    Texas Trinity and Birria Tacos!

We love Hurtado's BBQ! Always consistent, at all locations. We go to the Dallas Farmers market and the Fort Worth Hospital district locations the most. I always get the Texas Trinity and my wife loves the tacos! Highly recommend!

Wow. Talk about amazing customer service. Demi greeted us right as we walked through the door. She was a welcomed experience. Fun with an amazing personality. She turned a bad day into a great one in just a matter of seconds. Thanks Demi. The first thing I noticed is they have new menus. Detailed and easy to read. We opted to try "the Jefe". It's a combination of ribs, pulled pork, burnt ends, brisket, turkey and sausage. Our sides consisted of Green beans, potato salad, tater tot casserole, cabbage and Hatch green chili Mac n cheese. Also ordered a Texas Twinkie! Hurtados knows BBQ. Ribs are tender and tasty and MOIST! The perfect combination. Their burnt ends are other worldly. My absolute favorite. A slight sweet but tangy outer layer that makes your eyes roll back in your head. The Pulled pork equally as good. The turkey...drum roll is the best in Fort Worth. The brisket has the perfect outer crust while maintaining a moistness. Finally the Texas Twinkie....a stuffed jalapenos with pimento cheese and wrapped in bacon cooked in a BBQ sauce outer coating. Scrumptious! Damn, it's sooooo good. Here's where Hurtado rises above other BBQ's restaurants...(besides having great customer service) is their sides. The potato salad is Devine. Deliciously Devine. It has a little kick and is a mashed potato salad that is soooo dang flavorful. We literally almost fell out of our chairs when we tried the tater tot casserole. Unique in all the right ways. A MUST TRY! Green beans, cabbage, beans all BBQ staples and delicious in their own right. Their BBQ sauces, peach habanero, sweet n spicy and Aztec gold compliments the meats perfectly. I'm not a sauce kinda guy but was pleasantly surprised with theirs. The restaurant is small and they recently added more seating. It was packed with a nice flow of customers. Happy customers.

The brisket was the best part, and the ribs were right behind. The sausage was too soft for my liking. The hatch Mac n cheese didn't have much flavor. The big red taco was terrible. It was supposed to be barbacoa but it didn't even remotely resemble it. Overall, wouldn't recommend this place, but they do have good brisket and ribs.

This place was so good. The standout order was the tres leches banana pudding. Just make sure you get like five of them. That was my biggest regret but otherwise everything was really good. The meat was tender and moist, the beans were decent , the jalapeno wrapped in bacon Texas twinkie with smoked brisket in it- was really good. You can't go wrong here. Every order will be great. We will be back

I was heading to Mansfield with some friends for cheesecake, but they were closed on Sunday. But right next door is Hurtado. I checked their ratings on YELP, and in we went. You order just inside the front door, where you're given a plastic number to set on your table for service. This place was busy...like, really busy. I was told it'd be a 15 minute wait. But 15 minutes turned into 30, and then 45. I was a little annoyed because nobody checked on us during this wait. Nobody. When the food arrived, the brisket was extremely fatty. If I had to estimate. I'd say it was a good 35% fat. The food was actually delicious, which is why this rating is getting a high mark. The potatoes salad is amazing. For real. The restaurant is rustic with bar-appeal.

Holy wow! We are new to the area and found this place on maps. What a gem!!!! The food was out of this world! We came at breakfast and got a two meat platter which comes with the best rice and beans I have ever had, 4 tortillas, 2 choices of meat, eggs, and PHENOMENAL green sauce! Additionally, we got the breakfast brisket biscuit which also has bacon and cheese and was equally as delicious. The service was fast and friendly too, what more could you ask for?! We will 100% be back here for lunch!

A few things that we ordered. The trinity with ribs, brisket, sausage and a side of potato salad. Ribs were amazing, sausage and brisket were ok. We weren't a fan of the potato salad. It was a bit bland, next time we will try the beans or corn. The Birria taco was amazing with the consume! This was by far the best consume we have tried. So much flavor with added spice!!!! Wow!!!! The brisket tostada was really good as well! It was layered with refried beans. We also had a tres leche banana pudding. Very surprised it was not overly sweet. It was well balanced and the only thing I would recommend is that they needed to add more cookies to it. :-) Service was great! Made recommendations and answered all of our questions! It looks like it's a small area to dine in, but while we were leaving we noticed there was another door with more seating available.

