I got a jasmine milk tea at 70% sweetness with boba and a strawberry smoothie, they were both pretty good, though the smoothie was more like a slushy, very icy. The jasmine milk tea itself could have been a bit stronger, but the boba was a nice texture, chewy and sweet. The prices are not at all expensive. Another thing to note is they have a bunch of options on the menu. The employees were all wearing masks. Overall I would recommend coming here, it's a great place. read more

We have been to Ding Tea in California and were ecstatic when we heard they were opening a location here. The quality of tea they use is so much better than other tea shops we have been to. The crystal and golden bobas are also good. So far my favorite drinks are taro milk tea, wintermelon milk tea, and signature milk tea. Brown sugar pearl latte is good too, it reminds me of cookie dough. I can't wait to try all the other variations and maybe find a new favorite. read more

Had the winter melon tea and taro. Both were very watery. The taro was lacking flavor and didn't taste like how the taro normally does, maybe the brand they used compared to majority of boba places? Boba was good though, just maybe not the best choice if you have several others nearby. read more

I get bubble tea cravings here and there and I've always been picky about my bubble tea. There aren't many bubble tea places that have amazed me, but Ding Tea is one of them. I've tried bubble tea at many of the Overland Park/KC places over the years and the taste of this place's bubble tea has excellent quality. So this bubble tea place is pretty far from where I live, but thankfully I don't get bubble tea cravings often. There are closer places for me to go but I'd rather get bubble tea from a place that has always left me happy with my drink choice. I've tried some of their drinks on their top 10 list. I really like how I can adjust my sugar level and their boba is a very good consistency. There is enough chewiness to each bite and a hint of sweetness. Also if you want something to eat, they also have some bakery selections from a local place, Formosa bakery, in Lawrence. The workers are pleasant too. I like how they can remain calm under busy times. I don't think I've had to ever wait too long for my drinks. They only sell their drinks in one size. It would be considered the large drink size at other bubble tea places that offer the typical regular and large drink sizes. I don't think you can go wrong with any of their drink selections, especially the top 10. They told me their most popular drink was the brown sugar pearl latte and I can see why! If someone ever asks me which bubble tea to go to in the area, I always say go to Ding Tea. Try this place out! read more

i used to come here allll the time they have the best boba. it looks like they may have gotten bought out by someone else or just upgraded a lot, but they have new employees now. but i walk in today on 10/16 and the girl at the front tells me they don't have golden/black boba. i couldn't understand her because she was talking so fast so i asked again and she gives me an attitude and talks to me like im stupid. so i say nevermind and walk out and she laughs about it with her coworker. hope something gets done about it but i doubt they'll even see this review. never coming here again read more

My go to bubble tea spot in KC! My favorite is their iced brown sugar boba milk tea at 30%, the sweetness level was perfect. When you pop in your straw, rip the lid to the rim so u can sip the foam! Take your straw to stir the bobas and milk together instead of shaking so you can taste it with the foam on top! Alternative sipping through the straw for the milk tea n boba AND sipping foam! Best way to drink it. When I feel like a sweet dessert drink mid-day or after dinner, I come here! Great service, if you don't like your drink, they will gladly remake it! Worst customer service ever. Won't be back. We arrived at 9:05 because other boba places close at 9pm. We were greeted by an abrupt lady wearing cat ears and bleached hair who said, "you can order but you can't sit down. You have to take your drinks outside because we are closing." Well, it only got worse from there... we ordered from the rude lady, then waited behind several other customers for our drinks. I sat in the cool wicker chair while my teen kids sat on some barstools by the window. The rude lady stopped making drinks (while there were at least 6 people ahead of us waiting for theirs, and a line at the counter) to come out from behind the counter and tell my kids they weren't allowed to sit down while waiting for our drinks. She started flipping chairs over to make her point before she had to go back to taking orders. Then some of our drinks came out before the couple ahead of us. She accused customers of stealing their drinks instead of apologizing to them (they ordered bright purple drinks, and were not stolen by anyone - I was right there). The staff simply didn't make their drinks. Then, my kids had moved over to the counter where the drinks were being placed (STANDING because they weren't allowed to sit) since the rest of our drinks were next. She came out again and yelled at them that they weren't allowed to stand THERE! I don't even know why. It's exactly where the previous couple waited to get their drinks. There was no other place to stand. I was about ready to just ask for a refund, but there were rude "NO REFUNDS" signs on the walls. Apparently we weren't the first customers to be disappointed! We finally got our drinks and got out of there. For $40 worth of drinks, I think we should have been allowed to sit down DURING business hours to enjoy them! We were celebrating one of my kids and it was a splurge for us. Too bad it was a horrible experience. There were at least 10 people that came in behind us, so there's no way they were closing early. If you're going to stay open later than the competition, then you have to expect a late rush. It's a shame they kick customers out and treat them like trash. Good luck Ding! I tried this for the first time with my bestie. We both love boba tea and saw that this place opened up. The decor is super cute, and it wasn't overly crowded (yet! Probably because they're new!). We both enjoyed our drinks!!! My ONLY wish was that they had popping boba options. I'm not a huge fan of the chewy original boba (that's just me cuz I have a weird thing with textures of some foods lol). The atmosphere of the store is so upbeat and cute and the decor gives off a very bright and happy vibe... even on a rainy day! Ding tea has a great menu with a large selection so there is something for everyone here. The thing that I enjoyed the most is you get to pick how much sugar goes into your drink.. which I have not seen before and is something that is very helpful when watching calories. I don't normally write reviews but after reading a bad review on this place I wanted to offer my perspective of the situation because I believe I was there around the same time. This place is always pretty busy on the weekends so I go in knowing I will have to be patient. People really need to understand that it takes time to make each drink fresh. The staff is constantly making new batches of boba and teas. When I see a long line, I know it will be a while before my drink is finished because it takes time to make each drink and then clean in between each drink. I saw a worker spill a drink but it only took a few minutes for her to clean. I did see her laughing but I assume she was trying to make herself feel better about the situation. I also saw the worker changing songs while also mixing up a drink in her other hand. During my experience, I saw a friendly staff who were having fun at their job while also continuing to make drinks. My tip for people is don't go when you see a line and are already hangry...go grab something to eat and then come back and wait in line. Be patient because these drinks take time to make! read more

