    Best Bacon Cheeseburger in California!
    Ted R. R.

This historic store is stocked with EVERYTHING we've needed for camping & fishing. And their grill has some amazing burgers & other options for a good meal from 10am-3pm. Even more important are the friendly staff who will answer all your questions about this historic area. I rate the store, Chalets and the staff a 5 out of 5.

Burgers were really good and not overpriced! This was a lovely hidden gem close to shaver lake.

This place is in desperate need of some upgrade! Pictures say a thousand words! Defiantly a hunting cabin! Don't expect much and beware of snells.....plus trusting the people before cleaned everything thoroughly

It was around 1pm and I was still looking to have breakfast, but my hubby was looking for lunch. This place seemed to offer both and the reviews were good too! We were able to park right up front. They have an outside patio in the front area as an option to dine at. It was definitely a hot day in the high 90's, so it wasn't an option for us to sit out there today. Although they did have misters on which was a nice touch. We walked in to a busy place and there were only two tables available, so we sat down right away. It took a while for us to get our menu's, but we can see it was busy. Our server was really nice and once we ordered our food, it was served pretty quickly! I ordered the Ironman Scramble with the Cheddar Jalapeño bread which the bread was so delicious! I also ordered a refreshing Peach Iced Tea. My husband ordered the Alabama Hills Bacon Cheese Burger and a Strawberry Lemonade. We were both very happy with our meals and even ordered a Cinnamon Roll to go! All the baked goods looked amazing too.

Love, love, love!…read more Cutest shop! Great Guest Service! Yummy Coffee! I love the whole vibe and ambiance of the place. We come through Lone Pine at least 1x/year and I just tried this bistro and enjoyed it so much. The ladies working there (family owned) are amazing and so friendly and welcoming. It was so nice chatting with them while placing and waiting for my order. I am picky on coffee, but it was delicious and perfect. A MUST to visit.

There is a small gift shop with lots of sundry stuff. We have been regulars when we are traveling up and down the 395 which happens a couple times a month. I always appreciate hospitality service workers and make it a point to be friendly and appreciative to everyone. It's just so darn difficult here. I mean for the last 6 years this has been a regular spot and nothing really seems to change. The ladies here just don't seem to enjoy their jobs. During our last visit we needed to use the restrooms and they were very unclean. My brain always connects dirty bathrooms to probably dirty kitchens. I never like to give poor reviews and give regular spots multiple tries. We just can't do it anymore. There is a coffee shop and juice bar across the street we will be trying on our next trip.
