This was super delicious! We stopped here on our way to Shipwrecks Beach after our helicopter tour. I ordered the poke bowl and my husband had the fish and chips. Both were awesome! The food was also reasonably priced for the quantity and quality for sure. Nestled between 3 other food trucks in Koloa. The name is slightly misleading because I was expecting more dim sum instead of den sum options, but that was not the case. The few dim sum type items they had were shu Mai and bbq pork buns. They had poke, some fried seafood options, assortment of platters, and a sandwich or two. We decided on the coconut shrimp with fries, fried musubi, and the shu mai. All were good. The coconut shrimp was perfectly fried and drizzled with a coconut sweet chili glaze which was a nice touch. The fried musubi was worth a tried - my husband enjoyed it. The shu mai was incredibly juicy and I enjoyed the paper thin skin, bites of ginger within, and the horseradish cream drizzle - another nice touch. Im sorry in advance guys. I know a 4 star is a hit and I get it. I only tried two items and they just didn't really blow me away and that is possibly on me. I LOVE Spam Musubi and this seemed like the perfect fit. Deep fried slaty goodness.....But I can now say that Spam Musubi is not better deep fried. The taste is just deep fried nori and it was kinda dry. Sad face :( Seriously, I really wanted to love it. It's not for everyone. I also had the pork boa and those were kinda strange and maybe that was because of the pickle sauce. I just didn't like the flavor it was something you might find on a hot dog. Probably the best rice I have had since a couple weeks ago! My go to rice place here on Oahu is "my cafe"! dim N den sum is a very strong contender it was DELICIOUS! This food truck makes your order fresh! There was no denying that, I had a bit of a wait, it was worth . I really like that they had sirachi along with other condiments that were at your disposal! The food truck is nestled with a few others but really holds its own. The rice plate was about ten dollars I think that is the fair pricing in Hawaii, so I have accepted that the same plate will probably be about 3 dollars less on the main land, that's okay and I have accepted that. Especially since me and my family will be here for 3-7 years! I really really like the consistency of the rice, and the ingredients I would have liked to see the onion replaced with tons of green onions, but other than that it was super good! read more

Clustered with a few other food trucks off the main strip (such as it is) in Koloa. You can sit at the picnic tables shared by all the trucks but be prepared to clean up after the group before you. We had the chicken katsu plate which was delicious. The chicken came out piping hot and was tender and juicy. Would definitely come back just for this. Be aware of the friendly, hungry chickens too because they are abundant! We tried poke bowls which I am a little skeptical about when trying new places that serve one of Hawaii's greatest staples. The presentation was amazing and it had a lot of weight to it. The taste was sweet and the veggies looked great, but if you're someone who likes just a classic poke and rice, this may be a little much for you. It is a little sweeter and contains a lot more than just the poke and seasoning for the poke. There is a good amount of other veggies in it that taste fresh and great but I found it to be more like a poke salad with rice opposed to a poke bowl. This food truck has been on my bucket list for a considerable amount of time, and I was able to check it off my list yesterday when my friend called me up in the middle of the afternoon and asked if I had lunch yet. Five minutes down the road from my humble abode, located in the heart of Old Koloa town, there is an area across the street from Sueoka Store where a few food trucks reside. Dim N Den Sum is run by sushi chef extraordinaire, Yoshi Yonemura. While the name of their business highlights dim sum, which is not something you can find really anywhere on Kauai, they have a variety of options to choose from. As someone who loves Cajun food, who would have thought that the best jambalaya I've ever had outside NOLA would have come from an Asian food truck in Kauai - but ordered it on a whim & it was spectacular. This is definitely one of my favorite food trucks on the island!!! Service is always friendly, owned by a local family. I got the coconut shrimp and fries, shrimp was perfectly cooked and crispy. My sister got the crab sandwich which was also really good ( if your thinking of ordering this, order a extra side of tartar sauce). We also had the fried spam musubi ( it was amazing ) which is offered only sometimes bc it's a special item. Also the mini manapuas are so fluffy/soft but packed with so much flavor from the meat! Stopped by for lunch today. Got the local pack for $15. Food came out quickly after just a few minutes. It was a good assortment of different things, which was great as I'm usually indecisive -- fried rice (a bit salty), soba noodles (cold and not as heavy which was great), 3 pcs of shrimp tempura, mac salad, piece of fried spam, and seaweed/cabbage. I came here for the cold noodles but did not find them on the menu. As I was being indecisive and asking the owner for help, she suggested the sushi rolls and crab sandwich (the vendor accidentally sent bigger ones than usual). I tried the crab sandwich and it was really good. The crab was perfectly fried and crunchy and it was really big! It was a satisfying meal for sure. We had the Dim Sum plate and were pleasantly surprised at how fresh and hot the dish was. Everything was very tasty. The food was prepared in just a few minutes and we were treated with the Aloha spirit from the lady (LYNELL) working in the truck. She and her husband own and run the food truck. I ordered shumai sticks and fried manapua for a not exactly healthy lunch at Dim N Den Sum parked right beside the stretch of Koloa town shops. Each item was 4-5 dollars, making it an economical snack by Kauai standards. The manapua were not too doughy, and the dough wasn't overly sweet. Piping hot little pork pockets. Good seasoning and not too salty, either. I wanted a bit more flavor in the shumai but they were stuffed to bursting, also darn hot, and even the wrapper was not falling apart on the stick so it's hard to be picky.
