Been wanting to check this place out and when I finally did, it did not disappoint! We came on a weekday, around lunch time and it wasn't busy, so we were seated right away. The staff was friendly and the food took a while to come out but that means they are made to order. We ordered the following: 1. Hong Kong style wonton soup: This is a 3/5 for me because the flavors were bland (the broth). It has lots of veggies, which surprised me and the most surprising was the wontons: They were the best I have had! I wish the broth would have more depth cuz that would make this soup outstanding. 2. beef chow fun: 5/5. Very flavorful and the amount is nice for the price. 4. dim sum items: quality food (better than some other places I have had) and they were tasty. a. chicken feet: 5/5 b. shrimp hargow: 5/5 c. beef tendon: 5/5. This has the star anise flavors, so FYI if you do not care for it. For me, it was very tasty! d. desserts: coconut buns and sweet rice cakes. 5/5 The place is clean and surprisingly, the bathroom and the hallway leading into the bathrooms did NOT have inventory or boxes or chairs by them. It was clear and the women's bathroom was clean, not smelly or gross looking like some other Asian restaurants. The dining area is very spacious, it has tables and booths, and big round tables for large parties. I definitely would come back here again and support this business.

Welcomed in by friendly staff. Not busy when we arrived;only a few customers eating so it was relaxed and quiet. We ordered from their Dim Sum menu. They were having a special on 1/2 an order Peking Duck, steamed Chinese broccoli, Sweet buns, Egg custard tarts, 2 orders of steamed chicken feet, shrimp dumplings; then we ordered Chow Fun Noodles and Shrimp fried rice from the regular menu. Everything looked and tasted perfect. We really appreciate this Dim Sum Cafe which is conveniently located near Summerlin and Spring Valley area on Hualapai and Twain. It saves us a drive to Chinatown Las Vegas which is also worth the drive. Thank you!

Had lunch here yesterday it was pretty dead in the restaurant. This place is a little hidden gem. The food is excellent, service was fast. The restaurant is clean and they were cool with Mae Mae. I will definitely be back. See my pictures

Food is delicious here! I came here with my family consisting of three kids on a Saturday late afternoon. We got noodles, rice, dumplings...a lot of food. The Thai tea here is also really good and a nice size too! The only thing that was wrong was that we ordered Apple juice for the kids, and our server brought back orange juice. However, the orange juice is not like the kind that is commonly given in restaurants. It was more like a mandarin juice, so the flavor was different, and also a bit watery and tart. Despite that, we do still like the good here and will return in the future for some dim sum.

Dim Sum Cafe is a family favorite! If you're craving authentic Chinese noodles, roasted duck, shrimp shumai, soup dumplings, and red bean balls covered in toasted sesame seeds - this is the place for you. My family and I come down to Dim Sum Cafe every couple of months. There's something for almost everyone will like. Whether you want ribs or chicken porridge. The options feel endless. The staff is always prompt with seating us and there's plenty of spacious seating like booths, large round tables and more. I would have more photos because I come here so often but our family loves the food so much that we chow down right away.

We usually go to our go to dim sum spots Hong Kong garden and Orchid garden. This time we are trying dim sum cafe. The ambiance here reminds me of a traditional old school but in a modern area. This family style dim sum spot has rotating tables for large parties that cater well to big family style dining which I really like especially if you're big on family dining. Today the food we ordered of course chicken feet had flavor and was meaty. We also ordered short ribs with squash delicious as well. We ordered the crispy shrimp so crunchy and fresh hot and ready. We also ordered the Hong Kong style noodle combination my favorite with crispy style noodles with Chinese gravy with a combination of vegetables and meat so delicious a must with their house hot chili oil so good. We were also fortunate to score their succulent roasted duck came with duck sauce as well soft meat and crispy skin will definitely order again. The service was great very attentive and the fast with everything made a smooth lunch. They were also nice looking to go back and try again. If you're looking for a trendy low key dim sum spot this is it thanks!

