The same person who handled pizza slices from the pizza trays to the oven bare-handed also rang us up, touching credit cards, cash and the register. There isn't any ambience to this place either--no TV, the tables were dirty and the front door was wide open on a night with 40 degree weather. The buffalo chicken pizza was the only thing worth eating. The vegetarian pizza was limp and watery. The chicken and waffle pizza was greasy and not flavorful. Drinks are by the can. I don't think even the 20 year-old me would've liked this place, but it is popular. If you're desperate for pizza, try Dimo's. It's relatively inexpensive, and the folks that work there seem friendly. read more

I love Dimo's Pizza so much. I'm vegan and it's nice to have a solid late night option for pizza by the slice! I've been numerous times and typically I like to get a slice or two. The mac & cheese is usually available by the slice, and it's probably my favorite one. On a recent visit there were no vegan slices remaining so we ordered a whole pie, half mac & cheese, half buffalo. The order came out super quick, probably within 15-20 minutes. I think the buffalo half had way too much sauce on it... not sure if this is typical. I love buffalo sauce but my mouth was on fire. The other half was delicious as usual. I'll give the buffalo pizza a pass because it was good, just oversauced... but in the future I might order it with less sauce just in case. I was really looking forward to their vegan pizzas. As a person who cannot do milk products (woe is me...), I only have pizza when I make it myself at home. Dimo's is kind of a dumpy looking place, but I think that's the ambiance they want to portray. Their menu is really fantastic - lots of variety in pizzas. But, we went on a Sunday, and they don't make vegan slices on Sundays. But, you may order a pizza to order, so I did. My daughter selected it (she is the decider) and picked the Dimo Florentine. Their oven must be very hot because I want to say it was ready in about 10 minutes. First the good - the crust was really fantastic. And, the marinara sauce they use was alsio very tasty, But I have to say that, honestly I was a little disappointed in the pizza itself. Oh, the toppings were good. But I was expecting to have it be more like a real pizza. The "cheese" they use was kind of tasteless and they didn't put very much on the pizza. I meant to ask what brand of vegan cheese they use but forgot to before I left. A couple of other good things to say. (1) The service is really good. The people who work there are friendly and kind. They want to help and are good at explaining the items on the menu. (2) They have a very interesting selection of soft drinks. I stuck with water, but my son got something called "Leninade". Leninade is a pink lemonade in an old soviet looking bottle. Kind of fun. Other than that, the experience was a good one. Vegan cheese is one of those things. Some are okay and others are bad. I've never really had a good one. But, it is nice that Dimo's offers it as an option for those of us who either prefer vegan or don't do milk/cheese. This has got to be one of my absolute favorite pizza places in all of Chicagoland!! The crust is spectacular (and I'm one of those weird people who usually leave the crust on the plate -but not at Dimo's). Love the pizza by the slice but during COVID, we've been going for the full pizza options. Tonight, we did the jalapeno pop 'n lock and the Diana Ross (without mushrooms). Diana Ross was delicious but the Jalapeno pizza took the win for us - wow! Great flavors across the board. Cheesy garlic bread is always a good call (get extra marinara). To be honest, I had never thought of putting chicken and waffles or mac n' cheese on top of my pizza, but it surprisingly turned out to be a treat. This place is pretty bare bones, probably because they've gotten it down to a science and know who is walking in the door to buy their pizza. Dimo's is in the minor leagues compared to the classic deep dish giants, however, just like a night at a minor league game, you usually find something you like. I have been consistently been met with the utmost respect from their employees. They're working that ass off slingin pies and doing it with spirit. Every good Mario, Antonio, Francesca, and Margherita knows that a great Pizza must start with the right crust. We thank Dimo cause he knows this too : soft flaky flavorful crust with a little bit of char. Perfect. The sauce has consistently been fresh (red, white, green, purple, whatever.) Cheese comes excellently melted and varietally delectable. The toppings, however you chop n screw, are well selected and placed on top of the pizza for 'le slightay crispay' as the French could've possibly put it = a key detail. I was looking forward to trying this place out after watching a video on social media on their chicken and waffle pizza. My boyfriend and I went here before the Backstreet Boys/Florida Georgia Line concert at Wrigley so we wanted to check out the pizza while we were in the area. We went here on a Friday afternoon and it was crowded. There's limited seating so keep an eye out for a seat or take it to-go. There's like window seating, one giant table in the middle where you sit with other people and like two booths. Luckily, my boyfriend snagged us a booth otherwise we would've been sitting on the floor. I ordered the Mac and Cheese and Chicken Parmesan Pizza (breaded chicken, penne, mozzarella, parmesan, asiago, and parsley). My boyfriend ordered the Breakfast of Champions (scrambled eggs, chorizo, green onions, and spicy mayo) and the Margherita. For $4.50 a slice, the pizza better be good. The Chicken Parmesan Pizza was the best one out of all the pizzas that we ordered but the overall the pizza just fell flat. Literally. The crust was so thin that the toppings fell off and it was messy. Overall, the pizza was average and way too overhyped. Just to clarify this is my favorite pizza place of all time. I would eat the BBQ Bacon Chicken Ranch pizza every day for the rest of my life and when I die, I will have a Large pie scheduled to be delivered to my grave once a week just so the squirrels and birds could eat it off of me as I rest in peace (rest in pizza technically). But the customer service I experienced last night was completely disrespectful to myself (frequent buyer / rewards member / card holder) and my fellow Dimo's enthusiasts in line with me. It took forever for an associate to take our order and deliver our food because she was backed up as the result of the big red head man who was manning the cashier drunk out of his mind. I hope he does not get fired for this because he needs this job, he couldn't even afford sleeves and had to wear a cut off muscle tee (sad). This guy was on cloud 11. Came here last night to get my pizza crave on while having a late night with the release of Destiny 2. I come here way too many times to count. Their pizza is exotic as there is a wide range of different pizzas. From a classic cheese pizza to a Chicken N Waffles pizza. This is not your normal pizza joint. My go-to's are the Mac N Cheese, BBQ Chicken with ranch, Buffalo Chicken, Pepperoni, or any seasonal pizza that looks appetizing. They serve vegan zaa's, but I would skip the Vegan Mac N Cheese. It was weird...I like their crust, but sometimes you will get too much crust or worse, overburnt crust. A slice will run you $4-4.50 and I usually get 2-3 slices depending on what they have. Pro tips: grab a punch card as the 11th slice is free. Ask if they have any pizzas not shown above if they don't look appetizing as those have probably been sitting out for a long time. Dimo's is one or the best drunk food spots in Wrigleyville and is always open late. The line will be out the door at 2am and on weekends. read more

