When you see their price on the internet, it is not the price you will pay. I was shopping for a car for my mother online. Asked them to provide me a price out the door to know what tax and fees would be. And Surprise it was $2,000 more. They claim while we give a fine print warning that you have to be a member of the Farm Bureau to get that pricing and have to trade in a lease and sell your grandmother (etc.). When I deal with business, I deal with reputable companies when a company hides the real price to get lower listing on cars.com or auto trader they are a company that is hiding other stuff also. I have bought many cars and never had a price jump up $2,000 from an advertised price. I will never deal with this company; I am reporting their conduct to the FTC, Attorney General office and other government agencies and a complaint to GM Dealer services. A stockholder of GM, this dealership should have it's license pulled as it is lowering my stock value. I will also be letting GM investor relations know about this. Don't deserve one star . My husband has been sitting in the maintenance dept to have an oil change and a tire rotation on our Equinox for 5 hours. He had an 8:15 apt today. It is 1:01pm. At 12 noon after I called to see if he was ok, they told me they lost paperwork and lost the tag on our key. And apologized profusely and tried to offer free "stuff" which we declined. Meanwhile he is still there an hour later. Seriously, if there is a car in your bay for service and you can't find paperwork, etc. wouldn't you tell the customer instead of letting them sit and wait???? I got my very first car, a 2014 Spark, from Dimmitt Chevrolet in January of 2015! I could not have been more anxious or excited to experience all of the freedom of having my own car! However, it's hard to enjoy such "freedom" when, I've only had my car for 15 months and have had to bring it in 11 times for various reasons (4 of those visits required me to have a rental). I appreciate being given the rentals so I can continue my daily schedule! However, having to fill up a tank that costs $20 - $30 more than my mine has been more of a curse than a blessing. It's also quite an inconvenience to worry about not being busy so I can bring the rental back at a reasonable time and finally pick my car back up. The staff is-usually-always very caring and polite, which is great, but good people skills aren't what's going to fix my car. Nearly every time after I've gotten my Chevy Spark back, something else needs to be fixed or is broken. My tire sensors have been faulty ever since I bought my Spark (my sensors in general seem to have shortage issues) the fuel door has broken, my air conditioner has broken, there's been multiple recalls, rattling noises coming from my dash and gear shift (I had a rental for 15 days due to this), traction control problems, hard start ups, stalling, etc. I'm even currently in a 2016 Malibu rental while my Spark is getting fixed...AGAIN. I appreciate the fact that my car is getting fixed for free however, the fact that I have to continuously go back and get it fixed is redundant and ridiculous!!!! I am absolutely heart broken and horrified by this whole experience, I just wanted a reliable car and all I got was a giant headache! It's a shame because both my parents have Chevys and I wanted one too, but I will never buy another Chevrolet vehicle and will NOT recommend this brand to ANY of my coworkers, friends, family, or anyone for that matter! I am EXTREMELY disappointed and upset with both Dimmitt Chevrolet and Chevrolet itself. I would have called a lawyer and had the lemon law put into affect if it wasn't for the fact that I am leaving for Air Force boot camp in 10 days. He was super knowledgeable about the truck we were purchasing, understood that we were working within a certain budget and helped make it happen that we could stay within that budget. I have never had a sales person as a car dealership actually make me feel like they genuinely care about us and the large purchase we were making. Even though we know we will be keeping this truck for the long haul I will hands down buy another vehicle from Garrett and refer him to all who ask. He was amazing. Hello Mr. Collore (General Manager/Dimmitt Chevrolet): Thank you for your letter asking about my experience with my recent vehicle purchase. This is my third purchase through your dealership and it will certainly be my last. Let me tell you about my experience-- On 8/2, my husband and I worked with salesman Gerald Stumpf. While doing the paperwork, he shared the service records with us indicating that there was a tire patch. Mind you, we are being charged close to $1800 for "reconditioning" and to have the vehicle "Certified". Your salesman went back and forth saying, no the tire was not patched, then it was, then it wasn't. My husband is a mechanic--he knows how to decipher service records. How is it acceptable that your dealership will try to sell a Certified Vehicle with a patched Tire? Extremely deceptive and shady. Then he offered us $100 to just accept the car. I said fine, as long as I get it in writing that the service records were incorrect (highly doubtful) and that Dimmitt will take on any liability if the tire was patched. Remember, I am paying $1800 extra for a Like New car per your salesman. Needless to say, Gerald was going back and forth with whomever lives in the corner office in the showroom and said it was agreed that our tire would be replaced. He still maintained that the tire was not patched, but that he was just "Sales" and Service was closed as it was a Sunday. He said he was replacing the tire to make us happy. Isn't that nice of him? Again, deceptive business practices. Come Monday morning, 8/3--lo and behold the back right tire was flat. Not a patched tire right? My husband had to take off work and bring the car in for the tire replacement that morning. Then we get a call on Tuesday--great news! We got better terms for our loan and come on in! We'll be pretty thrilled. I called and would not be told how the terms changed, but that I would be happy and come on in for a quick resign. So we did. And waited and waited. We had the displeasure of working with "Dave" the Finance Guy. You see, I happened to notice that my finance total went up from the original contract we signed on 8/2. Why I wonder? Well Dave explained to me that it was because VIN Etching ($499) was added to the contract and that it was very important. When asked if the VIN Etching was a requirement of financing, he