunch lover of Hitchock's "The Birds," filmed here in Bodega Bay. Where am I going with all this? Tides Wharf is featured in the film, and this gift shop pays beautiful homage to the movie with fantastic merch. Come here to learn all "The Birds" history and trivia and leave with all kinds of memorabilia. If you're not into "The Birds" (what is wrong with you haha) it's okay -- this spot is otherwise your traditional oceanside gift shop selling all the beachy goodies you'd ever want, from tiny puka shells to enormous conchs, to t-shirts and toys, magnets and shot glasses, local art and stationary, jewelry and mugs, candles and soaps, and so much more.
