The kid working the counter was great, friendly and accommodating. The sweet tea had little bugs in it I had to dump it out and get soda. The brisket was so dry, ribs were not great, pulled pork was good and polish sausage was ok. The mashed potatoes were bland, green beans taste vinegary and I didn't eat them, however the fried okra was delicious. The okra was the best thing on my plate. I've had Dickeys in PA and recall it being good. Unfortunately, that was not the case with my local Dickeys. Now I've heard certain menu items like sandwiches and wings are good, but I didn't order either of these. I went with a rack of ribs, the loaded baked potato cassarole, cabbage slaw,barbeque beans, and fried okra. The ribs, these are supposed to be pit smoked, but they tasted like they were boiled. They even came with the coagulation fat/protein that collects when cooking meat. Don't Eat This. Loaded baked potato cassarole was not loaded at all, gummy and bland, I did not taste a piece of bacon, cheese, or green onion. Don't Eat This. The fried okra were overcooked in old oil. Don't Eat This. The cabbage slaw was good in its simplicity. Fresh and crisp, but nothing that I couldn't get from the Frys deli counter by the pound. Exact same for the barbeque beans. Big mistake trying this place. Four people dined, nobody was particularly happy. Chicken breast was dried out. The pulled pork was dried out. The ribs tasted like the pork was on the verge of spoiling before cooking and they were overcooked. To add insult to injury, the amount of barbecue sauce supplied for an entire rack of ribs was the same amount supplied for 4 individual sandwiches. In addition the wrong sauce was supplied. Definitely an inadequate amount. The coleslaw topper for each sandwich is equivalent to a tablespoon. The southern style green beans cooked with bacon were bland and flavorless. It was embarrassment to provide this food to my guests for lunch. I ordered it online to go. I have a go-to barbecue place in my hometown but they're only open on Saturday. Guess I better stick to just eating barbecue on Saturdays biggest Dickey's is the next closest to my house and it was a dismal experience that I will not repeat. I didn't think animals, much less NON service animals, were allowed in restaurants. I asked if it was a service animal when we were in line and the man replied "No" he was here for a pick up and not staying. He then proceeded to sit at a table since his order wasn't ready. My wife and I were disgusted at that and as we were leaving the dog raised his leg and urinated on the corner of the both where his owner sat. The owner didn't notice as he was on his cellphone. As a Texan I was expecting a delicious experience. I did NOT receive that delicious experience. My girlfriend and I did NOT have a good experience. It was not Texas BBQ. We ordered (2) brisket/chicken sandwiches, a baked potato with chopped brisket, mac n cheese, coleslaw, fries, pecan pie, brookie, and chocolate chip cookie. The brisket was uneatable; it was chewy and tough to the point we couldn't eat it. All the dessert items were raw or tasted unbaked. The baked potato was barely cooked and uneatable. Ordered from the Dickey's Goodyear AZ location. IT WAS HORRIBLE!!!!!!While the order was delivered super fast the food was absolutely horrible. Green beans had so many stems they were inedible. Backed beans weren't cooked enough and had hard beans throughout. Western sandwich did not include onions or pickles that we asked to be added. Pulled pork sandwich was cold. We got one type of BBQ sauce when we asked for two different types. Finally the fried okra.....I ordered a large order, which we received, but it was two huge rock like clumps and about 7 single pieces. TWO MONTHS ago our daughter got married and we had this location cater the wedding. When the order was 15 mins late, we called catering who had the store contact us. The store said their driver didn't show up and they would bring the food themselves. Our 6:30 catering order arrived at 8pm. We were told they would call us the following day with a resolution. They didn't. 16 phone calls (13 of which were ignored), 6 emails (4 of which were never replied to), and over two months later, I went into the store for a face-to-face. Finally, 2 months and 10 days after the wedding, we received an email saying, 'Sorry this has taken so long, we are offering you [this] as compensation.' Folks, it's less than 10% of what we paid! Their reasoning as to why it was such a small compensation?? "IT WASN'T OUR FAULT." How is it not their fault?? We used DICKEY'S catering. We paid for fresh food to be delivered at 6:30 to 150 guests. What we got was food that had been sitting around because it was delivered an hour and a half late to about 100 guests (because the wedding started at 5:00 and by 8:00 people had already left). We held up our end of the contract when we paid our bill (which was not cheap!). But Dickey's is not holding up their end at all. I am in total shock with how Dickey's has handled this so far. And Dickey's, please don't respond by asking me to email guestexperience@dickeys.com, because we have already... TWICE! With no replies. read more

