Stopped by after getting a massage! Got a large monster milk tea with boba! It was perfect, not too sweet and the boba was just the right consistency! Don't you hate it was there's a hard bit inside-- YUCK. It wasn't like that here! So chewy and pillowy soft. There wasn't a lot of seats inside, just a few bar seating at the window and looks like everyone was just waiting around for their bobas and not hanging around. Another great addition to the area. This location is smaller than the one on Oceanside and Vista. There is a lot of parking since it does share with other stores. Hopefully it does well in the area. We are blessed yet again with another Ding Tea location! Ding Tea has been an original favorite of mine ever since they've established themselves in the San Diego region, and they remain one of my go-to spots! Ding Tea Carlsbad is no different in terms of variety, customer service, and of course, delicious drinks! - PARKING - Plenty of parking as it sits in a shopping plaza with other businesses. - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - Definitely smaller than most Ding Teas I've been to, with small walking room and just a few window counter seats if you plan to lounge around. They have aesthetic signs and decor for you to snap a photo of your drink with, which is always fun at boba shops. Staff is extremely friendly and patient, and also helped me decide what drinks to get. They create the drinks as fast as they can, with their generally small sized staff with only 2-3 people at a time. - DRINKS - Creme Brulee Oreo Milk Tea: Their Signature Milk Tea with Oreo and Creme Brulee - if that doesn't sound good to you from the description, I can guarantee you'll think it's delicious after taking just a sip. Super creamy and delicious when mixed together! Oreo Fantasy: Milk tea not quite up your alley? Then try out Oreo Fantasy which has Taro blended with Oreo and Cheese Cream. Similar creamy and decadent flavor, but with Taro instead of Milk Tea! Mango Matcha: Some places have this menu item as well, but often it's too much Matcha, or too much Mango - here at Ding Tea Carlsbad, there's a great balance between the two flavors! Ocean's Dream: If you're not a huge fan of thick or milky drinks, Ocean's Dream is a wonderful option that uses Lychee Yakult and Butterfly Pea Tea. So, I ordered a large strawberry oreo frappe with oat milk. I didn't ask for boba, but I got charged it...and although he did ask in the middle of making it, I said I'd try it anyway. But the texture is unbearable! It's way too chewy and difficult to swallow. This is why I usually don't get any boba because you never know when it'll be fresh. Like another reviewer said, it tastes rubbery. (I came in before noon.) The flavor is fine, but the pistachio matcha and pistachio oreo frappes were more to my liking. They got broken into, so they're only taking card transactions for now is what the sign in the front said. It wasn't busy, but I felt rushed. The Oceanside location is better in terms of atmosphere because at this Carlsbad one, there's not really any space to sit down and study or chat with a friend. read more

I always thought it was a bit dramatic when people would say something on here like "if possible, I would give ZERO stars, I would." Today I can share that statement and all of the irritation that goes with it. Words cannot express the disgust and anger I experienced today at their Grand Opening. I was so excited to have location close to my place. It is a shame I will never be back. I will NOT return to this location again and most likely wilL NOT visit another location of theirs. Please look at the flyer they shared on Social Media. To me (and others, as stated on their Instagram post) it appears that the first 100 customers would get a free drink. When the doors opened I overheard the employee who appeared to be Caucasian bark at the employees (who all looked Asian) that they were going to be really busy today let's not have any mistakes or something like that. It felt inappropriate and not very welcoming. When it was my turn to place my order I told her I was there for the free drink. She quickly responded that it was BOGO. And that I needed to purchase a drink. Then she loudly snapped at me BOGO means buy one get one free. I snapped right back and said I knew what BOGO meant. She put her handles up all dramatically and acted so offended and like I was the problem. I cannot tolerate disrespect from someone younger than me and some one who should be serving me and others who were there 30-40 min early waiting in line. I wanted to run out of there as fast I could since she really bothered me. I had to bite my tongue off since I had already spend a good amount of time waiting out there in the cold. I was not planning to get two drinks since I was alone and no one else in my family enjoys boba. There is NO way I would stay in line for that long on my day off for BOGO. I asked her to put no boba in one drink and she ignored my request blatantly. All your employee was serving was attitude and bad vibes. Zero empathy at all or customer service. When I got my drinks, I tried explain it to another employee the confusion and she mirrored the message. However, she was calm and normal about it. She also offered me a Boba Pin which was very nice of her to do. Maybe the cashier should take a lesson from her co-workers. The store did reach out on Instagram with kind words and a free drink which I REFUSED appreciate the offer and message. read more

