    Jasmine Green Milk Tea
    Thomas M.

Stopped into BobaPOP, and it's a really cute spot! They have ample seating, and even boardgames to play with your friends. The service was fast and very friendly. I ordered the classic Jasmine Green Milk Tea with regular boba, ice, and sweetness, and wow! Wonderful flavor and yummy boba. Next time I'll have to try the mochi waffles, that you can get with Nutella, cheese, or salted egg yolk. If you're looking a great variety of delicious drinks and snacks, stop into this neighborhood gem. Enjoy!

Discovered a BOGO offer for today 12-17-2025 so decided to come by and get some drinks 1) Japanese brown rice milk tea with boba - 2) lychee milk tea with boba - Cashier was also person making the boba. Good thing I was the first person there when they opened at noon because the line got long once I left.

Good drinks! The menu has a decent variety with different types of teas. The flavors are pretty good, and there are options for everyone. I highly recommend trying their fruit teas or something light if it's your first time stopping by. * Honey Lychee Aloe Vera: 8/10 - sweet and light flavor * Passion Fruit Tea: 8/10 - nice and tart, not too sour * Boba (Topping): 7/10 - soft and chewy The shop is a decent size and offers a couple of tables to sit at. Only one person was working, and they were very kind. The only downside about this place is that it's located in a plaza that's pretty isolated and small. It's usually not very crowded, so you should be able to find a parking spot, but I think it'd be difficult during peak hours. The prices are also a bit high for a small-sized cup. Nevertheless, not bad.

8/10 Bobapop Milk Tea -I wasn't exactly sure what flavor this was, but it had a very strong floral taste--I'm guessing it was a jasmine oolong tea. It's a well-made drink, just not quite my cup of tea. The floral notes were a bit too overpowering for my personal preference. 4/10 Boba - Pretty mid. The boba turns hard and dense in the center immediately after I start drinking it. Unfortunately, the texture really reflects poor quality. 1/10 Cost - $8.13 in total--seriously? The drink itself, including tax, should've come out to $7.56, but there was an additional $0.57 "service fee" added. I placed the order myself at the kiosk, so I'm not sure why there's a service fee to begin with. On top of that, the TVs in the shop weren't even on, so it's not like there's any added ambiance or service to justify the extra charge. Honestly, for a drink that didn't even taste good, this feels ridiculously overpriced.

Saw an ad on Facebook from BobaPOP Tea Bar (Garden Grove Location) saying you can get a BOGO deal just by messaging them. Gave it a try, and it actually worked! The shop's pretty small with only a few seats, but one thing that really stood out was the huge written "Taiwan Milk Tea" on the wall. They have a few locations in SoCal, but honestly... I hadn't heard of them before. I ordered the milk tea. There was just one group ahead of me, but the wait was surprisingly long. The cup is on the slimmer side too. Same price, but smaller than most other places. As for the taste... hmm, kinda just meh. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. With "milk" being the star of the name, I was totally expecting a rich, creamy flavor but it ended up tasting kinda flat. Since it was a BOGO, I say no more. Nice tea bar tucks in a plaza with big parking lot. It's simple decor and quiet place, perfect for work, or family gardening over drinks and play board games (there's a family of 5 playing board game). Nice and friendly customer service by the staff there. Good menu size w/ drinks and snacks. Easy order (either direct or kiosk$. The drinks are quite tasty and not bad. There is a promotion that buy one and get one free (get the link on their FB).

Decided to give this place a try again. Wish they would have more staffs...Poor girl is doing all the work by herself. Since it took too long for in-person order, I decided to use the kiosk. Same issue as last time, "Japanese Brown Rice Milk Tea" option came out as Thai Milk Tea for the cashier... At this rate, I'm too annoyed to care anymore...

Appreciate the prices on these drinks! Less than $6 for a milk tea with 3 toppings. Got their #2: 3Q Milk tea which is their milk tea with boba, egg pudding, and herbal pudding (grass jelly) Order at their touch screen. Was a little finicky for me but I eventually figured it out. No one greeted me or tried to help me. My drink didn't have much flavor. Not a fan :( Place is cute but hidden in an old shopping strip

Too dense/hard and not enough filling
    Kat H.

This place has an amazing strawberry black tea. The 3Q has to be one of my favorites as well as the brown sugar latte. However this time all the drinks I ordered were lukewarm and not cold and barely sweetened and I ordered everything with normal sugar and normal ice. I told the lady about it and she added more sweetener but it was still not hitting the spot. Service is always good but drinks fell short this time.