We explained that is what we did. Now, she is escalating it to her manager. So, I figured I would try "TalktoDickeys.com" as suggested on the door. I entered everything but it wouldn't let me submit the review saying I need to enter the address of the restaurant. I tried multiple variations of the address and each time the field went blank and wouldn't allow me to submit it. As one employee told us, "Corporate really doesn't want to hear about issues." Ordered a 2 meat plate and the ribs were so dry and overcooked, one rib was just the bone the others tasted like chewing tree bark. The bbq sauce was 3/4 empty the 2 Texas toast I paid for never came and nobody picked up the phone when I attempted to call. Very disappointed as was my wife. Dickeys sent me various emails, demanding personal information with no real explanation why. After giving them the info I never heard back as they said. But she did send a group text to the employees to give me a $15 refund. Dickey's was just... lackluster. My uncle ordered a large delivery for our family, including chicken, brisket, ribs, bread, green beans, baked beans, salad, etc. None of it was impressive by any standard. Our delivery was actually missing half the meat and all of the sides of BBQ sauce, so we had to wait an additional hour for that to come, too. Always Good I have visited Dickey's a few times and I've never been disappointed. The food is always good, service is always great, and the restaurant is always clean. On this visit we shared a nice variety of smoked chicken, ribs, brisket, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, cold slaw, and hot rolls. I think the potato salad is my favorite, I could eatvitvsll day. This review might be a little biased because bbq food is my absolute favorite food of all time. I've ran into bad bbq restaurants but this place isn't one of them. This is one of my go to places and they never let me down. Dickeys BBQ Pit always has a clean venue and is spacious so you do not have to sit close to anyone. I love that they have complimentary desert and the crew is always so nice. The manager Cathy is such a delight and takes such pride in her work and makes me feel so welcome so I always return. Ordered a meal off Uber Eats for pickup. Was told through the app I could pick it up before 8:45, the store closes at 9. Arrived at 8:40 to locked doors, lights off and 2 employees in the back who watched me knock, wave and call for 10 min. It wasn't until another person showed up they finally answered one of my calls. I was told "there was an incident and upper managed made the decision to close the store early." I understand things come up and they aren't always preventable, but to have TWO EMPLOYEES completely ignore guests (who can see them through the window storefront) is extremely upsetting. Thankfully I was able to cancel my order and get a full refund but unlikely we'll be coming back to this place per the customer service, or complete lack thereof. read more

I had a taste for BBQ. I went to the restaurant about 4:30 on a Sunday, July, 28. I arrive I open the door that makes a loud noise. I would assume you would hear it. There was not one customer in the restaurant at that time. I looked at the menu for several minutes and no one employee came to the counter. I noticed on person standing near the back of the kitchen area on a cell phone. The person wouldn't acknowledge that I was there. I said excuse me are you open not a movement. I waited about another minute and walked out never to return. Looking at a cell phone will keep your business open. I am not a fan of cell phones while should be working. read more

When we sat down the eat, it was the worst bbq I've ever had. The pulled pork was dried out and so charred you couldn't even chew it. Same with the ribs and brisket. The only thing that was decent was the sausage. The ribs barely had any edible meat on them. Either all char or just fat. By far the worst experience I've ever had with Dickey's. read more