The buffalo chicken is my go-to, but everything I've had here from mac and cheese to chicken and waffles hits the spot. They always have specials and even have vegan options which is great. The price is right at just $4.50 for a large slice, and the staff here is always really cool and friendly. The environment is young and hip and the staff is too! Pizza is close to NY style, but Dimo's is in the oven longer giving their pizza more of a crunch and toasty flavor. The folks here are super nice and patient. I had a hard time figuring out what kind of pizza I wanted, and they said that they could make me something off the menu. How cool is that? How accommodating! I ordered a half pepperoni and sausage pie, and it came out in 15-20 minutes. Dimo's is located very conveniently close to Wrigley Field, and has street parking. Great little pizza place in the Wrigley area. So far I have tried the Chicken n' Waffles pizza, the Buff Chick, the Pepperoni, and the Mac. Don't worry, not all at one time. The Buff Chick was by far my favorite, as it was the most flavorful. The Mac was kind of bland, so recommend hot sauce or red chili flakes to spice it up. Chicken n' Waffles was the most surprising to me in pizza form, but it worked. The chicken was sometimes a little too hard though. Lastly, you can't go wrong with pepperoni. Been a huge Dimo's fan since moving to Chicago a few years ago. Chicago has a LOT of great pizza and in my opinion Dimo's reigns supreme (let's be honest people deep dish is over rated!). Open late so its amazing drunk, but don't get me wrong it is so good sober. To avoid going on a long rant I will just mention my top 3 slices. The Chicken n' Waffles packs in hella flavor. Covered in fried chicken, mini bites of waffle, melted butter, and honey, this slice has the ultimate combination of sweet and savory. I never thought I'd be one to go for a sweet slice but it has perfect balance and is delicious. The Buff Chick is a huge fan favorite. With fried chicken, mozz, and blue cheese topped with ranch and hot sauce, it's easily the best buffalo chicken pizza in the city. I can't remember the last movie night in with friends where we hadn't ordered Dimo's buff chick pizza to be delivered. The BBQChickenBaconCheddarRanch pizza has every topping you could possibly want on a pizza. I mean, it's all in the name, there isn't much to really talk about with this one but IMO Ranch + all your favorite pizza goodies, what more could you ask for? read more

I wish there were even more Dimo's locations than there are! In a city of great pizzas, they're unique for their crazy toppings and massive slices--and there's something about their dough that is absolutely magnificent! The Wrigley location can get pretty swamped before/after Cubs games and any weekend night (they're open super late!), so if you're going during those times, expect a wait and there's also very limited seating available--but the good thing about pizza is you don't need to be sitting down to eat it! They regularly have 10+ different types of pizza available (and they've increased their vegetarian/vegan pizza selection so there's really something for everyone) and they'll pop your slice in the oven for a few minutes to heat it up and you're good to go. Slices are $4.50 each, which is higher than I remember and definitely seems a little steep for a single slice, but they are quite large so you can probably get away with a single slice--if you can bring yourself to pick just one! The Mac and cheese is my personal favorite. Just a heads up, they offer a punch card and if you plan on visiting on a regular basis, ask for one next time you're there. Also, their brownies are delicious and after eating them for years, I just recently learned they are vegan, which blew my mind because I'm usually someone who skips the vegan desserts. Absolutely terrible customer service.I received a fully charred pizza like the ENTIRE bottom was black and literally inedible. I spoke to someone named Evan about how black the pizza was and he said he would contact Doordash. When they didn't respond or send a refund I was told instead of reordering I would have a driver sent to my house once he clocked in at 5 pm. Another hour goes by I speak to the manager who then claims I'm confused about the order location even though I spoke to that someone at that store less than an hour ago. Wasn't offered any sort of apology for the confusion of said employee and nothing was done to rectify the situation. I finally went back during the World Series games and was hanging out in Wrigleyville. I convinced a couple friends that they HAD to have their pizza. I thought one slice would make me full but I definitely needed two. I had the mac and cheese pizza. I was sad that they didn't have the smores pizza at the time.
