The way Link made my drink, with his muscular arms and beautiful figure, reinvigorated me. I stopped believing in love years ago, but he gave me reasons to have hope again. He made wish my name was Zelda because I'd let him rescue me any day of the week. Lian called me and my sister cute and that made both of our days. I came here at night and it's a nice hangout place. It wasn't crowded and very chill when I came. I was able to do work while drinking my boba. I ordered the Chocolate Milk Tea with Egg Pudding. This is my first time ordering chocolate milk tea and it's not that bad. It was really refreshing for this hot night. After we ate at Nguyen's kitchen, we are all craving a boba. As I search in this app, I stumbled this Ding tea. There is a lot of good reviews so we went there. Then we saw a line and a lot of people waiting inside to get their drink. So we patiently waited to get our orders (monsters, strawberry yakult, taro). This bubble tea is worth the wait. So glad there is another boba shop other than Tastea and 7 leaves close to home! I've gone to other Ding Teas but decided to visit this new location today during their soft opening. I got the usual: jasmine green milk tea with crystal boba. SO GOOD! Perfect amount of creaminess and sweetness. There is something about the crystal boba that makes this drink taste better. Probably the best boba tea location I've ever been in my life. The staffs are very friendly and quick with service. I got Taro milk tea with golden boba (their boba is special. Much tastier than others), and also got a honey green milk tea. You can adjust ice and sweetness. I got normal sweetness and less ice. It was super good, esp the Taro. They used to give out stamps but now changed to phone number based reward program. You can bring the old stamp card to convert into points. Definitely recommended!! read more

I've stood by 7 Leaves as my go-to for tea and boba in OC but Ding Tea - Costa Mesa is a close second. With the grand opening of Ding Tea they're certainly still smoothing things out for the busy service, which is understandable for any new business. However a lot of my friends drinks were not made correctly, they forgot to add the creamer for the milk tea or missed the crystal boba instead of the regular boba. For me though, I definitely do not hold it against them since they were happy to fix our order and did it immediately. As for the signature milk tea, I went with half sugar and 30% ice and it was way better than expected. The signature milk tea had a strong taste and just the right amount of sweetness for me. I tried a little bit of the crystal boba and it's pretty unique that you have to try for yourself even though it is an extra .75 cents. Ding tea has a large variety of tea choices without going overboard on the artificial syrups or sweeteners. I think once this location gets more training with the ordering process Ding Tea - Costa Mesa will be successful. read more

I'm not a fan of nondairy creamer. They tend to taste artificial or too tasty. which is another sign of chemicals. Asked for oolong milk tea with grass jelly half sugar. Wanted real dairy milk. The girls don't speak Chinese, They are Vietnamese. Very disappointed with the drink itself. The oolong tea is very bad quality tea, the tea is a flat bitter in a tannic way (not in the good way), and there is the caramel something aftertaste. It tasted awful to me. The dairy milk does not taste like dairy at all. It tasted like water. Wasted my $4.60 ! The place is nice though, nice and neat looking with some seats. Just was not a fan of the tea. read more

Very disappointed in this ding tea. I have gone to the one in garden grove many times and was excited they were opening one near me when I moved to Costa Mesa. The first time I went last week, they gave me the wrong order. I ordered a strawberry milk tea with egg pudding ... but got a winter melon milk tea with boba. That was my bad for not checking before leaving. Today I ordered a strawberry milk tea with slight ice and slight sugar ... didn't know it was going to be slight on the milk too. Tastes like straight strawberry syrup . My boyfriends peach milk tea tastes like peach and water. Will give this place one more chance and hopefully they can redeem themselves. Update: Went back and tried the coffee milk tea. Sort of heavy on the coffee but was do-able. Better when watered down. read more

We noticed this place across Ice Cubes ice cream place last time and came to try out the golden boba that they are famous for. We had a lychee milk tea with half the sugar. The tea was quite sweet even with half sugar and the golden boba was good but the quantity of boba is quite less compared to other places. Interiors were modern and clean. People that came in 5 min after me where getting their drink before me ... just a little disappointed . I had to ask one of the workers if they could make my drink cause it had already been 15 min . We went here a little after they opened. We ordered a matcha milk tea with no add ons and a wintermelon tea with boba. They made both drinks with boba which was no issue and I asked them to remake it without boba. But they just poured out the matcha milk tea into another cup to try and sift out the boba but some still transferred over. They gave me the drink and filled the rest with water and ice to make up for the drink that was lost which made the drink super watered down. We went back to ask them to remake it a 3rd time and there was a new worker that made it for us without an issue. It was frustrating how the first two worker had to "make" it twice and was too lazy to do it correctly the first time two times. I don't think we'll go back to this location read more

Used to come here when I first moved to Costa Mesa back in 2019 and was addicted to their Wintermelon Milk Tea and their Yogurt/ Yakult drinks. I decided to visit on National Boba day back in April, the staff wasn't that welcoming and the boba was undercooked. I got a wintermelon milk tea and it tasted so different to me compared to when I first moved here. Quality went down a lot. Wish they had a more friendlier staff as well. read more

Parking is very easy; lots of parking spaces in the plaza. The vibe of the place is great. Great drinks but definitely the best boba hands down in my opinion! Their boba is super chewy, fresh and sweet, just how I like it. For the drinks, I usually like to have a strong tea flavor but Ding Tea makes their drinks with a nice strong fruity flavor which is also nice on the occasion - I enjoy the passionfruit especially. read more

I came here for the circle k fundraiser and I was honestly SO impressed by the efficiency of the workers. It was a huge rush for only three workers but my drinks (strawberry peach green tea and hokkaido oolong milk tea) came out in like 2 minutes TOPS. The girl at the register was super sweet and didn't rush me in picking out my drink either, the menu is so large and she actually recommended I mix strawberry and peach together. Great customer service. My drinks came out nicely. Boba was great, chewy and not hard at all. I haven't been to any of the other locations, so I can't compare to those, but after my old favorite milk tea place shut down, I've been hunting for a milk tea fix that I haven't been able to satisfy until now. I've been twice for their signature milk tea. The first time I got it as-is, and the second time with reduced sweetness (I like to taste the tea flavor more than the sugar) and both have been great with a nice balance and texture - not too syrupy or creamy - and just enough ice to keep it cold without leaving me with a cup full of ice after drinking. My husband gets their coffee drinks and hasn't been disappointed either. Now if they would just add a Hong Kong style milk tea to their menu I wouldn't need to go anywhere else. read more

I've tried three other Ding Teas in different cities and had the best experience for all of them (service wise and taste wise). But this location made me feel uncomfortable and I felt so sick after drinking not even half of the remade milk tea. I felt like throwing up. My friends and I ordered iced oolong milk tea, and signature milk tea today. The signature milk tea came out first and it tasted very watered down and bland, to the point that it tasted like water with no tea taste. It was the same for the oolong milk tea so we asked for both milk teas to be remade. Again, it tasted so..bland and bad. The workers were nice to remake them and smiling upfront but as soon as my friends turned away, I saw the workers glancing at each other and giving dirty looks. I was in disbelief and was upset. We left in haste due to an urgent business meeting but never again will I ever come to this location. I ended up throwing my milk tea away.
