I didn't try it myself, but my father-in-law ordered the Masala Jaljeera and he didn't seem to be a big fan. He mentioned that maybe he should have ordered the Kokum Jeera Soda instead. The restaurant is clean and the ambiance casual. Service was a little slow at the beginning, but once we placed our order, the food came out very quickly. I do wish they had given us a little more time to enjoy a few dishes before bringing out the rest. Our table felt pretty crowded when everything came out at the same time and we were shuffling dishes to make space while we ate. To be fair, we ordered a lot of food, and we probably could have asked for the dishes to be brought out in stages. The butter chicken (around $22) came in a medium-sized bowl, and the plain Fragrant Basmati Rice (about $8) was a separate order. For my drink, I had a Moscow Mule. Instead of the traditional copper mug, it was served in a martini glass with a dried fruit garnish, which was a nice presentation. It tasted great as well. The only downside for me was the price. Our bill for two people came to about $148 before tip, which felt a bit expensive for what we ordered. The curry is also well-spiced and flavorful. (IMPORTANT INFO: Bring cash. There's an additional 4% fee for card payments. Also, this location accepts EBT.) I arrived at Curry Time (Pomona) on Monday (around 4:25PM). Parking is easy. The lot is fairly empty. Staff is very friendly, curious, and welcoming. Staff repeatedly attempted conversation. Staff even appeared surprised that I'd chosen to dine-in. The food arrived very quickly since the curry sat on hot trays. As mentioned, I ordered the "2 Item Combo" ($15.99) and "Garlic Naan upgrade" (additional $1). The naan tasted buttery and hot; the garlic flavor was fairly muted, so I don't think the upgrade was worth it. Thankfully, the rice tasted very fresh and clean. For the "2 Item Combo," I chose Butter Chicken Curry and Goat Curry (additional $1.50 charge). The Butter Chicken is DELICIOUS!! Its chicken is tender & juicy, and its curry is thick, creamy, and well-seasoned. I happily embraced its light spicy kick. Concerning the Goat Curry, the sauce is heavier and savory. Unfortunately, the Goat Curry's protein tasted bitter, chewy, and almost rubbery; there's also many bones. Still, both curries felt well-intentioned and thoughtful. She also gave me a free bowl of miso soup since I was dining in. Everything was tasty flavor wise but I did have some hard pieces in some of the seafood. I chose the signature sauce with spicy mayo. There were a decent amount of tables and all clean.

Dilliwala is one of the few places in California which strikes a suitable balance between quality of food, spread of items and value for money. Very hard to find a place like this. In addition, the Indian kitchen which makes it all more special. Luckily, visiting this place made my day. Booked table #9 for a get together to meet my friends after so long. This place complemented the meet very well. Very sober, semi covered wooden finish, sounds of melody and the essence of fragrance. Food experience: It was just extraordinary!! We were given papad before our order with a warm welcome we enjoyed it meanwhile. Starting with chicken malai tikka it was so fresh, creamy and melting. The lamb chops were delicious...and the tandoori chicken and seekh kawab was soo tasty that I just can't express them in words should be tried with no other option. All these fabulous starters were served with two sauces the mint and tamarind which just went so well. Moving on to the main course..the chicken tikka masala, karahi lamb and palak paneer all 3 were just fantastic with different spice and blend. With the breads garlic naan and dilliwala special naan served hot and fresh tasted amazing. And also not to forget the chef special rice..wow with rich dry fruits in it. Exceptionally good. Ordered few beers and the lemon masala drink which was the side to all the food we are and was just perfect. One of the most impressive things were the deserts and size of the portions served, makes you try all so that you don't end up wasting. The outstanding moong dal ka halwa and bahar-e-jamun great combination mouthwatering sweets. I'm pretty sure this place looks like a bride in the night. Service was nice and pleasant, non intrusive and alert by manager which made sure we got what we wanted. The staff were very responsive. Even the chef took his time out to meet us. Dilliwala stands out from most Indian places - it's packed with flavor, the ingredients are so much fresher most places, and you can tell that it's all made in house. The service is also outstanding - always attentive, no hovering, and they can make real recommendations based on your palate. If you're confused about what to get, ask them what their signature dishes are and what makes them stand out from the rest. Spice level - go for something a little spicier than you'd normally get, as you can always tame it down with plain yogurt. Here are my suggestions (for 2-3 people who will leave stuffed and/or have leftovers): - Aloo Samosa - Chicken Malai Tikka - Tandoori chicken that's incredibly moist and "melts in your mouth", according to my kids. You can also get the Chicken Tikka Platter. - Paneer Tikka Masala - Like chicken tikka masala, but with cubes of fresh, homemade cheese. - Dal Bukhara - a brown lentil dish that's packed with flavor. This one was made just like ones I've had at the fanciest places in India. - Dilliwala Naan - like garlic naan, but spicier and packs a lot more flavor - Mango lassi - a mango and yogurt drink that helps if you get something that's too spicy Tip: It can be hard to find - it's in the same shopping plaza as the 76 station, AutoZone, and a TrueValue hardware, along with other places. I dined in here the other day with a couple of my friends. It was my first 'genuine' Indian food that I ever ate at a restaurant! We started off with the goat cheese appetizer (I apologize for not remembering the meals names). It honestly tasted like chicken nuggets in my opinion, but it was quite tasty. We also ordered three meals that were the ones with the lamb(redish color) being one, goat(greenish color) and lastly the chicken (orange color). We also ordered the Garlic naan bread and the Dallawali naan (recommend). It came out in about 10-15 minutes which was understandable, and within waiting we were given complimentary Indian chips? With two sauces one being green (lemon minty taste) and one reddish brown color(sour/sweet). When the food came out the food had quite a lot of flavor for all the dishes which we loved! It worked really well with the naan and all around I'm definitely going to come again when I have a craving for Indian food! Parking won't be an issue if you're dining in the evening, but be aware the restaurant is quite small, but very well put. The service was great as well. Asking us if we needed help with ordering because of the names, as well as being near when we needed assistance. The reason why I am giving it a 4 star was because I was looking for something 'WOW!' I had an incredible dining experience at Dilliwala Indian Kitchen! This is some of the best Indian food I have ever had. The garlic naan was perfectly cooked - crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and infused with the optimal amount of garlic. The shrimp coconut curry was a symphony of flavors, with tender shrimp bathed in a delicious creamy coconut curry sauce. The tandoori chicken was cooked to perfection, tender and smoky, with a mesmerizing blend of spices. The service was great, and the ambiance added to the overall charm of the restaurant. Look no further for better Indian Food ... This is it ! I stopped going anywhere else . Artesia is a joke .. Most restaurants there are run by untrained cooks and their owners . Manny the owner is an artist who crafts his food and it shows in his preparations . My favorite is his Amritsari Kulcha and Chana Masala .. Try this and you will forget every other place you ate this preparation . I say this not lightly as I am from Delhi and that famous little corner shop in Lajpat Nagar that specializes in this item is not even a close second . Came here yesterday for a friend's birthday dinner & had a great experience! Service was excellent, food was very delicious and flavorful. All my guests from Delhi went back to their past and said the food reminded them of food served in Delhi restaurants. Quite authentic! The malai kofta & daal bukhara is to die for! This place deserves at least 100 stars. It's the most authentic Indian food in Los Angeles. The tradition of opening your home for friends and cooking for them is exactly the feeling reflected in the space, the staff and the spectacular food. The lamb chops are mouthwatering. There are many Indian places in Diamond Bar/Walnut, but this is the only one where me and my husband can go on a romantic date because it is a classy restaurant, with good lighting, and good beer/wine. The waiters are attentive and polite - they always ask if we need anything. My only request for Dilliwala - use better quality vegetable oil. I can taste that the oil quality is low. read more