After passing by Dim Sum Cafe for years (so close to home) we decided to Stop in Nestled conveniently close to home, Dim Sum Cafe has been a sight we've passed by countless times. Recently, curiosity finally got the better of us, enticing us to step inside. Walking in, the cafe exudes a charming, albeit slightly aged atmosphere, with booth seats showing signs of wear. However, the culinary delights quickly overshadow any minor decor imperfections. Our flavorful journey began with the Pork Shumai, perfectly portioned wontons loaded with succulent ground pork. Each bite was a delicious burst of flavor. Braving the unknown, we ventured into the Steamed Chicken Feet - a novel experience for us. Lightly coated in sauce, despite the expected boniness, they were surprisingly tasty. We then indulged in the Deep-Fried Meat Ball, a delectable treat, followed by the Steamed Pork Dumplings, which were a true delight--juicy on the inside and perfectly cooked. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the Spicy Chicken Wings. With a crispy exterior and an explosion of flavors, they quickly became a favorite! The menu, abundant with tempting options, promises many more returns. Besides the excellent food, the prices were reasonable, and the staff's friendliness added to the overall pleasurable dining experience. We are keen to revisit and explore the rest of what Dim Sum Cafe has to offer. Bill was under $60 with 3 beers added to all of our items - Great Deal Excellent Food Cheers

My partner took me here because he said he enjoyed it last time he went here (3 yrs ago). I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, it was a big letdown. I ordered the hot and spicy wontons expecting bold flavors, but the dish was completely bland. The chili oil--which should've been the star--had zero heat and barely any flavor at all. It tasted more like plain oil than anything spicy. For a dish that's supposed to pack a punch, this was incredibly disappointing. Definitely not what I hoped for, and I won't be coming back. The rest of the food was OKAY.

Food- all very good dim sum. We tried several, most we liked, 1-2 we didn't. Liked: chicken potstickers, all veggie egg/ spring rolls, curry cream cheese fried wontons ( all cream cheese, no meat yay!), excellent warm egg custard ( so good we order another to go), chicken shu mai ( new to us- flavor was yummy but it is a very dense all chicken ball basically), crispy Beef with Golden Garlic item #29 ( very tender beef, no seeds Yay!). Sweet and sour soup was okay. Disliked- all beef meatballs. I struggled with the gelatinous texture and flavor, my hubby struggled with just the texture. We left it on the table after 1 bite. But this was just us and our preferences. Service- very very quick. Almost too quick as the 2nd waitress helping kept bringing out stuff to us we either didn't order or already received. But we were honest and redirected her. We spent about $100 lunch but we ordered enough for leftovers on purpose. Overall we enjoyed it and would return.

I was craving some dim sum and wanted to go somewhere new away from all the traffic. My husband and I came here on a Monday afternoon and it wasn't busy. The staff welcomed us right away and came by to take our order. The venue is quite big and spacious. The menu is on point. It shows pictures of all the dim sum and a few of their other dishes as well, which makes it easier and appetizing to order. We ordered the Spicy won ton, egg custard, Baked Sweet Cream Bun, shrimp and pork shu Mai, fried taro crispy beef fried noodles . Sweet cream bun 4/5- it was warm, the bread was chewy, however, I do wish there was more of the cream custard filling. Egg custard 5/5- super flaky, perfect density of the custard, and the very creamy egg custard filling. Beef crispy noodle- 4/5 loved the veggies, the beef was tender, the noodles were crispy and soft. The only downfall was that the sauce was very salty. Fried taro- 5/5 super flaky, crispy! I loved how the taro and meat was filled in the pastry. It wasn't oily either. I really enjoyed it! Shrimp shu mai- 5/5 filled with shrimp and good ratio of the wrapper and filling. Spicy won tons- 2/5 it didn't look like the photo. The ratio of the pork and wrapper was off. There was too much wrapper. The flavoring of the pork wasn't seasoned enough. Pork shumai-2/5 the pork tasted too porky for me. The density of it was over cooked as well. Overall, if you're craving dim sum and you are in the area, stop by to get your dim sum fix!

