The service was outstanding, the food delicious, large portions and the atmosphere charming with a huge aquarium filled with sharks and various saltwater fish. Everyone enjoyed their entrees and appetizers. I would go back again because they have a pretty good menu. My father in law was given a chocolate sundae because it was his birthday celebration. If you go, bring your appetite because they feed you here! We took home leftovers. It was enough for several meals.

Stopped here with our granddaughter after spending four or five hours walking the zoo. Although when I got there the aroma coming out of that restaurant was wonderful I really didn't expect a lot, being part of wildlife world zoo. Boy was I mistaken! Barbecue with some of the better that I have had, service was spot on and prices were not so high as I had expected being at that location. I would actually stop here again even if we had not gone to the zoo!

We really enjoyed our time at Dillion's during our zoo day. It's a great spot to sit and cool off during a hot day at the zoo. Sitting in the dining room is really cool because you have the opportunity to see the aquarium. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious and we all enjoyed our food. If you are visiting the zoo, I would highly recommend stopping here for lunch!

The vibe of Dillon's is definitely the highlight. It's connected to the Wildlife World Zoo and Aquarium, and a big part of the restaurant looks into the shark tank, so you get to watch shovelhead sharks, a zebra shark, and other fish swimming while you eat. The bar side has a patio that faces the flamingo enclosure, which is also a fun and unique touch. That part alone makes the visit worthwhile. As for the food, I ordered the French dip. It was okay, but not great. The prime rib was really fatty and overly smoky. If you like smoky and fatty meats, you might enjoy it more than I did. Portion size was fair, but the au jus wasn't really au jus--it was more of a substitute sauce. Fries were good, though portions seemed inconsistent from table to table. We got a decent amount, but others around us had noticeably more or less. The service left a lot to be desired. It wasn't packed, but our table felt neglected. Our waitress was forgetful and we had to ask three times just to get to-go containers. On top of that, the food runner brought someone else's food to our table before realizing it wasn't ours. Nothing terrible happened, but the service was definitely off. Overall, the only real reason to visit is the cool atmosphere and the view of the animals. If it wasn't for that, I'm not sure I'd return just for the food or service. Worth trying once for the experience, but probably not a regular spot for me.

We had a day enjoy enjoying the zoo and aquarium together. Dillons was nearly attached to the wildlife park. We enjoyed margaritas and amazing barbecue dishes that offered plenty of options from full meat plates to adding sides and even offered salads or light bites if you have less of an appetite. Our server was new and the service was pretty slow however, once we got our food and drinks, everything was good. The ambience was nice because we got to see the aquarium inside the restaurant as well if you're looking for a good barbecue bite and afternoon fun I would recommend doing the wildlife park and stopping in at Dillons for a bite

My wife and I were going to the casino and remembered our uber driving told us about Dillon's last time we went gambling. Since it's right across the street from the casino we decided to check it out. We were seated right away by the aquarium and were greeted immediately by our waitress. She took our drink orders and gave us a minute to check out the menu. My wife settled on the roast beef over Texas toast with mashed potatoes and gravy on top. I chose the French Dip since I have to try one at every restaurant we go to. My wife liked her meal, the Coleslaw she said was ok, but the meal was good. My French Dip was good. The meat had a Smokey flavor which was probably on the menu but I missed it. I'm not a huge fan of smoked meats but it was tender and had a good flavor. The fries were crisp and had a nice flavor. Our service was excellent, and the atmosphere while a little old feeling was super cool with the aquarium. We will definitely eat here again.

When my Sister in law LOVES a restaurant I pay attention! She was spot on to suggest Dillon's. Even if you aren't heading to the Zoo or aquarium with kiddos in tow for the day it's a great dining experience! I hear the Brontosaurus are the favorite of my nephew! I wish I had splurged to share a rack with my grandson and a couple other family members! They look amazing! Staff is accommodating, kindhearted and attentive! Burgers were yummy, Fish Tacos nice and the beans... oh my MEMORABLE! Side salad isn't chintzy and OMG let's talk ONION RINGS! Simply delicious!! Not Greasy and the breading is a cross between tempura and what you would get at Sonic! Servings were ample too! Dip in the sauce provided OR order Pretzles and dip in that cheesy sauce! Worth the time coming to eat there id you are away or Driving through Phx eat here!

If you're in the area, especially if you have kids, make a point to grab a snack or a meal at Dillon's. The dining room has the giant aquarium built in and so many smaller ones throughout. The food is decent, probably how you expect. Service really was good on a busy Sunday. Prices are not ridiculously expensive but most entrees are $17+ Absolutely family friendly. It is a great family destination. The zoo is excellent but if you don't have time for the zoo you still get a great experience just in the restaurant.

The food is very mid...especially for the pricing. I get that you're at the zoo and can experience the flamingos but I think the food should match that. I got a taco salad that cost quite a bit and it literally tasted like nothing... you'd think they would season the meat so that it tastes like taco but it didn't taste like ANYTHING. The meat is VERY DRY.... Definitely not worth trying. The baby back ribs/ pulled pork and brisket were all dry and disappointing if bbq is supposedly your specialty. Also the homemade cobbler tasted like a jello bread pudding with freezer burned berries. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place or come back here... go elsewhere because this place is very disappointing for the money you're paying. Just go to the zoo instead

Tried this place for the first time and idk if I will go back or recommend it tbh. The brisket was dry, the do inform u they add corn into there Mac n cheese. Wings were cold along w my brisket n the burgers. I don't like to complain much so we just ate the food. Only thing I enjoyed were the fries .

