East Coast style thin crust pizza (plain cheese is $6 and extra sauce is $1) that you can fold to eat the top of the pizza. It was a nostalgic feeling seeing the pizza bc it looked similar to the NY and Nj pizza I am used to. And the sauce was fresh and very good. It was made with real tomatoes and you can taste the chunks. The crust was a bit flat and dense and not chewy like the ny nj pa pizza has bc of the soft water aspect. Overall it fills you up w just 1 slice and it reminds me of nyc pizza and is tasty. Plenty of seat yourself seating and no wait staff which makes it easy bc you don't have to tip. After not eating all day, this was a good place to grab a slice (or 2). I like their specialty pizza rotates every few weeks with the current one being an Italian beef slice! They have quite the variety in thin slices as well. The woodfire oven in the back really seals the deal for me. It smells great inside and instantly makes you hungry, but the workers are very friendly. The guy we spoke with said the Italian beef pizza was pretty popular and wasn't sure exactly when they'd take it off the menu. I'd revisit this place again to try their garlic knots, as they looked huuuuuge! I have stopped by a few times on the take out counter side for a slice and they have always been consistent and delicious. They always have pre made and warmed slices, so you can just stop by and grab one. The fries were made fresh and took about 5 minutes. Overall a very quick and easy experience to stop by and grab some quick delicious food. I have never dined in the restaurant but might have to try it soon! read more

I always order this one because it's loaded with top quality ingredients, fresh mozzarella, cremini mushrooms, caramelized mushrooms, basil, and flavor-packed applewood smoked bacon. Best though to eat it there, because for one, it's right out of the oven and is piping hot, even though the dining room is somewhat cramped. It also fills up rather quickly, especially at night. The pizza crust won't leave you feeling heavy or bloated, it's surprisingly satisfying, enough to keep you full without weighing you down. My friend, who was trying it for the first time, even commented on how favorful, yet filling this pizza was. They were not that busy at the time we dined. Better for pick-up food orders. $57.67 for a small thin crust gluten-free veggie & a small deep-dish veg. No beverages. Yes, dropped $ in to the TIP can. Wanted cardboard for leftovers. They have the pizza cardboard boxes already. Nope. Only the styrofoam. Most restaurants are using eco-friendly togo containers. And not plastic bags, either. Been by here a million times, probably looked at the reviews even more but couldn't quite pull the trigger. But fortunately for me, all the other places weren't delivering and this was close. We were super impressed! The artisan pizza was thin and crispy! And the pan pizza was incredible. It was slightly smaller than deep dish but had that awesome crusty edge and loads of pep and cheese. I would get this every time in the future especially if you're craving Pizza Hut style. They take PayPal and have the store very open and clean for pick up. I really like this local Pizza place, good pizza for my taste and great for a filling dinner with an ok price point. I've been going here for over a year and a half and have never had issues until recently. The cashier (who is not the one I usually see) tried to charge me $20 for a slice of thin crust pizza and a bottle of soda. And then when I asked about the price, tried to double down and then said he would make sure. Then he clicked around on the computer for 5 seconds and said the price was closer to $10. Really, really disappointing as I really like this place and would prefer to keep going back. If you go there, don't let them play games. If the price sounds wrong, call them out. No matter how many times I have been to Panino's they have not disappointed me with the quality of their pizza. I first discovered Panino's when I first moved to Lakeview a few years ago. Everyone would rave about the pizza so I had to see what the hype was about. From the first moment I tried the pizza in 2015 to 2020 the quality doesn't seem to change. The inside of the restaurant isn't that fancy, it is a step above a hole in the wall pizza spot and set up to dine-in for small groups. The staff is always courteous and welcoming. The crowd definitely differs depending on the day of the week but they always keep a nice demeanor. When you walk in they will always have a decent selection of slices from the New York style slice to the Sicilian thick crust style slice. The slices are worth every penny, some times they will cut them massive and other times they are a modest slice. Either way, they are very filling and top notch quality. No matter if I order delivery or take out the pizza has never disappointed me. This is a most try place on the North Side. read more

We ordered pickup last night and I think this will be our new go to pizza place! We started with the grilled calamari and buffalina salad. The grilled calamari was so good, and so tender. It was amazing. The salad was also delicious. Mozzarella just melted in your mouth. For pizza, we ordered the Parma (Neapolitan) and the Grandma pizza. Both were just *chefs kiss. The Parma was fresh and perfectly cooked. The Grandma was enough to feed a small army, but the sauce-to-cheese-to-dough ratio was perfect. Everyone knows there are a wealth of options for pizza in Chicago but uhh... a lot of them are terrible! Thankfully, Panino's is not one of those and it's actually amazing! They have a variety of different pizza crust options-- my favorite is the Neapolitan style but that's just my personal preference anyway; their more traditional 'Chicago' offerings are both solid too! Don't sleep on the pastas or appetizers though-- it's a huge menu and everything is really tasty. I first discovered Panino's when my friends ordered delivery but it's across the street from a nearby bar where I play trivia. I often will grab dinner here beforehand because the food is so tasty. While they are obviously designed more for takeout and delivery business, there are a few tables as well as beer and drinks if you decide to eat there. Every employee I've interacted with there is really nice! I highly recommend Panino's! One of my favorite options for pizza on the north side! read more

The man who answered the phone was very helpful helping me understand the right amount of food to order. We had thin crust pizza and Sicilian style pizza as well as the garlic knots, Cesar salad, and caprese. All were VERY good. The only critique was that the garlic knots were a little dry. Order Panino's for delivery on a stormy Friday night. Ordered a 10" In Da Pan pizza with Ham, Sausage, and Goat Cheese. The delivery was right on time with the eta that was received when placing the order. The food: The pizza was top notch! Lots of toppings! They didn't skip on the ham or sausages at all. Also had a perfect amount of goat cheese. The crust was a little soggy from the delivery, but not to the point where is wasn't enjoyable. The bosco sticks were good. If I had the option to give them 3.5 stars, I would. 3 feels too harsh, but 4 is too generous. Got a slice of their Sicilian sausage deep dish, and ate in; the top of the slice was great. Nice and cheesy, and the sausage was good. However, I felt it was pretty expensive for a single slice, and it was a little doughy on the bottom. That happens sometimes with deep dish; it wasn't terrible, just not what I expected for the money. It was within walking distance of my hotel in Wrigleyville, so I'm sure the price has a lot to do with the tourist-y area. The other side of that coin is that in those areas you have a lot of options, so I'll probably try somewhere else next time I'm in town. read more

What is not good here is that they make you pay for water. I'm pretty sure this is both illegal and is just not a good business practice when you are in such a prominent area with such intense foot traffic. Love the very very large range of Italian foods you can choose from. They have normal and deep dish pizza which is nice. The normal pizza was just okay and nothing special. They also have tons of salads, meat dishes, and pastas. We tried the baked rigitoni and stuffed shells as well which were boh good and very big portions. They also came with a piece of bread.
