This family company helped us when no one els would. Our RV broke down on 6/6/22, I called over 18 places and all of them send that they were booked out for 2 weeks. David answered the phone and I explained the situation we were in. He said "bring it down and we will look at it for you" so we did. After they were done looking at it David came back out and told us it's going to be 3 days before it's done. Our heart sank, we explained to them that we had our "save the date" photoshoot on Thursday night. Cris and I got a rental and booked a hotel. Brought my 99 Dodge Ram 2500 here for work on the following. (Complaint of growling from front axle), I told them it may be a wheel bearing? Install of Edge Juice with attitude (they did a great job with this) Alignment (had it perfect at a prior shop, yet this shop could not get it right). Transmission service and adjustment I have never felt more ripped off after figuring out that they really didn't do much and I paid over $3,000!!! Changed wrong side hub assembly (still growling when I left). Messed up alignment (worse then when it came in) Transmission i had to tear back into less then 3k miles later because something just was off... I did band adjustment on both front and back bands inside and outside of trans changed Governor pressure solinoid some of the purple in the pan smelt burnt bought 7 new quarts 160$ later new transducer upgrades Just terrible that I spent as much as a fuel trans rebuild on things I had to still end up doing myself. (no one even test drove this truck before it was picked up) I was told it would be done a couple days prior to pickup. Yet when I got there it was a scramble to get it done. I have spent thousands and thousands here and for what? They did great for me the first time I had a sensor replaced on my 6.0. This last time was a total let down. I'm a regular customer. Dropped off my 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 at 8 am for an oil change and 150,000 mile check up. Told them about a bulb out, and rear diff leak. Tommy called me back about an hour later that I had several bulbs out and the gasket and seal needed to be replaced. They got it done and I picked up my truck by 3 pm. This shop is top notch to say the least. I brought my truck in with a intermittent issue that 2 other shops could not fix. After two attempts at fixing the issue and not being successful DPS just said "we aren't going to let this beat us" and kept the truck almost 2 months and at their own expense and time hunted down and ultimately fixed the issue. Wow. That kind of attitude is not common lately and they could have just given the truck back and handed me the keys to my problem. They did not. Wow, was the first thing that came to my head after having Diesel Performance Specialties install a BDS 4" Coilover system on my 16' F250. I talked to Trevor for a week about the vast types of 4" lift kits and he help me decided to choose that system. Just bought a NEW 2018 Chevy 3500 that came with the OEM 5th wheel puck system that GM, Ford and others use for quick attachment of 5th wheel hitchs. I needed something beefier for my new truck, as I pull a heavy 5th wheel travel trailer and use a Andersen Gooseneck type hitch. I wanted a B&W turnover ball hitch installed. I had this work done on my old 2007 last year and wasn't happy with the installation that another "truck speciality" business had done. So, I read the reviews and talked to Bill and Trevor about the removal of the OEM puck system my trick had and the installation of a new B&W turnover ball hitch. This project was easier said, then done. The guys at DPS really came through for me and did a awesome job with the install. Communication was Great! Nice, clean work and very solid installation. Not sure why my previous review was deleted so reposting. If I could give zero stars I would. Our 2012 Dodge RAM was having intermittent surging issues. After bringing in our truck twice in 2 months and paying almost $6000, unbeknownst to us the issue was not resolved by Diesel Performance Specialist which ultimately resulted in us breaking down on our family vacation to Yellowstone Park. This resulted in us having to spend almost $4000 on towing fees, car rental to try to salvage or vacation, truck rental to get us and our RV back to California to return to work, and expenses to trailer our truck back to California after a shop in Idaho Falls wasn't able to look at it after it sat in their shop for 2 weeks. Our truck is now at Auburn Dodge and they were able to diagnose the issue in an hour that Diesel Performance couldn't diagnose/repair. We are now spending another $6000 to actually fix the issue this time. I requested at least a partial refund but the owner Dennis was not willing to honor their work without us returning parts and proving that they were at fault or bringing our truck back to them, which we are not comfortable with. Unfortunately we will now be paying off our credit card for the next year with interest. read more