Saw this boba ad on IG and decided to try it. Got the blueberry matcha and the kumquat wintermelon. Both drinks are good minus the boba. It was hard instead of chewy. They have free taro and matcha pudding as topping. Might try that instead of the boba next time. The lady that was helping was very nice and apologized because the drinks was taking too long. They also have alot of drinks options.

service fee for using kiosk because employee was busy lol

came back because i remembered how good the almond milk tea was... different recipe! and boba is chewy but not sweetened also fairly upset that kiosk charges you a service fee and no where is it advertised.... won't be back unfortunately especially with all the competition nearby

Darling Milk Tea and Japanese Brown Rice Milk Tea with boba.
    Archie S.

You can find this little tea shop in one of the strip malls in garden grove. Their logo is super cute with the little dog being in it. They do have a good variety of drinks and some unique ones that they specialize in. I've never had a Japanese brown rice milk tea so that was one I had to try out for the sake of it. Along with it the Darling Milk Tea which was a black milk tea that I had to try since it's my favorite milk tea drink. I did add boba to both drinks and went easy ice on both so it's not very diluted. Both drinks were decent but to me it lacked the bold flavor of tea. The Brown Rice Milk Tea was interesting as you can taste the rice in it and it added a unique flavor but again it was just not bold enough and both drinks felt a little watery. In my opinion this does fall under industry average at 3 stars.

Soft jazz music played throughout the café, creating a peaceful ambiance that made it easy to settle in and enjoy the space. One of my favorite things about this café was the variety of drinks available. There were so many interesting options to choose from, and I decided to try the Sakura Latte. It was beautifully presented and had a delicate floral flavor that was both unique and refreshing. You can tell that a lot of thought goes into both the taste and presentation of the drinks. The dessert display was equally impressive. The cake case was filled with a variety of beautiful, aesthetic-looking cakes and pastries that immediately caught my attention. Everything looked carefully crafted and almost too pretty to eat. Even if you're not planning on ordering dessert, it's worth taking a look at the display because it's truly eye-catching. The café is also incredibly photogenic. There are plenty of aesthetic corners, cute décor elements, and picture-perfect spots throughout the space, making it great for Instagram photos. The combination of natural lighting and tasteful interior design creates a welcoming environment that's both stylish and comfortable. They also offer a 30% off student discount which is so generous! I ordered the Roasted Oolong tea latte and the Phoenix Oolong tea latte, both of which are their more popular drink selection. I usually try to get the lowest sugar level which was 10%. Of all the tea places I've tried, these drinks easily had the strongest tea flavor at that level of sweetness. If you're not use to the bitterness from tea, you might elect to select a higher level of sweetness to balance it out. The oat milk has a very subtle flavor, but also doesn't overwhelm the drink. Either way, I thought both drinks were well-made.

Obviously I went for the prior as I loved my milk tea being bolder on the tea flavor. I got the Roasted Oolong Tea Latte with whole milk at 75% sweetness level and heavy tea and I really really enjoyed it. The sweetness was just right, the tea flavor stood strong and I could tell how good the tea quality was in every sip, very fragrant and aromatic. Would obviously go for more next time and tried more from their selections. I've been eyeing on their Wintermelon Tea Latte!!

The corn cream was perfect in the optimization of corn flavor(need to steal the recipe). The little corn is a white chocolate that was drowning by the time I took the picutre hehe oops. Their coffee has a little bit of an acidity to it, but once mixed the coffee will overpower the corn a bit. I also tried the jasmine yuzu which had a light yuzu kick to the tea. They were out of original plain salt bread by the afternoon, but did do a light restock of flavored ones. The good thing is, they don't fill the inside of the bread with stuff so its the same thing with a touch of topping. We got the bacon scallion salt bread. If you have seen salt bread recipe videos, it is exactly like that. Not light like other bakerys, it has a oily thick crust on the bottom that lowkey (highkey) would make a great pairing with melted cheese and like.. as a pizza yum.. or like a grilled corn cheese.. or sweet corn.... i just like corn. The salt bread was buttery, with nice crust, rather oily fyi for your fingers, and good flavor. The topping was medium cream (mayo) and slightly sweet like asian hot dog bun. Overall, i think compared to prices of other cafes these days in OC this place was actually really reasonable. For the vibes, versatility of study vs chatting, interior aesthetic, quality of flavors, and bakery options it was a hit for me. Only thing is seating might be hard to get on busy days! The matcha was more grassy, and the corn latte was a bit on the sweet side for me. The espresso was smooth, though. The truffle Korean salt bread was warmed up, and it was light, crispy, chewy, and fragrant with butter and truffle. I wish I got another one! The pistachio cream donut had a generous amount of cream, lightly pistachio flavor. The donut itself was a bit soggy and cold. It seemed the donut was refrigerated, which makes sense for the cream. The yuzu croissant was more sticky from the sugar glaze on it. It was a bit stale on the following day after we got it, but that's my fault for eating it the following day. Parking lot was not too crowded when we were there. Overall, I would highly recommend their Korean salt bread!