I've been eating here for a while now, and since this place is close to home, it's always been a go to. Overall opinion, not bad. You're welcome with a friendly smile and the typical asian mom figure trying to upsell the flounder; not in an offensive way, but the kind of charismatic way that actually makes you want it. The food has been a hit with me. Favorites are chicken feet (warm, sweet, soft, chewy), tripe (aromatic, gingery, soft), the shrimp ball (crunchy outside, soft inside), and the snowpeas (lightly aromatic, and palate cleansing). Very nice. This is my go to in Vegas atm. Come with friends, enjoy the tea, enjoy the conversation, leave with a smile and an full stomach. Will eat again!! read more

I had high hopes coming here thinking it was going to be great due to all the positive reviews but was very disappointed. The 3stars are for the service, cleanliness and precautions they took but the food is what disappointed me. Even though it was freshly made to order, the dimsum was flavorless and small portions compared to one I frequented in chinatown and another popular on on lindell. I even had to get pizza after just to get the taste out of my mouth because it was just not good. I hate not giving 5star reviews but I just couldn't give it with how disappointed I was in the taste of their dimsum. I tried it once but am definitely sticking to my usual place that is full of flavor. read more

Been coming here often since I discovered it was nearby in 2020. But You lost a good paying customer today. I walked in at 7 pm. There was a sign saying no dine-in after 6:45 pm due to being short-staffed, fine. We went outside called in to order to go instead. While sitting in our car, a couple walked in at 7:15 pm and they were sat to dine-in. Yeah! I blew up! Wouldn't you??? read more

We finally decided to try this place, right around the corner from where we live this is the first time we've been there. It was delicious, what can I say? Really good food! It's Wednesday night, I'd say Wednesday is a great night to go: our server was polite, sweet, lovely, wonderful, attentive everything you want in a server. I asked her when she works and she said she only works Wednesday nights! I'll post some pictures, the inside of the place is clean, pleasant. I like the blue colors. kids love the fish tanks, I wouldn't call it a "wow", but I would call it a nice clean place for family to eat. By the way, no alcohol service at all. So if you like wine or beer with your Chinese food, my suggestion is order for takeout. Especially liked the deep fried crab balls, and the salt-and-pepper shrimp! read more

I've been wanting to try this restaurant out for a while so today was the day. Dim Sum Cafe is located in a fairly large strip mall with plenty of parking. We got there during the lunch hour and they were busy but not slammed. Restaurant decor is tasteful and the dining room is surprisingly large. We ordered sesame balls (lotus paste), steamed spareribs with black beans, steamed beef balls, char siu, tomato with scrambled eggs and mu shu pork. Everything was as expected and the entre portions were huge. Service was efficient. I have come to prefer ala carte dim sum service vs. cart service as I know what I want to order and don't have to deal with what is often spotty cart service. We'll be back to work our way through some other dim sum items and entre selections. The dim sum menu is quite extensive and covers all the standards. Nice variety of steamed, fried, baked and sweet items. Good selection of non dim sum choices too. Recommended read more

this place is a bit out of the way, all the way by summerlin, food was decent, not overly salty or oily. most of the dishes were pretty good. It wasn't the best i've ever had, but everything was reasonably priced. Service was really good, waitstaff were attentive and they have really good puer tea. Unfortunately, some of the food wasn't piping hot, understandably, we came in the afternoon. The beef meatballs seem to be lacking a balance with orange peels; overall was still yummy. The beef rice crepe was a bit thicker than what i was use to, and it wasn't piping hot. The custard buns did not meet up to expectations, although the steam buns were amazing and fluffy, the bun to custard ratio wasn't there; i was a bit disappointed. Nevertheless, i did enjoy the place and would come back, the place needed a bit more upkeep, they didn't water the flowers, so it felt a bit dreary. I really am not complaining; I love reasonably priced edible dimsum more than anyone else. I would return to visit again. read more

We were there around 2.15pm had to wait for 15 minutes as they would take reservation. Dim Sum was warm and it was good. The chicken feet was excellent, succulent and tender. Overall we were happy with the quality. read more

I've been coming here for years, finally found a good place for Egg Foo Young. All other dishes were good as well. The waitress when she finally showed up advised no more Egg Foo Young. We had a party of 5 & informed her we need our bills split (3) separate bills. She was not happy, but I told her that is what we want. We had several items between us. Every item came 1 at a time. One dinner came out aprox 40 minutes after ordering. The table next to ours came in quite a bit later. They all were eating before anything showed up for us. Did I mention, they were all Asians? Me & my wife ordered a dinner, nothing else. My bill came with several items. I went up to pay, told them to take off all the items that were not mine. We left leaving no tip. Awful customer service. The biggest tip I can give, don't go there read more

