If you've been to other franchises, you'll notice that drinks are made way too sweet than what it supposed to be (e.g Bolsa, Anaheim, etc) (even when you ask for 50% or even 25% of sweetness). But here I never had any bad experience Not sure that has something to do with training or management but, they keep the way it is with what said on the menu, and follow your order If it's a flavored tea, you can taste the flavor more than the sweetness; if you order a latte, it should taste lighter than a powder milk tea And even you ask for 50% sweetness, you won't feel like they add more water or adding more ice to keep it less sweet I'm a fan of Hokkaido black milk tea and I can still taste the bitterness of black tea, which is slighly different than a oolong tea usually I order 3 or more drinks so I can enjoy it a day later, and they are still "fresh"!!! The employees can be a little better they tend you do decorating during business times which mean they climb right next to you to put something which scares me a little because one of them almost fell on my friend and they should do this before they open or after they close so you don't hurt a customer other then that can't blame them my employees are young and worst I'm younger then them but I understand when your young you want things done and have fun with your friends. Other then that it's a decent place if your close to them oh and remind the employees for happy hour sometimes they forget because the POS system they run doesn't automatically do it for them. read more

Today was my first time trying out this location. I was excited to get my daily dose of boba and went to my favorite, go-to boba chain: Ding Tea. Unfortunately, I left highly disappointed with not only my drink but also customer service. We came in on a Sunday night, and ordered the Matcha Milk Tea, Jasmine Green Tea, Honey Milk Tea, and WinterMelon Milk Tea. The Honey and WinterMelon drinks were okay, but didn't taste as great as the Garden Grove and Bolsa locations. As for the others... *Matcha Milk Tea: incredibly watery and powdery, did not taste like milk tea at all *Jasmine Green Milk Tea: got our order wrong, wayyy too milky and creamy, couldn't taste the tea Their customer service was not that great either. The guy who rang us up got my cousin's order wrong. She ordered a Jasmine Green Tea with Sea Cream, but they made her drink into a milk tea instead. They also ran out of golden boba, and we were suggested to try crystal boba, saying that crystal boba and golden boba tasted the exact same. On contrary, the boba did NOT taste the same. They were very different textures and my little cousin did not like it, so we asked them to change the toppings. They agreed to remake the drink but were very passive aggressive about it, telling us that we should have asked to try the crystal boba before we had ordered it. They seemed very bothered, and we felt as if they were trying to blame us for it. **NOTE: We were never asked if we wanted to try the crystal boba beforehand** On a better note, they did let us have the defected drink, and had a nice promotion where there were free upgrades to a large, but other than that, my experience here was not that great. I am a huge fan of Ding Tea, and it was unfortunate that this location left me disappointed. I probably won't be returning to their location, and will be picking up my drinks at the Garden Grove and Bolsa locations instead. read more

My friend and I ordered the Brown Sugar Milk Tea, and it tasted like they used old milk. In addition, they didn't even add sugar or caramel, like it is SUPPOSED to have, and they also were cheap with the boba. I've gotten this same drink at the Bolsa and Fountain Valley location, so I knew that something was definitely off. When we were finished, we were trying to find the trash can, only to find out it was located outside. What kind of establishment has the only trash can outside? Not to mention this area is pretty sketch, so wouldn't you rather have your customers be more comfortable throwing their trash inside? Workers could also be nicer. I love their decorations, and the workers wearing the traditional dresses for Lunar New Year was a nice touch. When it comes to Ding Tea, they are one of my favorite brand, but today I was extremely disappointed. My gf and I went to order the same type of drinks everyday and we usually get the Monster bobo latte. The drinks come with golden boba, so I asked to have an add on of crystal boba in it. So typically it supposed to have two type of boba in the drink. But they messed up on the drinks 3 times. The owner messaged and offered us 5 free drinks in order for us to return and enjoy the experiences again. So today I came in and decided to get a different drinks because I thought that it would be better for both sides since maybe the Monster Bobo Latte had created so much confusion. I ordered a Winter Melon Tea with crystal boba and they gave me Winter Melon Milk Tea. Even on the receipt the cashier was punching it in correctly but they still messed up on the drinks. I could have easily get my free drinks but I respected the business and feel guilty for doing that. Which is the reason why I came back and give it a second chance. But again today I was extremely frustrated because they mess up my drinks again. When I walked in, it was not even busy. If I can hear barista sing his or her favorite songs in the background then I am pretty sure it was not rush hour. The business can keep the refund and I hope they doing good with their business in the future. For people that reading this, hopefully you double check your drinks and test it before you leave the place or eventually it will happen to you too! read more

