Great place for family and large groups. Casual atmosphere and good food. This is a buffet with lots of options. All items have a description with ingredient information. Pay as you leave.

Popped in for an early weekday lunch and was very impressed with the massive selection! We dropped in right at open and were the only ones there. The restaurant was very large, clean, and the buffet bar was huge. Being the first ones in, we had first dibs on a completely untouched buffet and WOW there was a lot. The food looked great, and seemed very fresh. I only took a few pics because I'd need 30 to capture it all. I was impressed, and on a Monday! Everything was good, I'd say better than what you'd expect at a buffet. The appeal, like most buffets, is the selection (and all you can eat). There's not much to mention on service, it's essentially a self service buffet, to include drinks, which we actually really like. The gentleman who rang us up out on the way was friendly. Overall, a solid buffet option!

I had forgotten how much I like Dimassi's. Came in for dinner on a week day and the crowd was pretty light. First time at this location, but it is the nearest one to me. The buffet was pretty stocked though so that was nice to see. Lots of variety when it comes to hummus, salads, vegetarian dishes, meats, and desserts including a soft serve machine. Drinks are included and self serve. You pay at the counter at the end of your meal. It's nice and bright inside with plenty of seating. So my main disappointment was the food temperature. With a light dining crowd, I get that they wouldn't need to refill the food, but that meant most of the food not being hot. Lukewarm at best. I still enjoyed the kebab, gyro, and baked chicken. Love their rice. The vegetarian options are plentiful and excellent. I hope they are busy on the weekends. I would come back if I'm in this area but my go to location is the one in Irving.

I didn't really know what to expect with Dimassi's as it seemed there was a pretty extensive renovation operation with the old Black-Eyed Pea building that they moved into. Walking in, it makes sense now. You're greeted with a wide open, sleek, and vibrant interior. They really spent some money on making this place look good. The buffet line hugs the back of the restaurant, so there is of space to move about. The food options are extensive. The choices of fresh salads make up nearly a third of the options alone. For those versed with Mediterranean/Lebanese cuisine - they have all the dishes here that you would expect, from Tabouli to Falafel to Hummus to that great Vermicelli Rice. With so many options to choose from, I just indiscriminately piled up my plate. I think a good barometer for any Mediterranean place is their ground beef kabob, and the kofta here is great. My other favorites were the falafel, the lentil soup, and surprisingly enough, the fried chicken. So if you, like us, were looking for a good replacement for Tera in Fort Worth for your Mediterranean buffet fix, I think Dimassi's in the ol' Black-Eyed Pea will do it for you, as we plan to be back.

Came in at 4:30pm on a Tuesday. This place was dead!!! Soon as we got to the buffet line everything looks great, the food is pretty good and there are lots of things to try. The best thing was the Baklava and soft serve on top of it. I'd give this place 3.5 stars if possible because it was good but a little too expensive and nothing was GREAT. I came with 2 people and paid $43 I'd come here again if I had a party of people.

Beautiful, fresh, delicious, nice, and clean! The restaurant is beautiful with so much seating. The buffet spans the length of two whole walls! I have never seen a mediterranean/middle eastern buffet like this and I loved it. I've been in the Mediterranean/Middle East several times but always hesitant to try different things in case I didn't like it but here you get to try everything. I tried a bite of everything which was enough to fill two full plates, just to try!! I enjoyed almost everything and what I didn't like was just based on my personal taste not because it wasn't a great version of that dish. They had authentic drinks and desserts which I couldn't stop eating. Fresh veggies and fruits, varieties of dips, meats, the fish was delicious, curry, rices, and really anything you could think of. The chicken was actually moist! The service was so sweet. And I seriously can't believe the price, that's a steal!!!!! I wish I had one of these close to me!!

A fantastic surprise to find such a large and quality Mediterranean Buffett in Texas. Super clean, the quality of the fresh salads and fresh bar in general were fantastic. I have never had so much bang for my buck at a Buffett that I can ever remember. I would have happily paid 2x as much for this much variety of food and quality. The seafood and some of the meats were not great but there is enough variety to make up for that. The kafka and the schwarma were surprisingly wonderful. They have a handful of homeaid sauces and sides too including an exquisite garlic sauce , the tahini and hummus were also wonderful and tasted extremely fresh. The dessert bar was decent, my friend and I both found 2 desserts that we really loved. Highly recommend

Spotless restaurant. Amazing food! There's not one thing on the buffet that isn't delicious. We drive from Cleburne just to eat here.

Great selection. Just don't take food you are not going to eat. They have a sign that says they will charge you extra. That's a bit much?