If you think all Thai tea are created equal you are wrong. Honestly not even all ding teas are created equal but this location will not let you down ! While almost all of the staff members are chill guys and gals who know how to make great drinks one team member that always goes above and beyond is Dom. He could be working alone with 6 people waiting and he still manages to make amazing drinks with a great attitude and smile. When i first started coming here I wanted to try something different every time I came but had no idea where to start other than Thai and Matcha tea the options are limitless here. Thank God for Dom he asked what flavors I was feeling and recommended drinks that never let down. He could also explain the flavor profiles of all the drinks I had never heard of and he did so with great customer service I thought about poaching him to come work for me! Prices are great drinks are great music is great vibes all around. First off, the cashier was so sweet and nice. I wish I got her name because her customer service was awesome. I tried the guava milk tea to try something new. If you like guava, you'll enjoy this one. I could really taste the guava and it didn't taste artificial at all, only fresh! It's heavenly. The golden boba is yummy. Staff is a bit salty, but perfectly helpful. Ambience is bleh, but who cares- we are there for the boba! I drove here I was informed they were closed today at 5:55pm. I called ahead the guy working informed me they close at 6pm. Horrible customer service not shocked as they didn't want to take cash on a previous visit since it was close to closing time. I'm assuming they must of pre counted their till! My husband and I ordered a Monster Boba Latte and it was delicious! The drink we had a problem with was the Mango Yakult/Yogurt. I don't know if it's because I asked for it blended, but it tasted like tap water. It was more of a mango slushy and none of that Yakult taste. I'm soaking up every sip while it's in season, and although I'll be sad when it's gone, I know they'll surprise me with something amazing next season. Their food is just as impressive. The toast is delicious, they use Prager Brothers bread, organic avocado, and fresh tomatoes, and you can really taste the difference that quality ingredients make. It's refreshing to find a café that clearly cares about food integrity. Another huge bonus for me is that they offer almond milk. So many coffee shops default to oat milk, but I appreciate having another option that fits my preferences. The only downside is the parking. My strategy is simple: go early if you can. Once it gets busy, finding a spot can be an adventure. But even with that minor inconvenience, Revolution Roasters is absolutely worth the trip. My total cost was $12.00. This Gold Coast Coffee Shop Is located inside the Westfield Shopping Center Mall in the corner on the second floor across from the J. C. Penny's Department Store. When I was walking towards the front entrance to the Gold Coast Coffee Shop last night , I could smell the aroma of a flavored Iced Frappuccino being made in a blender and being served for one of their customers. I received helpful advice on the different kinds of flavored Coffee Drinks, Chai Teas, Coffee Lattes, and different varieties on the Flavored Cold Frappuccinos that were on their menu board last night. The Gold Coast Coffee Shop also serves really delicious pastries I was staring at these pastries in their clear display case last night. I noticed their breakfast pastries were Strawberry Cream Cheese, Blueberry Cream Cheese, Chocolate, Cinnamon with a white cream cheese icing that was drizzled on top on every one if these yummy looking desserts. The younger woman employee told me she has been working for this Gold Coast Coffee Shop for one year now and she does enjoy working for her manager because she is very respectful and will coordinate with her college schedule. I enjoyed my first time experience drinking their really refreshing and very decadent White Chocolate Frappuccino with the added Whipped Cream Topping. And especially trying one of their very popular and New Albacore Tuna Panini Sandwiches. I told the woman employee that I will come back again when I am shopping at this Carlsbad Westfield Shopping Center Mall soon and rider a new flavor. I received excellent customer service and really delicious flavored FrappuccinoCoffee. This Frappuccino was lightly sweetened. I highly recommend this Gold Coast Coffee Shop.

My friend ordered a sandwich that honestly looked much better than my meal, so I would probably try one of the sandwiches or wraps if I come back. The biggest downside was the price. My salad and latte came out to about $22, and there was also a 3.5% convenience fee. For the quality of the salad, it did not feel like a great value. I went to the counter and asked if I had been forgotten. 2 of the employees got to work on my order. The only young woman working there was on her phone and handling food with the same gloves. I said excuse me, to her and pointed out that she had been on her phone and handled food in without getting new gloves. She looked at me and said, "So do you want me to change my gloves?" I replied "yes, it's a sanitation issue. I have worked in the industry and taught restaurant management." She changed gloves, cut off the edges of the Taiyaki waffle she had touched with the other gloves, finished my dish, and slid my finished dish across the counter. She said nothing as she slid the dish of taiyaki towards me, and turned and walked away from the counter. The restaurant had an "A" rating, but the cross contamination issue of handling personal phone and food with the same gloves, is not "A" rating behavior. It was close to closing and I do understand that it was getting late. It is still very disappointing. The restaurant did appear to be clean in the customer area. As I watched all 3 employees, the gentlemen working showed safe and sanitary work behaviors. I hope this cross contamination behavior by the female employee gets corrected.
