Wow, this restaurant is so delicious! We walked in and got seated right away. They went over how to do. The meals even asked us if we wanted to do hot pie or the Korean barbecue. We decided to do the hot pot so we all have our own little pots to eat out of. They have a little bar in the front of the restaurant where it has all kinds of fixings and dipping items, sesame, red bean balls. So delicious. I will say that the prices are a little much, especially if you're not someone that eats a lot. And if you decide to take whatever food that you have even if it's just the broth home, you have to pay an extra $14 for it. There is no meal options for people who had gastric bypass or can't eat a lot of food at once. Other than that, it is really tasty and delicious many options even vegan ones! Let me say first, I am a Chinese person and am confused why other Chinese would come here for hotpot when there are better options in Columbus. The restaurant is very dark, even during the day. It definitely has more of a nightclub vibe. The servers were very attentive and most plates came out within two minutes That being said, it is definitely only a place I would come for lunch. I walked in, I see there is a bar area where you can sit down, have a drink and wait for your table I see that they have big table can be seated 8-10 people, or a small table can be seated 1-2 people, which is great. First time at a KPot but not our first experience with hot pot restaurants. Great selection of meats and seafood and veggies items. Super plentiful and unlimited. I'm writing this for my own reference but don't feel excluded if you're not me - these insights are for the greater good. Go during dinner hour for kbbq. The only cuts of meats you need to order are the regular pork belly and the Angus. Just over and over again. Plus veggies and a bowl of rice obviously. Dip in sauce concocted from free sauce bar. Steer clear of marinated meat and seafood options as those are just way too salty. While Kpot's fried foods look dry and stale, the offerings are surprisingly warm and tasty. I recommend their fried chicken to whet your appetite (juicy) and their sesame balls for dessert (sweet finisher). Overall, love coming to Kpot if I know I'm going to eat a lot! Service is very friendly, frequently replacing grills and checking in for additional orders. I came here for the first time with my husband for New Year's Day. They were serving dinner all day given the holiday. We were able to get a table very quickly and also greeted by our server. We've been to Korean barbecue at a couple of other places, but it was our first time coming here. We felt like they had a more limited menu in terms of meat, appetizer, sauces and side options. As for the actual meat itself, it was very tasty. Our favorite was the spicy beef, Bulgogi. Probably try somewhere else next time. Our first time trying Korean Barbeque led us here! I've only heard great things and I've always wanted to try it. My husband and I both ordered the KBBQ. Even though we came here on a Saturday night, we were able to get seated right away. Our server was knowledgeable and walked us through the process. We each got to pick two meats and as many veggies as we wanted. Our server then brought everything out on a cart to our table. There was also a station we could use to build our own sauces and have a few appetizers and desserts. A lot of the meat was certainly on the fattier side, but I wouldn't say it was bad. There were a lot of seating options. Since you cook your own food, the place was very warm and smoky. There were times where I would cough because of the smoke from our grill and other grills. Overall we definitely got our money's worth just with the meat alone! We wished there were more vegetable options, as we are kinda picky with that, but it was a great experience! This was a great intro to Korean and Hot Pot. It's all you can eat, set price for adults and kids. $30+ I believe. The entire table must pick, BBQ, Hot Pot or both. We chose both and I will warn you the start of ordering is a little frantic while you digest the menu. It's basically a buffet they deliver to your table so deciding what you want, can be a bit daunting. Our server was great and always erred on the side of conservative quantity to avoid food waste (also its $14/lb for food waste likely for egregious diners). For Hot Pot we did miso, vegetable, and Szechwan (more oil than broth). And chose ramen, pho rice noodle, fish cakes, veggies, and meats to sink into the hot broth. I also tried crawfish which were great and large, ended up ordering a second round of them. For BBQ, we did tradition Bul Gogi (pork) and spicy Bul Gogi (very good), short rib, zucchini, and pineapple all great on the grill. Now you have to tend the grill yourself, so make sure someone is paying attention. Many Korean restaurants offer the server checking your cooking, so kind of missed that. Great to order lettuce so that your BBQ can be wrapped in a lettuce wrap, topped with kimchi and sauce and the whole hot saucy mess can be eaten! For Banchan or basically appetizers or accompaniments to the meal, Korean restaurants shine, usually 1000 little bowls with bean sprouts, kimchi, pickled radish and other items are placed on your table. At KPOT there is a salad bar, and offerings of 3. So a bit of a disappointment, but again, great point of entry if you are new to this dining. They also did not have traditional Korean Beer, Cloud or Cass brands....like how? We got a pitcher of Kirin. We also ordered Soju, which has 1000 flavors but not the traditional "regular" flavor. We settled on "yogurt" which sounds off, but was very good. Soju is a kind of rice vodka, its about 10-12% alcohol. So it can come up and bite you. Overall, a great restaurant, my kids 8+10 also enjoyed the meal and are asking to go back. Great for a group, ours had 8 people. Really fun time. Would come back for group dining again. read more