I can't say that I base my decision based on Yelp reviews, but I decided to take a chance. Tried to get my F250 into Future Ford, but they were at least 2 weeks out. Called and Talked to a friendly lady in the back and she said Tommy would call me back. He actually did- and quickly! I had to have my truck towed in, so I didn't actually get to meet any of these wonderful people, but I talked to about 5 different people and everyone was friendly and professional. Tommy advised me that they would evaluate my truck and call tomorrow- I was floored. They actually did what they said they would and called me the next day with an evaluation, as well as a worse case scenario, so I wouldn't be surprised. I agreed and they said they would be wrapped up within the week! I couldn't believe this. Sure enough, they called me on Friday and I was good to go. Whoever is in charge of the culture here deserves a medal. I called Tommy to tell him how impressed I was, and it seemed to make his day. I'm sure these guys get this a lot. In a world of COVID crazy, stands a rock of a business that believes in standing by what they say, are respectful, and seem genuinely happy to work there. These guys are top notch. My son bought a truck that had way more wrong than he thought (life lessons)! We brought it in and they really looked it over, gave a thorough assessment, advice, explanations etc. they were so understanding and patient and concerned that we didn't get in deeper than what made sense. In the end, they probably lost money on the deal, since it didn't make sense to pay a shop to repair it (repairs would be more than the value). But they gained a customer and our respect for sure! So havent been able to drive my truck as the gas gauge was never repaired correctly and brake/abs lights are back on. We replaced all of the brake system other than lines at my expense including brake booster pads rotor drum assembly proportion valve. Everytime they said it was repaired I got a ride to pick up truck and brakes were worse. Took it back 4 times for same issue. Gas guage was broken due to float in pump first time they repaired it said they adjusted and repaired float, ran out of gas out of town, brought it back and was told there is no replacement part for my truck. I found one on summit in 5 min of a Google search. They purchased and "installed" at no discount I might add. Took truck home ran out of gas near my house mind you every time you run out of diesel you have to reprime on side of road. Called and spoke with owner who did not apologize. Under new ownership same problems. They had my truck for over a month no contact unless I called for an update. This is my work truck so I'm losing money waiting on repairs now it sits in the yard undrivable do to brake system and fuel guage. Mechanic laughed and said his old truck didnt have a working gauge so he just calculated. I had to source parts from summit and local all dodge yard as they simply stated they could not find the parts not sure how they maintain a 4.9 star rating as I've heard similar story's. read more

I have a 2003 dodge diesel. Was not running. They tested injectors. They were fine but need a high pressure injection pump. $2,000 still wouldn't run. Next they replaced fuel pump. Dodge replaced fuel pump, but they said it was garbage. So Fass fuel system would fix and guaranteed it for $4,000 dollars. Still nothing so they said it needed a new computer. Cost only $15,000 dollars. No thanks I know someone who will fix it. Just get to Washington state. Z came over and one hour later truck was running. Cost a $29.00 dollar censor. So would I recommend them? NO learned computer keeps history until reset. Original compression injector was fine and dodge fuel pump was also good. read more

Took my 2004 6.0 Diesel Ford Excursion to DPS and was very pleased with their service again. I am so glad I found this place!! This shop is so much better and cheaper than you will find at the dealership (I call them stealerships) :) I originally took my Excursion in because I knew it had a problem with the high pressure oil pump, but after they stated to dig into the issues with my engine the more things needed to be replaced or fixed. I wasn't happy about having to spend $8,000 when I was told it was going to cost around $1,000-$1,200, but we had no way of knowing what it was like inside the engine.... metal in the motor was the culprit so there's not much you can do but tear it down and fix it. There was metal was in the oil cooler, all injectors and the high pressure oil pump, egr cooler etc... I dealt with Trevor this time and he is just as responsive, helpful and knowledgeable as Mason. Trevor called me with updates regularly which is awesome, I can tell you that I don't get that kind of service at the dealership. Trevor recommend the fixes that were needed and didn't try to rip off. I was only given recommendations that were worth the long term investment in my Excursion. The 6.0 has issues but now my engine is bulletproof so I can now drive the wheels off it. The Excursion is getting harder and harder to find. I am very pleased with the work they did and the professional attitude from all of their employees.
