Went for lunch so this is based on their lunch menu. A lot if typical food like other Chinese buffet places...cold peel and eat shrimp, and cold mussels were available for lunch. Mussels didn't have much flavor but I don't know how it's different than other places having same item that were more flavorful. Other items were similar to other buffet places...Mongolian, sushi, salad, deserts. The selections were not as elaborate as other similar places as the place as smaller. I eat at the buffets all over Fort Worth Arlington and Dallas. I came here for the first time and probably about five years. What I noticed was, I could definitely taste the garlic compared to the other restaurants. not only did the food taste better but the next day I couldn't believe how clear my vision was. This was my first buffet experience since COVID (excluding the small salad bar at Ruby Tuesday). It was disappointing. The prices are reasonable. If you don't want to visit the buffet, you can purchase combo items to go (two items for $7.29 or three items for $8.29). There were six of us at the table. Our server brought drinks quickly and removed the first round of plates. After that she was not focused on us. So we stacked our plates. The employees were not refilling all of the food items. They ran out of soup bowls for a while. They also ran out of ketchup. Some items were okay (low mein, green beans and rice). Most items were not that quality. There were gnats coming from somewhere. We would see them flying around the table. One landed in a drink. When the server decided we were done (we weren't) she placed the bill and fortune cookies on the table. Some of us still wanted drink refills. The best part of the restaurant was the pet turtles swimming by the fountain. There are so many great restaurants in the area. The only drawback is that their prices have steadily increased which will soon price us out of buffet dining here. I love this buffet! Atmosphere is nice. Full choice of dishes. Sushi, Mongolian BBQ, soups, fried rice, noodle dishes, wonderful garlic green beans, orange chicken, cream cheese/crab wontons, egg rolls, salad bar, great fish, even American food for a family member who might not not like Asian food--pizza, french fries, potatoes. They have a very large selection. I do wish it was a little bit bigger though.. As far as food quality, I'm not complaining it's all pretty tasty. If you haven't not like what they have lamps go over to the Mongolian grill inside the store the back and have them cook you up something fresh. It's pretty good too. Haven't been to a Chinese buffet in years--literally--since we lived in Florida and we moved away from our favorite buffet. We definitely picked the right buffet to eat at. The teriyaki chicken was so good. The egg and vegetable mai fun was delicious. The 4 pieces of fried sushi on the back of the plate tasted like a scrumptious Kilimanjaro Roll from a Japanese restaurant in Land O' Lakes, FL called Ginza. Very impressed with that one because it was definitely still crispy. The other pieces of sushi tasted very fresh! Haven't had good sushi in months--since we moved to Fort Worth from Carrollton, TX. And I was so shook. I've *NEVER EVER* liked flan before I tried it at this place in little square cups. I actually liked that as much as the fried sushi and mai fun! Had I known it was so good I'd have saved room for more of that!! :'D Used the bathroom, didn't smell anything off like someone else mentioned. Oh and they provide gloves and hand sanitizer because of the 'rona. I don't understand why people are giving this place rave reviews but only giving 4 stars..? The reviews don't match the stars. Lots of shrimp seafood options, chicken options, egg foo young, chicken satay were large and delicious and generous egg rolls size... the wonton soup was perfect as you can create your own. Very clean and well maintained. Baked salmon looked great but I didn't venture. BBQ ribs were large and delicious. I love any place that offers an all-you-can-eat option! East Gourmet Buffet allows you to enter, get your table, and immediately start filling up a plate with food. They have many, many Asian food options; Chinese, Japanese, Mongolian. There's also a buffet stand dedicated to desserts, and a soft serve ice cream machine in the back corner. They also have imported Asian teas which are far better than most American tea bags. The service was great, and the entire restaurant (tables, buffet tables, and bathrooms) was very clean. I've rarely seen a buffet restaurant as clean as this place. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes Asian food; especially those that are very hungry -- I stuffed myself! ;) read more

The lunch buffet was pretty standard and features a Mongolian grill.... nothing to brag about. HOWEVER, their bbq ribs were cooked on a real charcoal grill and they were AMAZING! These could easily contend with any local bbq joint. They also had grilled corn on the cob. read more