We stopped in on Easter, so extra points for being open. In the true fashion of trying as much as we could we opted for the El Jefe added fries and a Birria taco. Everything was delish and it was enough for everyone to sample the goods and we left feeling pretty full. The staff was super friendly and the wait was pretty short even with it being busy. We will definitely be back.

My favorite items were the Texas Twinkie and the green beans

Great bbq no wait friendly people- go with confidence the part of the dining room with AC isn't huge so go early if you like it cool!

This wonderful spot is a fusion between Mexican food and barbecue. Each of the barbecue selections were incredible! Ditto with the Mexican food. Don't let the size of the place for you, they are quick and efficient and the food is fresh and ready to go! The staff is friendly and helpful. This place feels like you just walked into your favorite food spot in your old hometown. Nothing fancy; no fru-fru - just a downhome eatery. I will be back!!!!!

The food was excellent and so was the service. Placed the order for pickup and it was ready when I got there. I ordered pulled pork, pork ribs, brisket and burnt ends with slaw, baked beans and Mac n cheese as sides. I'm not typically big on slaw but it was some of the best I've ever had. I anticipated parking would be much worse than it was, I'll have to go back.

We found this place on a Tuesday evening. Hurtado was amazing!! The food was amazing and Nat and her team provided amazing service!! We definitely will return and highly recommend this location!!

Very nice BBQ with great flavors. All was good, but the birria taco and the hatch chili Mac & cheese really stood out. Very chill atmosphere too.

I'm not sure if they just changed suppliers or not but things have gotten smaller / worse quality while the price has gone up for what arguably is standard breakfast fare. Case in point: the Chicken or Egg Sandwich. Used to be my go to, but after having it recently again after not coming for quite some time it was a disappointment. The chicken cutlet used was thin compared to the thick fried version it had before, everything was a bit beige, and a rather small serving of hash browns accompanied it. I had a standard black coffee alongside it which tasted a bit watered down and my partner has commented that the speciality coffees are not as good as they used to be. Other new additions to the menu aren't exactly what you would expect, for example the Monte Cristo is more a deconstructed version of the Bennigan's classic but it's not obvious unless your waiter tells you. The price is typical of downtown but the food doesn't rise to the occasion and the value proposition for me isn't enough to come back unless something changes. Thats not to say the food is all bad, but seeing what it was prior to their menu change, it's just uninspiring for the price. The service however has remained top tier and every time I have gone I've had fantastic service regardless of if it's a Sunday morning with a hour long wait or a quiet weekday lunch.

What a great choice for breakfast. The menu was filled with choices for everyone. Will definitely have to come back to try more. I ordered the cinnamon roll french toast which was a whole roll sliced up and cooked as french toast. Have never seen that anywhere else. The only downside was a strange smell like old mop water that permeated the entrance and the seats near it. We had to ask to move seats. The table we were then moved to was crammed against the front wall crooked for some reason. Otherwise, the food was on point and delicious.

While it was a lovely experience in a stunning environment, it fell a bit short of the high bar you'd expect for a $95/pp tea service. The Good: First and foremost, the environment is absolutely beautiful. The Bowie House, Bricks & Horses restaurant, and the Mulberry Room itself are gorgeously decorated with a sophisticated Texas Western theme. The atmosphere in the Mulberry library is intimate and visually striking. Additionally, the service was excellent from start to finish, being both attentive and professional. The food portions are quite generous, with both the savories and sweets served together on a single tower. The sweets were the highlight of the food, as they were very delicious and surprisingly large. We also really enjoyed the tea selections themselves, particularly the Earl Grey and the plum rooibos. The Letdowns: Unfortunately, a few details missed the mark, especially considering the premium price point: - The "Champagne": The experience is advertised as including a glass of Champagne, but we were actually served Prosecco. At nearly $100 a person, substituting Prosecco for real Champagne or Cremant is a major disappointment. - The Tea Service: Instead of receiving a teapot to enjoy throughout the afternoon, the tea is steeped directly in the cup. This limits you to a single cup per tea variety, though to be fair, I didn't ask if refills were an option. - Food Refinement: While the portions were large and the savories were tasty, they lacked the elegance of a traditional tea. Every savory option was open-faced and heavily blanketed in microgreens and edible flowers, which felt a bit unrefined. - Comfort & Conversation: The Mulberry library features low couches, deep chairs, and coffee tables. While this setup would be absolutely perfect for relaxing with a glass of whiskey, it makes leaning over to eat finger foods highly uncomfortable. Furthermore, the seating layout isn't ideal for holding a natural conversation with the people in your party. Overall: It is a nice experience in a breathtaking Fort Worth hotel, but I'm not sure I would return. If the price point were lower, the execution would make more sense. However, given the other highly refined afternoon tea options available across DFW for less money, this one doesn't quite live up to its price tag.