tried to spin that it was. However when I told him I will call Ally Bank and confirm, he backed off that lie. Can you explain to me please your business practice of adding additional fees to an already agreed upon contract? I'd really like to know how that is acceptable. Again, your dealership proved itself to be deceptive. Dave did finally remove the VIN Etching, however was none too pleased as was indicated by him slamming around papers and barking at someone who called him that he was "working on the xxxxxxxx re-send". He was not happy that I then asked to see the previous and current contract to check ALL numbers and wanted copies as well. At this point, who knows what else was changed in the contract right? On Friday, I got several more calls while I was out of town. Dave left voicemails and said in his haste to void the previous documents (and get us out of his office I am sure), he voided one too many and could we please come back in. I called Gerald and told him due to my hours this week, they will need to overnight the paperwork. I asked Gerald what the paperwork was, he stated something it was something "that the State of Florida" required. Well no, it was actually my contract all over again. How and why Dave voided the new contract we signed I have no idea. Do you? We will be purchasing our son's vehicle next year sometime, however Dimmitt Chevrolet will not be receiving our business. Update, I called my service provider back on Monday, 1-23-17. I was told the machine shop who cut and seated the valves in the cylinder heads did not cut and seat all the valves and they missed one. This caused the engine to run rough again. The cylinder head affected was sent back to the same machine shop to complete the job and should be ready Wednesday. Today, 1-25-17, my advisor called and stated they received the cylinder head back and will install all the parts and test tomorrow. read more

Come here only if you want to waste time and not buy a car. I called in for just an inquiry on a car I saw online. The salesman talked to me for probably 45 mins and got all of my information, except my SSN to run a credit check. I specifically said, I do not want to run a credit check at this point, it's just an inquiry. He blatantly lied and said, we have to run a credit check on you to know what offers you qualify for, which would have been an acceptable response had I tried to finance the vehicle or something, but I wanted to pay cash. I've talked to probably 10 other dealerships and all they wanted to know was if I leased a GM vehicle or if I had a competitor's vehicle, never had I been asked for my SSN and a credit check to determine what incentives are available. It's obviously a lie because none of the other dealerships I spoke to needed any of that information. At the end of the call he said he'd talk to his manager and get back to me. It's been over a week now and not a call or email from him. Needless to say, they will not be getting my business. The true professionalism and trust that I first experienced has been long gone. I've experienced this on two different occasions now. About two years ago I returned to try and get into another car and lower my payments. I expected the same awesome experience that I received the first time. Boy, was I highly disappointed. The sales person I was given was the shadiest and most untrustworthy person I've ever encountered. After running numbers on my vehicle and seeing if he could make something work, he proceeded to let me know that my finance company was reporting that I hadn't made a payment on my car in over a year. Kinda funny since I still had the car in my possession and actually DROVE it there to trade it in. Usually after three months, they repossess you car if no payment. I didn't make a stink about it because of the young lady he was "training". Hopefully she didn't pick up his habit. After leaving the premises I called my finance company just get to the bottom of everything. The rep I spoke to confirmed that my payments and loan were up to date and they were not reporting any late payments on my credit report. He proceeded to let me know that more than likely the reason why the salesman said what he said was because he didn't want my car, I owed way more on it than what it was worth. That was the end of that. On New Year's Eve 21017, for some dumb reason, I decided to give them another try, just because. After test driving a nice vehicle that I was ready to leave with, the numbers didn't add up to what I was given (I was pre approved by a bank and they had all the numbers already in place, even interest rate and my credit score). I insisted they run the app through my bank since i was already approved. The rep listed the car at almost $3000 more than my institution did, their interest rate number, he said came back 1% higher, and even said my credit score was about 20 points lower than what they had and what I was SHOWING IN REAL TIME on three different credit apps. The manager he called in to try and "close" me after I repeatedly declined all payment offers they kept trying to put me in tried miserably himself. After I let them know what KBB is listing my car for, their offer was almost $2000 less. And he continued to insist that KBB's numbers were wrong. After some back and forth, he said he'll call KBB to see what they'll give me. He went outside to literally nitpick every little detail wrong with my car, truly pathetic. I had enough at that point, asked for my keys and left. I see why all the horrible reviews are on here. Walked in to the dealership looking for a new vehicle. Was pretty certain I wouldn't be able to get in to a new truck (old vehicle was 2001 Ford Ranger). As I talked to Dana Awad about my new vehicle, it was apparent I wouldn't be able to afford the Colorado (unless I took a work truck version of it). So I took shot at the Malibu. The test drive was nice and the price was right, but I had one more appointment to check out a different vehicle at another dealership. Dana and sales manager (Dave) were engaged with me the entire time and through some more discussion and options, they came back with an offer on a Chevy Colorado that was in my budget. I had to compromise on engine size (substituted V-6 for 4-cylinder), but I was more interested in some of the bells & whistles and being in a truck than I was the engine size. Dana and Dave made the process smooth and made sure Dimmitt Chevrolet will have the first opportunity to get me in a new vehicle when the lease on my 2016 Chevy Colorado is ended.