So yummy and really just one part this mall needs for a make over to get polished up and not get down to the ground like demolished ! This place is new and so inviting. Very clean and bright atmosphere! The staff is very friendly and have great recommendations as well as asking if I liked it afterwards. I got the brown sugar tea latte and it was so good! Tasted like I was drinking caramel milk and the boba was delicious with just the right amount of sweetness and chewiness. I also really like that you are able to choose you preferred amount of sugar. I think that what tops this place off for me as a winner is that it is open fairly late for a drink place. Which gives plenty of time for a late night run as well as having card games at each of the tables that you can hang out with friends without feeling rushed to leave. Best boba place ! I've tried 3 different and random milk teas and they all delicious!

If I can rate 0 star, I would definitely do it. To the owner of this particular boba shop, you need to tell your staffs cut their nails down. OMG. It's boba shop. It's not nails' salon. I couldn't believe they made my drink with that long nails. Every single women had their long freaking nails. It's disgusting to imagine if something is sticker under those long nails. Second, they dropped my cake on the ground, then picked them up and gave it me. They didn't apologize or did anything. They didn't ever bother to give me the new cake when I asked for it. "Damn" was what they said when they gave me the cake, and that was it period. Run your a** off. It's not a good boba shop at all. Will not be back. read more

I was craving bubble tea from the first time I had tried it at a restaurant called Blue Koi. I looked up bubble tea on my maps and thought I'd give this place a try! Walked In and the guys who were working answered my questions and actually suggested a flavor I ended up loving!!! I went with the Classic Taro Milk Tea 70% sugar level and black/golden boba. This drink literally tasted like the milk after eating all of the trix or fruit loop cereal.. and I lovvve trix cereal. It was incredible! It was so good I came back a day later and got the same thing. Super cold, love the taste and the texture of the tapioca balls. I got the coffee tea with golden pearls before I was going to do some pre christmas shopping. Overall it was good. They have a variety of different flavors, which can be difficult to choose between for those who have a hard time making a decision. They also have desserts that they sell, which I believe they get from Lawrence, Kansas. The roll that we got was light and creamy and went well with my coffee tea. The staff are helpful and quick. I love this place! I know that I should venture out and try a bunch of other flavors but I just can't! My 2 go-to teas are just too yummy! I love the classic taro with coconut and the coconut is all the sweetness it needs so I always order 0% sweetness. My other is the classic winter melon milk tea! I don't know what makes this so yummy but it is! But on that drink the lowest sweetness level you can do is 30% and that's just enough for me. I also am in LOVE with the crystal boba! Once I tried it I just can never go back to regular or even golden! The only complaint I have, if you want to call it a complaint is that every time I order my tea blended it automatically waters my tea down. So I always have to remember to order it just regular over ice if I wanna actually taste my drink, and really over ice isn't so bad. read more

If you order a Milk tea, you would expect it to taste like a milk tea. In my case I ordered a signature milk tea....it tasted like Watery milk, I didn't even taste a hint of tea. After a tiring afternoon of shopping at the Oak Park Mall, I decided to stop by and try another new boba shop that's opened in the KC area. As a Kung Fu and GoCha fan, I came in with high hopes, and while those two are still the top tier, Ding Tea has some good boba. Specifically, the boba pearls were SO good- soft, chewy, flavorful, and numerous- hands down the best part of the drink. Also good was the service; there was a "Top 10 drinks" menu that made my decision easy and the service was prompt. Unfortunately, the tea was much too sweet for me, even at 30% sweetness, and I could only taste the toffee- no tea flavor at all. I thought the size wasn't large enough to justify spending $6, and there was a ton of ice in my drink with no options for less ice on the menu. It's good a solid drink, but unless I'm craving it while shopping in OP again, I probably won't be back. read more