My favorite part about this restaurant was the customer service. All of the older Asian women who served me were so sweet. They were pleasantly funny, sassy, helpful, and attentive. Not something I'm used to at a busy Chinese restaurant. We came on a Monday morning and had to order dimsum a la carte, which is fine. I thought their dimsum pastries were absolutely delicious. But the meat dishes (i.e. har gow, xiu mai) were rather disappointing. Their prices were higher compared to what I'm used to in Chinatown. Clean place. Quick service. Lovable servers. Delicious pastries. Ok prices. Disappointing dim sum. I'd still come back though cause there's many other things on their menu to try aside from dim sum. read more

We were happy to find this place, a bit of. Drive from our home, but the food was good, and staff very friendly. We moved from California, land of super delicious and reasonably priced food... And we get discouraged when we go to yet another place that is over priced for "just okay" food. But this place was delicious and not over the top with cost. Good job guys! read more

I used to like this place as our go-to place for Dim Sum in las Vegas. However, the last 2 times we've been here, the service has gone down the hill. The servers are running around looking like chickens with their heads cut off... looking stressed, and totally ignoring customers who are trying to get their attention. The food also has not been as flavorful as before. read more

Truly enjoyed the food here. I had the dim sum (bbq rice rolls, radish cakes, a few different dumplings, Chinese broccoli, etc. ) and it was delicious. We also ordered some Mongolian beef and it was so soft and flavorful. The service was great as our services were super attentive and Gad the food out to us pretty fast. I definitely will be coming back! read more

The updated review is specifically for takeout. We did order takeout from this restaurant. Curbside was not available. We went in to pick up our food. I ordered two of the family dinners. One had sesame chicken along with the fried rice and chow mein and lemon drop soup. The other dinner had orange chicken with the same sides as the sesame chicken. We also ordered some items from the dim sum menu like the Mushu pork, pork buns, and stuffed peppers. The dim sum items were good but they were not great. I would highly recommend eating them at the restaurant. Having them package to take to our house just did not have the same affect and the taste was not as good. Not sure why but it was not that good. The family dinners were a complete disappointment. The sesame chicken wasn't bad but it wasn't great. The orange chicken was awful. The fried rice was awful and we pretty much threw almost all of it away. The chow mein was way too oily. The soup was just OK but nothing to write home about. We would never order the family dinners again. Overall, our order was $100 for really mediocre food. This is why I'm giving it to stars. Very expensive and we threw a lot of food items away. Would never order from here again. read more

The entree potions are big and we order multiple items to share amongst 4 adults and a kiddo - we still had plenty to take home for left overs. We look forward for returning when we want good Dum Sum and Chinese food. read more

2/14/2021 Sunday morning at 11:50 I'm writing this. Searched for a good dim sum place in Vegas and found this place. We got here right at 11am their opening time and waited about 10mins to be seated due to COVID. Let's start off with front counter lady who is so loud and rude to customers we almost just left. Only see maybe 2 servers in entire restaurant and service is sooooo slow I can literally see almost everybody is frustrated. Seen two groups that sat before us and just left while we are still waiting on our food that has been place over 40mins and counting... that same front counter lady is now yelling orders to kitchen by server station it's beyond annoying. I can see so many customers by front door been waiting so long they look all mad. This place is by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced period. Don't come here and waste your money. read more

We always like the food at Dimsum Cafe. And we always order take out. Pick up time is always on time. Today was just bad. I preordered the food last night and received confirmation that it will be ready at 11:15 am. Got there at 11am. We were told they were busy so we came back at 11:20. Still not ready. Claiming they were busy. Ok, it's Chinese New Year, but they should have been prepared for the influx of orders. read more

Service was fast and food was great. Our usual place closed down years ago and we have yet to find a replacement that was on the west side. We ordered a mix of dimsum and a la carte. Everything came out quickly and they made sure to keep our drinks full. The Mongolian beef was delicious as were the sweet custard buns. read more