For example, went here for 4th of july weekend where they had free upgrade special. This is the only Ding Tea I continue to go to ever since it opened. Would refer all my friends & family here. Their signature mt is made exactly how I like it without having to make any of my own adjustments. One time I ordered a few drinks including a Jasmine green mt with egg pudding & grass jelly for myself. The girl that handed me my drinks didn't smile or greet me with a "thanks" or anything. But it's alright, I can understand if she's having an off day/moment. I noticed in my car that my drink was missing the egg pudding. I stuck my straw in it to swirl around and make sure it wasn't just blending in with the drink. I brought it in and notified the guy at the register. He seemed nice about it & turned away to let the same girl from earlier know. I guess she's the one that made my drinks. I waited for her to finish handing out another customer's order and then handed her my cup. This time she asked me in a snarky tone "So you wanted egg pudding with it?" I just nodded but was thinking "Well yes, that's why I paid for it which is clearly stated so on the label" It's not like I decided just now to add it in. To the young girl, perhaps you didn't mean for it to come out that way, but please practice your customer service skills. Next time try saying "I apologize & will fix that right now" 1. It is not my fault you forgot a topping & I should not have to feel like I'm burdening you to correct my drink. 2. If you cannot fake a smile, you should definitely not be the one to greet customers/hand out drinks. Drink quality is important but bad customer service can still drive business away. I always tip at least 10% & even more if I am making many adjustments on my drinks. So please be more aware that if that's the attitude you want to give off to customers, then the tips you get will most definitely reflect that. read more

This spot is the place to go if you just want a good boba fix. I'm not into the fancy or weird flavor drinks, all I need is a decent taiwanese style milk tea and lots of crystal boba. Their signature milk tea and hokkaido black milk tea is a must! Good and quick customer service. Larger space than the one on garden grove and usually not crowded, 2 blocks away from my house, which is a huge plus for me, I dont like places that always fully packed. I've always been a big fan of ding tea. I happened to be close by to this location so I ordered online as I was running on a time crunch. The moment I walked in to pick up my order. I told the barista that I was here for pick up. She gave me attitude and told me I had to line up. My order is physically right in front of my eyes. But I didn't want to give her a hard time so I lined up. Once I was two customers away from the cashier. She told me to wait on the side for my order instead. I told her that I see my order. She continues to tell me that there's a bunch of orders and it's not mines. So I lined up again to have the cashier tell me that I should've went to the front instead of lining up for pick up orders. She ended up giving me the orders that the other barista stated it wasn't mines. If I had continue to wait on the side I would've never got my orders. I gave this Ding Tea a 5 Star review based upon five characteristics I use to gauge other boba locations. 1. Friendly Staff. A place is only as exciting and energetic as its employees and owners. Every time I come in, I am greeted with a smile and my orders are taken with a smile. 2. Good studying location. Compared to other Ding tea locations and various other boba locations in the area. Ding Tea Westminster provides the best studying atmosphere for my tastes. Not too quiet but not too boring at the same time. Great for studying in groups which is always fun to do. Don't worry I pass my classes studying here ;) 3. Design/ layout/ seating It has unique interior design which is nice and different from other Ding Teas. Very bright and happy and how I'd define Ding Tea to be. 4. Music choices When staying here, I always find myself singing to the playlists. Soothing music to my ears and I can't help but sing with the soundtrack. 5. Overall service My drinks are always made in a timely manner and delivered with cleanliness, even during rush hours! Some other boba places spill on the lid or cup and hand over drinks to customers. The workers always makes sure the drinks are clean and just right for each individual order. Drinks are all delicious as well! I'd recommend this Ding Tea over all the other locations in the area and other boba places. I love boba and if you do, come here!