Waiting 20 min for water and a pen for the bill since it was already gratted and then the family needs to leave. Horrible customer experience.

Want a southern Louisiana breakfast in Fort Worth? Check out Fixe Southern House in ClearFork…read more Sunday brunch was so nice. Went for the biscuits, but our very wise waitress, Adriana, warned us that the biscuits were made with lard. Well that knocked out a bunch or breakfast options. She was so sweet and actually went to the kitchen and marked the menu pointing out lard-free menu choices. On the menu. Using black ink dots. Above and beyond. So we regrouped our breakfast plans and went mainly vegetarian. The Herbivore was absolutely delicious! Antebellum cheese grits topped with garlicky kale, romanesco and a soft boiled egg. We added a second egg. Split with my hubby. So good!! My sister-in-law had the brioche French toast. French toast topped with honey better, fresh berries and pecan granola. Served with maple syrup. Amazing! Added the duck fat breakfast potatoes. Who knew that the flavor would be so enhanced with the onions, peppers and duck fat. Get this side! Not a coffee drinker, but my hubby really enjoyed the coffee that is sourced from Cusco, Peru. Adriana made sure that the cups were always full and hot. Thank you for the VIP service at Fixe Southern House. Resident discount applied. Born from Opelousas, Louisiana, breakfast served with a huge helping of southern hospitality. We started with the biscuits and cinnamon roll. I would recommend both. The biscuits came with a jam, honey and whipped butter. The cinnamon roll, which may look a bit underwhelming had a such a great crispy texture on the outside while still being fluffy on the inside. The icing wasn't too sweet and complimented the roll nicely. For the table, we had the pollo frito biscuit w/duck fat potatoes, Brisket Benedict w/okra and the Fixe Breakfast entree w/maple sausage and potatoes. The pollo Frito was delicious, the chicken was seasoned well and maintained crunch even within the biscuit. Duck fat potatoes were also good but were even better after adding some salt. The brisket benny was okay, the texture of the brisket was very odd and didn't really hold up to the egg. Although the okra had a great flavor the batter was a bit too thick which made it chewy. The Fixe breakfast was great and the maple sausage was perfect. Our waitress was Adriana, she was great and very helpful. Overall we would definitely come back and look forward to trying dinner one night.

However the bathroom sinks may just be an elaborate prank pulled on every guest of this hotel. There are many photos already on here, but the pictures don't do it justice. The sink is approximately 7" x 12", and has a mirror jutting out over a portion of it, leaving you with roughly 4-5" of functional sink space. This will be the smallest sink you've ever used in your life (and I've spent lots of time in NYC and Chicago, where I've used some very small sinks). Need to wash your hands? You're getting water on your feet. Shave? Better wear a bathing suit. Wash your face? A wetsuit is recommended. Accidentally turn the water on too high when doing any of the above? Bet you didn't know you were about to take a full shower! I'm not sure the building codes in Dallas, but apparently you can get away with installing dollhouse fixtures here. Choose another property just simply so you don't have to deal with the hassle.

Overall the room was very nice.. I was surprised by the complete cement room but shockingly it was perfect, the bed is comfortable however the pillows are very big. My neck does not do well with thick pillows and these were very thick. The bar was mediocre and the bar tender struggled to keep up with customers and wasn't very friendly. Overall it was a good hotel and a fun experience.
