I can only speak to the takeout quality but ordered directly from the store and it was quick and decently priced. The general tsos could've been more flavorful but I'm picky in this regard. The cha shu buns were also a lil skimpy on the filling so they ate a bit dry. But overall quality of all the dim sum items was lovely. My husband and I had dinner here on a weekend, and it was such a cozy spot! We made a reservation beforehand, so we didn't have to wait long for a table. We were led to a lovely table, and we both absolutely loved the atmosphere. The staff were so friendly. We tried the shrimp fried rice, wonton noodle soup, and kongpao chicken dishes. The kongpao chicken came with a cup of rice, which was a nice touch. Everything was delicious, and we're definitely planning to return. Probably did not get off to a good start being asked to wait as the host was working on something with his back to me. I then asked for a larger table to spread out, but was denied even though the entire place was empty. I was told that a larger table was meant to seat 2 to 4 people, and since it was only me, I had to sit at one of the three smallest tables. I will admit that he as well as the only other server were pretty friendly. The food took quite a long time to be prepared and I waited close to 20 minutes. I wouldn't have been concerned, except I was the only table!?! The food, tasted like it was prepared earlier and frozen, but thawed through the steaming process so not sure why it took so long. The texture was very chewy and not very fresh tasting. While there were plenty of shrimp dumplings to an order, much more so than the standard four that most dim sum places offer, I will say that there was definitely a difference in taste and not as good as I recall, but I did appreciate the generous amount. The beef dumplings had way too much dough, which was very chewy and not very flavorful with the small portion of beef. The shrimp Cheung fun was the highlight, but may have been drenched in too much sauce as pictured. The shrimp was very small and did not taste fresh. It did take quite a while to get a refill for my water which again was surprising since there was no one else in the restaurant and two servers. I originally had ordered an additional dumpling, but apparently they ran out. Since it was only 4 o'clock in the afternoon, I'm not sure how they could've run out? But aren't they all supposed to be handmade anyway? I really wanted to like this place, but it was just difficult. We wanted to celebrate my daughter's b-day and we decided on dimsum. We tried other places and Dim Sum King was relatively new in our radar so we wanted to try. From the moment we stepped in it was just unwelcoming. Most of the servers are young, and they all looked like their souls were sucked out. One Asian server saw us come in and just waved us to a table very nonchalantly. We had three different servers tending our table. I guess they knew what we ordered since they all had tablets attached to their waist, but it was very disorganized. Pot of tea we ordered did not come out until the end (and that is because we asked about it), then we were asked 3-4 times by different servers if we are ready for the check (no, the place was not packed, there were plenty of tables). We ordered: scallion pancake sichuan style fried pork pork soup dumpling combo pork with sour cabbage dumpling pan fried pork bun wood ear mushroom salad cumin flavor grilled lamb shank green orange peel tea The food was good, but we all agreed we did not feel full even after we had few entrees. Went back again and tried some more stuff. The spicy wontons hit again. This time also got the fish in hot oil, Sichuan pork shoulder, and the cumin lamb ribs. The pork shoulder was tender and soft. Is a fattier cut of meat so if like a braised pork belly with skin on will like this. The cumin lamb ribs were crispy and had great seasoning. Was a surprise hit. The fish in hot oil was great. This review combines both my visits. This place is a hidden gem. The dishes were tasty and reasonably priced. It is located next to KOP mall with plenty of parking spaces. Every dish we had, we did not disappoint. In our first visit, food came out right away! In the second visit, food arrived quite slowly as there were more people but the restaurant wasn't packed. We also noticed they hired an english speaking waitress in our second visit which is a plus. The interior was clean and you can see some workers wrapping dumplings at the back. The english name of the restaurant is a bit deceiving because they don't really serve morning dim sum. Lastly, when you spend over $30 you also get some small steam buns! Overall, this is more of a chinese restaurant as it does not have a lot of dimsum items so I can't say you should come here for that. They had maybe 2-3 items that may be considered dim sum to me. When I go for dimsum, I look for fresh rice noodles rolls with sweet soy sauce, siu mai, chicken feet, tripe, and pork ribs in small steam containers. They did have soup dumplings, but i don't consider that a part of dimsum. The crab and pork soup dumplings were delicious. The regular pork soup dumpling was lacking in flavor. This was more like a Chinese restaurant rather than a dim sum place (which is what I would think they had a large selection of by the name of the business - which was not the case). I would say it was just okay for me. I may come back and give their noodle soups a try, but I'm definitely not going there for 'dimsum' as I don't consider this a dimsum place contrary to the name. read more

