We've been to Pacos before Shogun took over and you can tell they have made some minor updates (painting the walls, closing off some of the space to allow for another tenant and hanging samurai like art work). We walked as soon as they opened for dinner but still had to wait longer than expected between drinks, appetizers and entrees. I ordered the bao which came highly recommended! They were good! I loved the plating. My husband got the hot stone with wagyu which wasn't enough food even with ordering gyoza and edamame. The tinga gyoza were tasty but when we ordered fried, we thought they would be pan fried. Still good! The edamame were your basic plating with soy sauce and tajin. Overall service was decent. It was so hot inside the restaurant with barely any airflow outside of two ceiling fans on the opposite side of the room.

GO TO THE SPEAKEASY. Go to the right when you walk in and give them the nod. Great music and good drinks. Real mixologists work here.

Raman Rito... my daughter did not like it. My husband tried it as well and said it tasted like prison food

Had really high hopes for this place but it's a hit or miss. We ordered the aguas frescas with boba and the fruit was sour! It had definitely turned and it showed. Thankfully the waitress returned them and didn't charge us. Turns out the fridge was broken Where they stored the drinks and fruit. Afterward made us nervous about ordering food but she assured us that the meat was in a different fridge and not affected. We ordered appetizers and food and it was delicious! One of the dishes my daughter did not like but for the most part it was good. Wish I could say this place was exceptional but was a hit or miss.below are the photos of the food.

The dumplings themselves absolutely lived up to the hype--perfectly delicate with a flavorful broth inside. We also ordered the dim sum combination, additional dim sum, and lo mein, and everything came out fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. The variety in the dim sum was impressive, and the lo mein had a great texture and seasoning that tied the meal together nicely. You can tell there's real skill in the kitchen when it comes to the food. My only complaint was noticing the staff making the fresh dumplings eating personal food while working. It took away a bit from the overall experience and professionalism you'd expect, especially in an open kitchen setting. That said, the food quality is definitely worth it, and I'd still recommend stopping by if you're craving authentic soup dumplings in the area. Solid 4 stars!

We went here for lunch after spending July 4th at the Gaylord Texan Resort. The reviews were good,…read morethe restaurant is close to the resort, and we were in the mood for Chinese. The restaurant itself is attractive both inside and outside. Upon entering we were quite hopeful that the food would match the decor. I started with egg drop soup and it was good but not as flavorful as others I have had. That would become a theme for our meal. The kid had steamed juicy dumplings and liked them, but she said that they were not as good as dumplings at Jeng Chi in Richardson. I tried a couple and agreed that they are not as good. They were fine, just not as good as others. The wife had beef noodle soup with broccoli and on the positive side the beef (brisket) was incredibly tender. However, the noodles were way over cooked and the broth lacked something. It did not have a deep, developed flavor. I had garlic chicken and on the positive side, the chicken was tender and the many types of veggies were cooked well. However, the dish was bland. It really had very little flavor, and I said to the wife that if I did not know it was garlic chicken, I would never have guessed. It was just bland. The service was friendly but our server disappeared for long periods of tine. The dumplings and soups came out fast, but my dish took forever. I actually thought that our server went on break or went home for the day. it was a really long wait. We probably would not return to this restaurant again.

Should've done a side-by-side, but it was only me. Lol. The fish was exquisite. The heat was also good. This dish pairs really well with rice; I also enjoy taking the leftovers home, letting them sit overnight in the fridge, and enjoying with more rice. Mmm! But I am from out of town and was alone, so I ate it all there. They don't have WiFi, but there was some "guest Frontier" WiFi that was good for an hour. (And you can refresh it each hour.) Next time, I would try the "Szechuan Boiled Fish." Or if that's too much, the Mapo Tofu. The radio was playing like Christian soul; new to me, but as a Christian, I didn't mind. =) Oh, and in the pic I have my Kefir from Trader Joe's. I wanted something dairy to counter the heat, if needed. Mmm.

Tried Noodle Works for the first time, after hearing about it on social media. I placed an online…read moreorder for the two chicken egg rolls, Spicy chili wontons, general Tso chicken and an order of fried rice flat noodles. All the food was on the expensive side, but I heard it was good, so I didn't mine. One of the first thing I noticed was the entrees do not come with rice. There is a $1 up charge for white rice and $3 for fried rice, $5 for noodles. I have never experienced a Chinese restaurant that charged for white rice with an entree (not even PF Chang). I arrived 10 minutes after the time I was told my food would be ready. I checked in at the register and was told it would be another 5 minutes. I was told to have a seat and wait. Since there is no place to sit when waiting for a take out order, I sat down in the closet booth next to the register. After about 1 minute, a very rude lady came over in broken English and screamed that I could not sit there. I told her I was waiting on a to-go order and she just kept screaming "you don't can sit there", so I got up and stood by the front door. If my food had not already been paid for, I would have left after that rude encounter. The ambiance of the restaurant is very strange as they had a boombox loudly playing 80s music. It was so load, I felt bad for the customers who were eating at there. No way you could enjoy siting there listening to the annoying loud music while you ate. About 5 minutes later (15 minutes past the time they originally told me it would be ready) my food was ready. The food did come out very hot. I retrieved my food and took it home to enjoy. Overall the food is very basic and not worth the elevated price. The egg rolls were over fried and greasy. The spicy wonton were very bland and not spicy at all. The general Tso chicken was not good. Very small pieces of chicken, over breaded and a bland sauce. Again not spicy at all. The fried flat rice noodles were the biggest disappointment. Mushy noodles that were all stuck together. Not good at all. Overall the Noodle Works was a big disappointment. There are so many better option in the area (Dragon House or the Wok). Do yourself a favor and skip the rude staff Noodle Works.