This was an EVENT - so plan accordingly. The high altitude perspective on this place is it was a bit overwhelming for someone who had never ordered this style food before. Family-style-ish with so many options for vegetables, meats, sides, etc... very much a choose your own adventure and I think that's my biggest recommendation: if it sounds intriguing, try it! Even if it's tripe :) Major highlights for us were the shrimp dumplings, fried tofu, squid (the way it curls up in the soup is soooooo enticing LOL), mushrooms, udon noodles, and prime rib. Oh... and the peanut sauce is a MUST. Don't forget the desserts! See what I mean?! So much to think about and budget out for. Overall, for an all-you-can-eat style meal, this was fairly affordable. You are paying for the experience of cooking alongside friends/family and trying something unique - and some of what you might make will suck, but that is by no means the restaurants fault. Try it all - there's literally no penalty - which adds to the experience just that much more. Our waiter was super flexible on the whole "if you don't eat it, you'll pay extra for your leftovers" policy they say exists on the menu which I appreciated. She gave great recommendations and guidance as well. f I could eat KPot every day.. I would. First off, I love that you can either do hot pot or the bbq or combination. I always do both because how can you ever resist beef bulgogi. All of my family and friends agree the beef bulgogi that you grill is hands down the best item you can order. The short rib is also delicious. I personally love spice so the Szechuan Soup base is my favorite. I load my soup with fresh vegetables and tofu and it is sooo tasty. I like to pair my food with a peanut based sauce that I make at the sauce and appetizers bar. The restaurant is very large and usually am able to get into without having to wait. The staff is so kind and they are very efficient with changing out grills and making sure you're getting everything you want. My first visit to KPOT all you can eat Korean BBQ was better than expected. When I think of all you can eat venues, I tend to expect the quality of the meat to be low. All the different items I tried at KPOT including their beef, pork, and seafood selections were surprisingly high quality! I was especially a fan of the KPOT steak, the beef short ribs, the beef tongue, pork belly, and the marinated octopus. Our server was very nice and amazingly fast at bringing out new orders of meat. On the flip side, the heat setting for the grill top is too low. The meat cooks too slow at the default setting set by the restaurant. You're able to manually adjust the heat up higher but a store staff will always come when you're not looking and turn the heat back down. I suppose that's their way of making sure we can't eat too much, since the all you can eat meal comes with a time limit. Overall though, I really enjoyed my visit to KPOT and will be back again! read more

One of the few AYCE kbbq locations in Columbus! It's located off bethel road in a convent parking plaza! Spacious inside with lots of seating. They have okay ventilation, but still be prepared to come home smelling like kbbq haha. Staff is very kind but service has always been kind of slow for me. I've always had to spend like 2-3 mins trying to flag someone down for help... or maybe I'm just always there when it's busy? Food is decent. Good for an ayce place because they have plenty of options from meats to veggies and event a side dish bar! Just know that you're getting what you paid for, so the quality of the meats won't be as good as Gogi and etc. Overall, experience was good and food was tasty. We make our own hot pot at home so we stuck to the K-BBQ, and it was much better than I would have expected. The short ribs were my favorite followed by the spicy pork belly. This could be the most interesting and unique Korean bbq I've seen. We were in search of the cities best dim sum. The appeal of this stop was too much and we had to sit and explore. A grill and warming plates at every table. We had a large party, some classic bbq fans, some just wanting a hot pot. The size of the menu spun our heads. But these good folks were kind enough to guide us. I believe Mina was the star of the show. With an AYCE, the temptation is to grab it all. Take care in NOT leaving too much raw food, there could be additional charges. Highlights include the Peachy Sangria or the Kirin Ichiban. No one adventurous enough to try the sake this early in the day. You can't go wrong with the Hot Pot featuring Cuttlefish Balls, Squid, Baby Octopus or the Quail Eggs. I wasn't a fan of the Lobster Balls or the crab meat. But a couple of the Korean bbq-ers devoured that and more. A couple of thumbs up for the Beef Bulgogi and the Spicy Calamari. The restaurant is very large, with numerous hot pot and BBQ stations. Diners have the option to choose between BBQ and hot pot. There is an additional fee if the table opts for both options. We decided to go with hot pot. This was my first time trying this style. I opted for the miso broth, which had a good, mild flavor. My group ordered a lot of different meats and other ingredients. It was a bit chaotic as the ingredients arrived sporadically and it wasn't alway easy to identify the different items. The other negative is the price. It is all you can eat but $28 is more than I typically spend on a meal. They also did not have beer, though they were listed on the menu. Once for dinner on a Friday at 6:45pm (1hr wait) and once on a Friday for lunch when they opened at noon (no wait) My favorite is the mushroom broth for hotpot! MUST ORDER: quail eggs, lotus root, daikon, watercress, beef belly, prime brisket, soft tofu, napa, vermicelli, shiitake mushrooms, rice, bean sprouts, crown daisy, broccoli... My friend ordered the seaweed and said it was not good. Very "ocean tasting." They also got the gyoza and shrimp shumai and said they were good but I didn't try them. When I went for dinner we added the korean bbq and I liked the Kpot steak. They were out of a few things but didn't really matter. I like that you can make your own sauce. I love Korean food in general, and all you can eat Korean food? You're not gonna keep me away. As soon as it opened, I made plans to go, and met my friend here. We went at lunch, so it's a little cheaper, and we just got the barbecue, not hot pot. You can get both for a small surcharge, and the dinner is a bit more expensive but they have more items. Everybody at the table has to get the same thing. We were there for the meat. In fact, we actually did not order any vegetables the whole time. But I'm sure they were good too... The meat was very very good. Fresh, tasty, not needing sauce in most cases. We tried just about everything they offer at lunch. Shrimp, calamari, assorted pork belly, brisket, different kinds of bulgogi, chicken, etc. Each one was good. My favorite was probably the pork belly. There were several varieties - plain, garlic, spicy. My friend liked the shrimp. They were pretty big, and fresh. We will come back at dinner for some of the other options, like short rib and jumbo shrimp, etc. Service was great. Our server, Wonderful, lived up to his name. Kept checking on us, changed out the grill partway through, etc. They were about half full at lunchtime on a weekday, mostly of Korean customers which I took as a good sign.