Maninder is the God of Indian food in California. I would even say this is the best Indian food in the United States. To be honest, I didn't even have Indian restaurant food this good the last trip I made to India. But the best part about this place is the excellent service and friendly staff. read more

I decided to finally visit and chose the Rowland Heights location since it's conveniently located next to a 99 Ranch, and I wanted to go grocery shopping after. Dolan's has received many accolades such as winning #63 on the L.A. Times 101 Best Restaurants in 2025 (#44 in 2024) and received an 8.0 rating from the Infatuation [2, 3]. If you're curious like me, the word "Dolan" refers to a people or region of what is now the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR) and refers to an earlier culture and civilization in the region [4]. The restaurant is comfortable, not too many tables. Since I was eating dinner pretty late, there was only one other party finishing up their meal. The walls are decorated with plates, musical instruments, and trinkets that I'm assuming are associated with the Uyghur culture. A huge mural near the back features comically muscular men playing musical instruments with #GoogleUyghurs on the top right corner, referring to the oppression of Uyghur and other Turkic minorities in XUAR. The Simon-Skjodt Center for the Prevention of Genocide published its report "Eight Years On, China's Repression of the Uyghurs Remains Dire" in February 2025, and I thought it was a great resource that provides a thorough background on the matter [5]. I've also seen a few recommendations for the spiced blossom tea, but I didn't want an entire pot just for myself. Sadly, the Rowland Heights location doesn't have the Small Plate Chicken option that the other two locations offer, and I thought the Big Plate Chicken would be too much food. You can't go wrong with a rice dish, so I ended up ordering the: * Uyghur Polo ($19.95) The dish was absolutely delicious, probably the best thing I've eaten so far this year. The savory leg of lamb was fall-off-the-bone tender and paired perfectly with the sweetness from the soft carrots and onions. Not gamey at all. There was a sheen of oil on every rice kernel. The rice was perfectly spiced with cumin seeds speckled throughout. I wasn't super hungry when I walked in since I had a late lunch, but after one bite, I was addicted. A small side of chili crisp is provided for a little heat. After looking at the description online and older reviews, it seems the polo recipe has been modified. For example, in the past, lamb chunks were used instead of a leg, and chickpeas and raisins used to be included. 【Service】 Service was good. The employee was friendly and attentive, albeit a bit quiet. The Uyghur Polo lamb was super tender and the flavor was good, not gamey at all. Parking in the mini mall did get pretty crowded on the Saturday night we were there.
