I used to eat at the food truck regularly (years ago), so I was pleasantly surprised to realize this was the same. Much bigger selection at the restaurant, of course, but still the same high quality. At the food truck I got hooked on the All Thai'd Up Quesadilla so when I had the chance to get a to-go order, of course I ordered that here, and also got chicken chipotle tacos and chips and salsa. Still great, and my wife and I enjoyed the tacos. Family ate the chips and salsa so I can't comment, except to say that I didn't get any, which probably says all I need to know. read more

Been a regular here for a few years. Love the dillas and they even provide vegan alternatives for every menu item which is cool. Never have I received worse service before in my life. We got delivery last night after a long day of moving and it was delicious. Husband is a tough cookie on Mexican food and he was impressed with his mac'n'cheese Dilla. I got a California Dilla subbing the vegan cheese for Jack cheese. It was fabulous and I'm looking forward to my lunch leftovers. They have such amazing salsa. It's practically drinkable... The only complaint is that our chips were incredibly stale so we supplemented with chips we had at home. Looking forward to next time! read more

This was my first time to the neighborhood staple specializing in quesadillas, tacos, and margaritas. They are also known for their homemade aqua Fresca. I made a great choice in Chupacabra and my daughter chose the Chicken Dilla. Both quesadillas were excellent! I like how they let the cheese ooze out around the edges and create a crunchy skirt for the case quesadilla. We also had the aqua Fresca, one of my daughter's favorites. She said it was really good. It's a small location, but seems to be very festive in its interior decor and the patio area. Our waitress was very attentive and when she was not attending to us, there was always someone at our table checking to see if we needed anything. The service here is exceptional and it has a great vibe. The food, though, is different for the sake of being different, and proof that new or different aren't always better. I went on Taco Tuesday, so I was able to try three of their $3.50 tacos. They are tiny. The carne asada didn't have as much flavor as I would have liked, and although it was less tough than most Phoenix-area taco joints, it was far from tender. The Chipotle Chicken was not so good. The aioli tasted like barely modified mayo. The Banh Mi is a mismatch of flavors. I know many reviewers on here raved about it, but maybe this is why the Vietnamese didn't invent tacos? This place is about a 30-second walk from the less cool but much better and cheaper Chispa's. read more

This was one of our favorite places during our weekend in Scottsdale! The menu has a lot of mexican and Asian fusion features and is friendly for vegans/vegetarians. My husband and I shared the banh miga in the quesadilla style (they make their quesadillas with cheese encrusted) which was amazing and highly recommend and the shrimp tacos. We also got the cauliflower bites for the table for our group of 8, we tried both the buffalo and dank herb sauce. Wrote this for Dilla Libre Dos Yelp page. Browsing on IG today, I came across Dilla Libre Dos (aka LunchaLibre aka United Lunchadors). I was a little confused cause I know there's the food truck and the location on northern. But this is in Scottsdale. The Dos part in the name went right over my head. But this is exactly where Pho King's brick and mortar is/was located. I little digging through the IG profile.. And my Rita and Dilla dreams are about to be reinvigorated. Lol we've been customers of the truck since 2013 back when we went to Wednesday nights at Phx Public Market. Food is still as good as I remember. However all three of our Dillas (S&B, Papa Verde, and Chicken D) were overdone to the point that the tortillas were separating. But the flavors were on point. Any the churros were tasty! Now we don't have to drive to northern or chase the truck around the valley to get our Dilla and Rita fix! read more

Ordered Dilla Libre for pickup with my boyfriend and we both felt it was okay. To start, we had the elote, Mexican street corn. It was a bit watery and did not have enough salt or spice. Next, we had the All Thai'd Up Dilla and this was probably one of my favorite part of the meal. The flavors from the citrus marinated chicken combined with spice of the serranos was delicious! As pictured, the cheese overflowed from the tortilla and became extra crispy...yum! Lastly, we had the Shrimp and Banh Mi tacos. Between the two, the Shrimp tacos were my favorite. The Tapatio aioli was a great idea but I longed for more spice. They were still delicious without the extra spice and I suppose I could add hot sauce in the future. The Banh Mi sounded amazing in theory but the pork itself was very bland. With the flavor lacking, these tacos were a bit on the dry side when trying to consume. We both added the salsa to these in hopes of adding the extra *umph* but the salsa was bland, too. Overall: much of the food was blander than we like it. read more