I had not been to Dim Sum Cafe until recently. I went during lunchtime on a weekday and was able to order from their lunch menu. They have a special for 7 dollars with classic Chinese dishes (sesame chicken, orange chicken, etc). They serve it with egg drop soup,a spring roll, and fried rice. The food was okay, but nothing to write home about. I had the lemon chicken, which I found to be a little mushy. The fried outside was not crispy like I would have liked. The fried rice was okay, but did not have a lot of seasoning. The atmosphere was okay with large fish tanks around the room and booths. I appreciated the measures they took to keep things clean during the corona virus. Servers wore masks and paper plates were used. Overall, the food was okay, but it is not a place I would necessarily eat again. read more

I have taken friends, clients, and colleagues, and the response has been uniformly positive. The menu has changed over time, but the dim sum classics are all there, often with a nouveau twist. What really got me was coming for dinner with a large group, where we could really savor the seafood, noodle, and meat dishes. I'm not going to run down the list because everything I've tried has been excellent, and I've tried most of the menu. We always enjoy decapitating the crispy mochi ducklings, filled of course with minced pork. The wagyu steak and wagyu fried rice, the xiao long bao with vinegar caviar, and salt and pepper tofu are all winners. The interiors are beautiful and give a different feel wherever you sit. Bring a friend or bring a large group and go to town.

Oh, and kid 1 was not a fan of the ducklings, she realized that she's not a fan of 5-spice which these had an overpowering flavor of. Overall, great experience but for the price we paid vs what we got was not worth it. The lychee martini! That was sensational, if you're 21 and enjoy a sweeter cocktail, this one is for you! Service was top notch, the ladies and gentlemen know what they are doing there.

It felt like a blast from the past since a lot of dim sum places now are strictly checking items off a menu or mostly menu with a handful of carts. For a place called New Asian BBQ, we saw very few people ordering BBQ. The food: Zha liang - rice noodle roll wrapped around a you tiao (fried cruller). Probably the least healthy thing on the menu, but arguably the tastiest with different textures and a ton of flavor from the 3 dipping sauces (soy based, sesame based, oyster sauce based) Shrimp and Chive steamed dumpling - I'm always a sucker for this steamed version or the pan fried version. One of the few glimpses of vegetables you'll see at dim sum. Chang Fen (rice noodle roll) - we ordered a shrimp and a beef - both easily meeting our standards Dou Hua (tofu pudding) - served hot with ginger simple syrup. It's even softer than silken tofu. The dish is a bit polarizing, but I like a good Dou Hua. Taro Puffs - always a favorite of ours, they have a pretty good one here Steamed beef ribs - this was an interesting one we've never had at a dim sum restaurant. They're short ribs with a soy, sugar marinade. Pineapple Bun with Salted Egg Yolk - I don't even know what this was called on the menu, but it was the filling of a Liu Sha Bao inside a Pineapple Bun. All these met expectations - Bean Curd (tofu skin) Pork Roll, Ginger Tripe, Shrimp Dumplings, Beef Balls For Dim Sum, I typically expect at least $30 per person. We ate a ton and came in a smidge under that after tax and tip. Everything was good to great and we were very happy that we decided to eat here for brunch. Great place for dim sum in terms of food quality and if you want to order from carts!

I went here with a party of 3 just a couple minutes after opening. We were seated right away and our first server was just fine. I'm not sure how they work their tables but after we ordered our first round another lady came to take our order. She took our orders and then took our menus. We asked to keep one and she said no because they needed them. She asked if there was anything else we wanted to order because we wouldn't be able to order anymore due to them being busy. I was very confused and confirmed that she said we couldn't order any more. She repeated that they were busy and the wait for food would be 40 minutes so we couldn't order anymore. After finishing the food that was brought to us on our second round, we waited for at least 20 minutes for an order that never came. Eventually we had to ask another server for the check. Once we got our check, we were charged for the order that never came so we had to go to the front to get it taken off. The same lady who told us we couldn't order anymore was at the register and completely ignored us. She rung up two other checks and walked away. We had to ask a random server walking by to pay (which we were also ignored). The lady came back, fixed the check, and took our payment. The food was pretty good. I was so excited to find a new dim sum place, but I don't think I can go back to a restaurant that treated my party so badly. The dim sum was not as bad as some say and I'm not a racist so I don't mind the non Asian serving staff plus they're quite friendly and they actually speak intelligible English. The selection of dim sum is about the same as most dim sum places although they don't have har gow but they have four didn't types of shumai which is great since my friend was allergic to shrimp. I personally really liked the beef shumai. They did not have turnip cake but I'm not one that needs it during dim sum. Their steamed bbq pork buns were another welcome surprise with them being very soft and the baked were even softer although they stuck to the paper placed underneath it a little too much. I had a beef curry pie/puff and the curry inside oozed out and tasted magical. And the selection of sweets is enormous compared to most places with four types of rice cake ranging from the traditional white to strawberry to chocolate to mango. I also tried their coconut custard which had more coconut than custard but I won't blame them for that. With cold desserts there was blueberry pudding, taro pudding, and the usual coconut. I had the taro and you could taste that there is actual taro in it. All in all I thought it's a nice little place that is closer and I'll definitely be back for more of their sweets. read more