This review is purely of the Brontosaurus Beef Rib Platter that we ordered while visiting the Wildlife World Zoo. I often avoid the Dillon's restaurant at the zoo because of the many families and it is often too busy to enjoy a relaxing meal. This time we enjoyed a weekday visit to the zoo and decided to have an early dinner at Dillon's. I was happy to see that they still offer the Brontosaurus Beef Rib Platter as a big lover of beef ribs. Since I don't eat a lot of sugar I asked for my ribs with no BBQ sauce and I was told that would be no problem because they were smoked and would be good naked without sauce. And yes they were. The ribs were very good and lived up to their Brontosaurus name. I could only eat two and ended up taking the rest home to enjoy later!

This Dillon's location is next to the Wildlife World Zoo. This makes the patio a nice place to have lunch when the weather is good. The flamingos are definitely interesting to watch. The inside has a floor to ceiling aquarium with sharks and other sea life in it. The Carolina barbecue sandwich is the best thing on the menu if you are from that part of the US. Service is fine here.

The concept is simple: order your meat by the pound, pick your sides, grab a dessert, and snag a beer, specialty soda, or fountain drink on your way to the register. The dining room is basically a redneck cafeteria, and I mean that as a compliment. Long community tables, no table service, and everything is self-serve. Honestly, I prefer it that way. I can grab as much white bread as I want, refill my own drink, never have to flag someone down for napkins, and I've had some great conversations with other patrons. The brisket is consistently good, and I always order it moist. The jalapeño cheddar sausage is another favorite, but the baked beans deserve their own mention. They're loaded with bits of shredded pork that add both texture and smoky flavor, making them one of the better barbecue sides around. Rudy's is one of those chains that doesn't feel like a chain. The focus is on the meat, and it shows. It delivers the consistency you'd expect from a larger operation while still feeling like a neighborhood barbecue joint. That's not an easy balance to strike, but Rudy's pulls it off.

We ordered the ribs, brisket, mac & cheese, elote, and jalapeño cheddar sausage, and honestly... EVERYTHING was a 100/10! Every single bite was packed with so much flavor, and you could really taste the care that went into the cooking. The ribs were incredibly juicy and tender, with that delicious smoky BBQ flavor and the perfect amount of seasoning. The brisket was another standout--so flavorful, tender, and juicy, with that beautiful smoky flavor you hope for when you're craving authentic BBQ. And the jalapeño cheddar sausage?! The combination of the savory sausage, little kick of jalapeño, and creamy cheddar was SO good! The mac & cheese was rich, creamy, and comforting--the perfect side to balance all that smoky goodness. The elote was also a favorite, loaded with flavor and the perfect little sweet-and-savory element alongside the BBQ. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Nothing was dry, bland, or lacking seasoning. You can tell they know their way around a smoker because every bite had that delicious depth of flavor I look for in great BBQ. 100/10 would absolutely order this again! If you're a BBQ lover, Eric's Family BBQ needs to be on your list. This meal seriously exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to come back and try even more!

I finally decided to try this restaurant after going back and forth with the other negative reviews that are out there but sadly, my negative experience was also similar to the others. I walked into the restaurant and immediately noticed that it was dirty and very dusty, however, some of the best food I have had in the past has been in places where some dust lives. I overlooked that part of it since the food smelled sooo good as soon as I walked in and I wasn't planning on dining in anyways. A few of the reviews talked about the rude staff, I didn't have that experience. Were they bubbly? No. Rude? Also no. The service was the only part of this experience that wasn't negative. I spent over $50 on the food which turned out to be mostly INEDIBLE. I cannot remember another time where I have had to throw out this much food. I ordered the sampler platter, fried shrimp with fries and collard greens. First to note was that the food smelled so good all the way home and I couldn't wait to dive in. I started with the shrimp. The shrimp had been cooked more than once and these were not only hard but also chalky, these shrimp were overcooked to the point of cremation. I thought maybe it was just the one shrimp that I had so I tried another one but unfortunately, they were the same and you could tell just by touching them. The french fries were also overcooked and tasted like they had been fried more than once maybe a day or two prior and then fried again, and also were very overcooked. The collard greens were cooked well but all I could taste was SALT. I love salty food and I tend to put salt on everything so the fact that I'm saying that it was inedible due to the amount of salt should tell you how over-salted this food was. The sampler platter had rib tips, wings, one sausage, and french fries. The rib tips were prepared with way too much liquid smoke, which overpowered all of the meat. Which makes me think, why would a BBQ spot be using liquid smoke unless they aren't truly smoking the meat? The rib tips were also very overcooked, hard, and dry. One of the wings was edible and did have good flavor, however, the rest of them were also extremely overcooked and dried out. The sausage had way too much spice (pepper) but not enough flavor, also had a huge issue with way too much salt. I'm not really sure how you can over salt something, but not necessarily give it enough flavor. In total, I was only able to eat half of one of the shrimp as the rest I had to spit out. And was only able to eat two of the rib tips because the rest tasted like nothing but liquid smoke and were extremely dry, overcooked and too tough to eat. I only had one bite of the collard greens to know that I could not eat them also due to the amount of salt. I was very hopeful that this would've been a good place especially so close to home. I have had amazing barbecue in the past and I've also had really delicious food from people that are from Chicago, so I feel like this was even more of a letdown than usual. Again, my biggest issue was that this food was inedible and unfortunately, I had already wasted $50 on the food. I was tempted to call the restaurant and talk to a manager or the owner however, I had seen all of the other reviews of rudeness and negativity when people brought food issues to the attention of the staff. I also have zero interest in going back had I been offered replacement food. So I will chalk this loss up to just an overall horrible experience. I hope that this was just a bad day for them but the mistakes that were made along with the other negative reviews, tell me that is likely not the case.

The Manna steak was pretty good as well, but you have to be careful not to overcook it because it can get tough quickly. My only wish is that they had thin sliced pork belly on the menu.