The crunchy onions that retain structure was absolutely divine. I could eat this everyday. Brisket - we didn't get a fatty piece which I liked because it allowed me to not get full easily Sichuan Lamb Ribs - softest lamb I have ever had (that wasn't in a curry) and the rub on it was not only the perfect amount but a perfect blend Tandoori Turkey - this was really moist and not spicy, great choice for those who do not like red meat Seekh Kabob Sausage - the casing was well done and the flavor profile wasn't overpowering, sometimes desi spices can overtake the meat and that was not the case here (no pun intended) Kochumber salad - well seasoned and I am so glad it is on the menu because you need a fresh element to palate cleanse and cut through bbq fat They open at 11am and the line started forming 10:30am, it moves at a good pace. We were also instructed with what's on the menu and the parking situation which I thought was professional and well organized. We found some seating in the area next to the truck.

"Sabar BBQ: Where the lamb ribs made me want to high five a stranger."…read more TL;DR: Get there early, order the Sichuan Lamb Ribs, let Zain carve you a plate of happiness, and prepare to have your taste buds do a Texas two-step with Pakistani spices. Worth every minute of the wait. This one's climbing my top 50 list faster than a brisket disappears at a family reunion. After one failed mission to Sabar BBQ, where I showed up too late and found an empty pit (and an emptier stomach), I came back like a man on a barbecue pilgrimage. The sun was blazing, the line was growing, and I wasn't about to be left holding nothing but a napkin this time. Pitmaster Zain Shafi runs this blue trailer like a flavor command center. The smell hit me halfway through the line and had me grinning like a kid at the state fair. I made my move when it was my turn, and if you know me, you know lamb is my kryptonite. I ordered the Sichuan Lamb Ribs, then couldn't stop myself from adding brisket and Tandoori Turkey. The sides? Kachumber Salad and Daal Chawaal, because even Uncle Sean needs balance in life. Zain loaded everything up, tossed it all on top of some naan for good measure, and sent me to my table like a champion headed to the winner's circle. The first bite of lamb ribs nearly had me proposing to the pit. Spicy, tender, smoky perfection with a bark that made my heart sing. The brisket was rich and juicy, the turkey came with that tandoori kick that slapped me awake in the best way possible. The sauces just tied the whole thing together like a big barbecue hug. The yogurt mint cilantro sauce was made to cool and lift the brisket and turkey to a whole new level. The red sauce packed a punch and paired with the lamb like it was born for the job. I boxed up some leftovers for my wife, the Side Dish Queen herself, because a man who doesn't bring home naan from Sabar BBQ is a man sleeping on the couch. She confirmed what I already knew: this was next-level barbecue, the kind that earns legends and long lines. Sabar BBQ is only open on weekends, and only fools show up late. I won't make that mistake again. This was stop number 15 on my Texas Monthly Top 50 journey, leaving me with 35 more glorious BBQ pilgrimages ahead before the passport is full and my belt officially waves the white flag. If loving these lamb ribs is wrong, I don't wanna be rib-right.

Even though the playground is usually his favorite spot, he didn't hesitate & insisted we go to Kafi for the brisket. That pretty much sums up how my family feels about this place. We've tried plenty of BBQ spots around Texas, but Kafi keeps bringing us back. The brisket is consistently excellent, and you can tell they use the highest-quality ingredients because the flavor really speaks for itself. Everything on the menu is done well, from the Wagyu and sausage to the burnt ends. I follow the chef/owner on Instagram (@kafibbq), and the amount of effort and detail he puts into his craft has resulted in multiple return visits for me. This review is for my latest visit. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Kafi BBQ can be found in a shopping strip in Irving-Valley Ranch. Only opened Friday - Sunday, on my most recent Sunday visit around dinner time, Kafi was packed. The patrons were a great mix of families, BBQ lovers, and those looking for high quality Halal meats. Smoke was in the air. 1 Star. Service - The staff is super friendly and nice. Pro Tip - Go for lunch or before 6 before items are sold out. A few items were sold out on my most recent visit (my fault I arrived at 6:45) and the staff weren't aware of what was available, leading to some confusion, but they were so nice it didn't impact my meal. 1 Star. Food - By now, you've probably read or heard about Kafi's Wagyu Brisket. For me, I love following @kafibbq on Instagram so I can see what Salahodeen is cooking up. On this visit, it was the Brisket Sandwich. First off, the house baked bread roll is soft, but firm enough to hold Kafi's famous brisket on a pile of home made cole slaw and pickles. The result was one of the best BBQ sandwiches I've eaten. The bite was soft, smokey, crunchy, and tart (from the pickles). It was a special, and I'm not sure if Kafi will keep this on the menu, but I hope they do. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. It's pricey, but it's worth it. While the brisket is great, I suggest you follow them on Instagram to see what's cooking and plan your visit around the specialty items. 1 Star.
