I was there around 6 pm and I waited for the girl to clean up the floor in the back area. There was no making me know she would be right with me, and then she got up and walked to the register for my order. She seemed like she really didn't want to be there. She took my order and then I kept thinking she would wash her hands since she was just wiping up the floor, but she didn't. As she took the cup from stack her hand touched the rim of my cup. I had ordered a Tai Tea no Boba. The rest of the time she didn't touch my the rim of my cup. But I did see how she was touching the milk carton and the handle of the Tea, and thought how the next person would touch it and it would be dirty. I have worked making Juices and know that is not acceptable and needed you to know that and anyone else will be on the lookout. My tea tasted good, this was my second time there. read more

Got the regular size Okinawa milk tea with boba and lychee yakult. Both with less ice, the milk tea was 1/2 sweet, yakult had no added sweeteners. Prices pretty reasonably. I've been numerous times with my daughter but today was the best. We came around lunch time on a weekday. My older brother is sensitive to sugar and Niko was extremely helpful in letting us know which drinks had the least amount of sugar and how we can further decrease the sugar. He even went as far as looking at the fruit teas to check the grams of sugar. He was kind, patient and SO helpful. My daughter and I both agree that out of all the employees there he seemed to be the least "stressed" and has a calm demeanor. As far drinks are concerned, this place never disappoints. Ding Tea Carlsbad is the spot for boba in Carlsbad. Their employees are super friendly. This place always does great business as their boba is fresh regardless of when I go. The fact that they are making fresh boba all of the time is proof of the foot traffic in their store always being high. read more

Daughter wanted ding tea and this was our first time at this location. Free private parking lot in front. Lots of drinks to choose from teas, slushes, coffees, fruit drinks. They have a top 10 menu if you're unsure what to chose. I think you can even chose your sugar level- I thought I saw a sign but don't recall being asked. Forgot to take photo of it. I did the mango slush with boba and mango jellies. I think my daughter did the winter melon and husband got coffee. It was weird tho cos I'm used to just having the regular dark boba, which my daughter got and mine was the crystal boba which I didn't want. Also my mango slush wasn't as sweet as I wanted it, maybe cos I'm used to a snow bubble- probably should've asked to mix Yakult with it. Anyways it's all preference. Growing up as an Asian immigrant in Carlsbad, I've always wondered and hoped that this town would become more Asian one day. Lo and behold - there is now FINALLY a boba shop that seems legit within short driving distance from my parents' house, so of course I had to try it out when I visited during Thanksgiving! I was SO delighted to find that they use real milk in their drinks (YAY). I got a jasmine green tea latte with boba (my usual/one of my favorites) and really enjoyed the drink! I like this location because the menu is extensive and their boba tastes fresh. I've had Ding Tea in other locations and always seem to be disappointed in how the boba tastes not...fresh. I took the kids here this past weekend after walking around the mall to get some stuff and run some errands and they had a hard time deciding what to order. I have ordered here at different times, placed delivery orders, and etc and every single time it has tasted amazing! Never once did I have super hard boba or too sweet tea or any weird after taste. Consistency is the name of the game and all that work here know how to make everything the perfect amount of sweet and delicious. Of all the ones in Oceanside I will always come to this one because it's always been consistent and hits the spot when you're in the mood for some. Can't get enough of their boba. Their Taro milk tea is my fave! I seriously finish it within a minute of receiving it, it's so good and creamy! My kids are all over the place with what they like from here but they have all of the traditional boba drinks you see everywhere except theirs are creamier, richer, always more delicious! The interior is small, a couple spots to sit. If you're going with a larger group just plan on grabbing your drinks and make your way to the shoppes right down the street to enjoy your drink and walk around the mall. I love Ding and am so happy they're in Carlsbad! These are the same owners as the Oceanside Ding, so really hoping they bring over their bubble waffles here soon. My kids love them! The menu is reliably delicious, all the combos are fantastic. My fav is plain green tea with grass jelly AND boba, if I'm feeling crazy. Thank goodness one opened by my place! It was sad that R&B Tea House didn't survive at the mall nearby, so hopefully Ding Tea survives. I'm hopeful. I got their signature milk tea with 75% sugar and added boba, grass jelly and cheese foam. They sure are generous on the boba. Usually I drink it and there's no boba at the end, but I was happy there was still boba. The milk tea wasn't too milky or sweet (due to less sugar request) so they made it right! The cheese cream was good, except my one complaint is the cup. They don't have the cups with the lid where you have an opening hole to drink the cheese cream, this one they seal it so it's harder to even get a sip of that cheese foam. I ended up ripping the top and using my straw to get the cream. It did taste good though. Wish they upgrade to the better cups for drinks with creams. Also, each additional topping is 65¢. Didn't see a special with boba included like many other boba places. Overall a good addition and would come back for boba cravings. read more

NEWEST BOBA SHOP IN CARLSBAD! This is one of the handful of new boba shops that have popped up in North County and specifically Carlsbad, but it is a well known boba shop in other areas of SoCal. This location has a modern design with lots of sunlight, big windows, and wooden bar stools to sit on! Only note is that it is on the smaller side compared to many other boba shops. Stopped in for the pistachio frappe. I'm glad I was told about it beforehand because the menu is huge and I couldn't find it anywhere! After mentioning how completely disappointed I was by the pistachio Frappuccino at Starbies, a friend recommend Ding Tea's pistachio frappe. All I can say is, WOW! So good! They blend actual pistachio nuts in with the frappe. This was my first visit to Ding Tea and, with the extensive menu and delicious frappe, I'm sure I'll be back to try more. My family and I were craving boba, luckily this location was open. We thought it may not be since it's Thanksgiving morning. The barista was nice and patient while all five of us were ordering. The store itself is very clean, they have cute decor. There's a nice wood countertop with high chairs to sit on by the window. There's also plenty of boba plushies, holder, and keychains at the counter. There are several drink varieties listed on a chalkboard written signage outside the doors with fun options.