Decor and clean bathroom 5/5. When you call your establishment dimsum "king" though, there's a certain level of expectation you must live up to. And this place did not at all come anywhere near a legitimate authentic dimsum restaurant. Dimsum dishes are very limited. They have siumai, hargow and a couple other basics. The black colored lobster dumpling (squid ink i believe) is good but a bit too gimmicky. Beef chow fun was absolutely lacking in everything, flavor, smokiness, noodles texture, and freshness of the beef. The kids did enjoy the deep fried bread dipped in condensed milk but I did not (or could not) even bring myself to eat the rest. My husband took everything else to go because I feel bad throwing food out. And now the most unfortunate part of this experris the supposed green tea. The gentleman did let us know that it was "Korean" green tea, so im not sure if it's meant to be bland and just taste like boiled water or am I missing anything??? I checked the pot and there were tea leaves. So we let it steep a while longer. 30mins later, still boiled water, no flavor no aroma. I feel terrible for leaving this place still hungry. We had the braised pork with rice, spicy greenbeans and the crispy eggplant with garlic sauce. All were wonderful. Who wouldn't want to go back to a place that has 7 different kinds of soup dumplings alone and multiple other dumplings and so many choices for entrees that it would take months of visits to try (the pork mooncake is one)? Saw an ig post for this place from some "influencer" who probably got free food to write something good. Overall our experience was just okay. We got the soup dumpling sampler with crab, truffle and pork I think. They were probably the best thing we ate here, soup was flavorful and the fillings were decent, the cucumber salad was second. Had such high hopes for this place! This restaurant is located in a fairly small shopping center next to apartment/condos. My coworker and I came here for a weekday lunch. The best item we tried was the pineapple fried rice. The beef chow fun was super greasy and used a red type of sauce which was not what I was expecting. This missed the mark of flavor. The soup dumplings: the broth had no flavor. After we were done we couldn't find anyone to get our check for awhile. This place is very slow which was also annoying. My fiancé and I came in on New Years Day, our first time in after living in KOP for a couple years. The atmosphere is inviting, decorated nicely, and clean. It was not busy when we arrived, 3 tables, one being a larger party. We were greeted and seated right away and asked if we wanted ice water or hot water. A new person came out with our water. We sat for a moment until we saw there was a QR code to place our order however it was just the menu, we were not able to add items to a "cart". After 10 minutes a third new person came over to take our order, did not ask if it was our first time in or if we had questions. I had started with saying I would like a Coca Cola to drink and my fiancé asked for a Sprite. We were told they only had Pepsi product even though there was Coca Cola on their menu. When drinks came out (in a can with a cup of ice) my fiancé received his Sprite and I a Pepsi, strange considering Sprite is a Coca Cola product. However was not a big deal just confusing. My entree, the spicy beef noodle soup came out first. It took about another 5 minutes for the dumplings and lastly my fiancés dish. Soup dumplings were not spicy at all, nor hot, but warm. Decent flavor but we have had much better elsewhere. My noodle dish was delicious, very flavorful and the meat was very tender. It could use a little less oil as there was a lot floating on the top and tasted a bit oily as well. Some empty plates were cleared and we were asked how everything was during our meal. At the conclusion we asked for the check and two to-go containers. I will say with the size of my soup bowl and how much liquid there was the bowl did not work well with pouring into the container. It was splashing all over and was a mess honestly. This dish would've been better packaged in the back for us like other places do with such dishes. We checked out on an IPad that was handed to us at our table and then our waiter went to a register to retrieve our receipt. We honestly were not sure who our tip was for since we had three different people bring our food out and who had taken our order. Dim sum king I was staying in a family gathering here in King of Prussia and I know about downtown Philadelphia Chinatown was just getting some dim sum and other Chinese food styles. I art fully chose sour cabbage and pork belly with bean thread soup and I was not disappointed. It was absolutely fantastic especially the soy sauce based dipping sauce and garlic and green onion and ginger absolutely delicious. I brought it home and the portions were huge. The next time I went, I ordered Shanghai style dumpling soup. This I found mediocre. The filling of the dumplings were just simply a pork that has been ground up with maybe a little onion and not much seasoning. It seems like the typical wonton dumpling that they would've put in their wonton soup, dressed up with a soup base with some onions and seasonings that they think would go with a Shanghai dumpling soup. The service was fantastic. I was treated very well by the way staff all of them. The decor was well done, and the place was very clean, including the bathroom I noticed someone said that the food style was that of dongbei or Northeast China war, or less colloquial known as Manchuria. There's a little odd set of vending machines one is an ice cream dispenser and the other one dispenses gift dolls. It almost looks like it's part of a boardwalk at a carnival. We ordered several soup dumplings and they were indeed very delicious and looked handmade in the restaurant. However, the other steamed or fried dumplings were evidently mass produced and straight out of frozen bags. The vegetable dumpling had hardly any fillings in it, and the sea food dumplings were so small and not even cooked properly. The other dishes we ordered were also very small in portions with premium price.