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dim Sum Cafe and I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. Not only do they offer a variety of delicious dim sum options, but they also have an excellent selection of vegan options. In particular, I highly recommend trying their vegan pan fried vegetable dumplings - they are out of this world! The texture and flavor of the dumplings were absolutely perfect, and when paired with some sweet soy sauce and chili oil, it's a match made in heaven. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food and the service at Dim Sum Cafe. It's clear that the staff is passionate about creating delicious food, and it shows in every dish that they serve. Wow. So just finished dinner here with my family. They've been many times and had great things to say about it so I was excited to try. First impression was good, restaurant was clean and quite. The service was ok, I had to physically go and get a tub for our dirty dishes because no one came around to bus the table. The food for the most part was ok. Some of the dishes were extremely salty. Now when my dad went to go pay he was shocked to find that the server added a 18% gratuity for 5 people!!!! I've never heard of that before. When I went back in to ask they said, "the computer adds it automatically" I'm in the service industry you have to manually add gratuity!! I'm sorry but we won't be back! And the server lucked out because we would've tipped more. Unfortunate, we won't be back! And we are gonna be letting everyone know about this shady establishment!!! read more

This was our first visit, and compared to Tim Ho Wan in Hong Kong, this place holds up pretty well. The orders arrived lightning-fast, piping hot, and oh-so-fresh. We dove into a total of 13 dishes, each one holding its own charm. The Chinese broccoli stole the show with its incredible flavor, followed closely by the Chicken Siomai and the melt-in-your-mouth chicken feet. The lo mein was a standout, boasting perfectly cooked noodles that hit the spot. And let's not forget the beef bun - baked to absolute perfection, it was a taste sensation. Overall, the food here is top-notch. I'd easily give them five stars if it weren't for the minor inconvenience of having to request saucers, napkins, and water. Nevertheless, I wholeheartedly recommend this spot for anyone craving Dim Sum; consistency truly is key here. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant is a repeat weekly for my busy work schedule and family. The ingredients are fresh- I love fresh waterchestnuts- the dishes are consisent. The name threw me off didn't realize they're open for full dinner menu at first. I read a review about the dim sum is frozen. that must have been a vindictive competitor because these owners also own The huge restaurant Orchid Garden on Sahara & Lindell. If they were going to get dim sum from anywhere else other than their own kitchen it would be a lot cheaper just to get from their other location Food excellent. no MSG and the place is immaculate HIGHLY RECOMMEND. read more

The har gow and siu mai were delicate yet flavorful, the turnip cake had a perfect crisp edge, and the egg tarts were warm and flaky with just the right amount of sweetness. I hate that this place got a bad rap when it first opened and can't get above 3 1/2 stars now. It's one of my favorite spots in town for dim sum and noodle soups. The dim sum is made fresh instead of sitting on a cart all day. Price can't be beat and service is excellent - it's a great family-owned local business to support. Try the steamed pork dumplings, shrimp hargow, baked cream buns, steamed pork buns and beef udon. Oh ya - and they DELIVER dim sum during all hours of operation. read more

Its a small place with some oriental decoration. Very simple. The food is served a dish at a time so that it is fresh and hot! The service is simple and great. Very friendly.