First off, the spot is beautiful. Gorgeous art adorns the walls inside and out. The staff is incredible. Funny and kind, warm and inviting. The food.... wow. I had been to the other location a few years ago but this was my first time ordering from this one! I was impressed with all the options and how they have a whole vegan menu! I ended up ordering a California burrito with no meat and extra beans. My fiancé got carne asada tacos and rice , and we shared chips, salsa, and queso. Everything was delicious! I loved my burrito, especially the French fries and guac inside! I don't think they remembered to put cheese in it though? It was still really good. Queso and salsa was awesome too. I had previously given Dilla Libre (Dos) a 5 star review. As a vegan, I LOVE the flavors of their food, and the unique combinations. I grabbed dinner there the other night for the first time in 5 months and WOW was I disappointed in the cost and portion sizes. $2.50 for chips and salsa was LITERALLY 5 chips and one of those tiny cups of salsa. 5 chips for $2.50. And the Vegan Thai Dilla was delicious BUT about half the size I remember getting from there in the past. Basically, an appetizer-size serving. Total charge: $20.40. Breaks my heart, but no way is their food worth that price for the quantifies served. read more

Update: since my fist time we have gone back four more times and every single time they have executed with such impressive consistency. I still believe the napoleon dynamite is the best, but have since tried the bahn mi, and the dank shrimp dilla and both were so delicious and uniquely fantastic. I think Dilla Libre's strength is their execution on these unique and diverse flavor profiles, and their sheer creativity and consistent execution (seriously the tots inside the napoleon are such a revelation). The staff is so welcoming and anticipatory- I don't know if the bald gentleman is the owner but he is always there and so warm and eager. Hands down the best meal in Scottsdale for me, and a 110/10 for our out of town guests. read more

Wow! If I could write a review just about salsa, this would be it! What do they put in there? Short and sweet: great food, tastes fresh, love the aqua frescas, and good service! Went on a Tuesday so got to try the a-la-cart tacos (only on Tuesdays) so I tried the cauliflower taco.. YUM! BTW.. they have a vegan menu! A unique taco I also got was the Bahn Mi Taco. It had Serrano peppers so I asked to keep those in the kitchen and wow, it still turned out AMAZING! My fiance who had it with said it definitely had the kick!! They also have these salsas and sauces on the side.. I love a good sauce so we got the tapatio crema and salsa verda.. both of those on a chip.. and the salsa.. MIND BLOWN! Our friends got the habañero salsa and that was so spicy, but they loved it! On top of the food being amazing, I saw Im assuming the owner?? guy pouring some liquid into a Mason jar and and asked what it was.. found out they have aqua frescas.. SO GOOOOOD!! They had flavors like Hibiscus and Dragon's Blood?!?!?! Either way we got the Pineapple, Coconut and Watermelon, felt like I needed to be on a beach AND we got to keep the jar! Cute! Either way, he was managing the whole place and still managed to do it all with ease and never really felt like we weren't getting service. If I could give this 0 stars I would. I've never dealt with such unprofessional, rude service in my life. I went there to pick up a mobile order. The food was literally ready and sitting on the counter. All it needed was to be placed in a bag. The guy behind the counter sat the family that was in front of me in line. When he came back he asked me if I was there to pick up an order to which I said yes. He then proceeded to ignore me, prepare drinks for the table he'd just sat and take it out to them. Ok, no big deal... then he continued to not only take their orders, but the orders of another table as well. He finally came back when he was finished with all of that and continued to act like I wasn't there. I spoke up and said, "can I have my order now please?" His response to me was, "yea it's this one right here, relax." Relax?! I then said, "relax, I've been waiting here for over 10 minutes for food that's sitting right there." His response to me was, "‍ I don't care." You don't care? Excuse me? Obviously I got understandably angry at this point and demanded he give me the order. He then tried to deny me the order that was already paid for. He said "now you're not getting it at all." And he proceeded to try to hide the food from me and he walked away. I had to reach over the counter and grab my order. As I was leaving he got in my face in a threatening manner. Luckily he didn't assault me and I was able to leave, but the whole experience was incredibly unprofessional. I've been there several times before and never saw him so he must be fairly new, but... He should not be employed there if that's how he treats customers. UPDATE: the business owner commented on this review asking for more information. Before I had a chance to respond, he deleted his comment and filed a complaint to yelp in a sad attempt to have my review removed.
