I'm from New York visiting my mom who lives in Texas. I've passed by this place several times. As a New Yorker I know how my subs better yet how we say it heroes taste like after reading their reviews on Yelp I decided to stop over and give it a try. I ordered the number two and it was the best sandwich I ever had with the Dino Dressed. Throughout the time while I visit I went there three times and I couldn't stop helping and talking about how good this sandwich was it does remind me of New York every time. I wish I could give zero stars. Not because of the food quality, but because one of their employees added an unauthorized 6 dollar tip to my credit card. When I contacted the store about this, I talked to the "owner" and they told me they would take care of it. And, didn't. They didn't seem to care about the theft, or even try to make things right. Which is a damn shame, considering I have been a loyal customer for over 25 years. Goodbye all that loyalty over a scumbag employee that got greedy. My wife and I were out car shopping and needed somewhere to stop for lunch. I had passed Dino's Subs so many times in the past and had never stopped. We're glad we did this time. We were pleasantly surprised and will return again very soon. My wife had a 1/2 sandwich with turkey, cheese and all the fixin's and I ordered the meatball sub. Both of our sandwiches were wonderful. My wife loved her turkey sandwich with all the veggies and dressed just the way she wanted it. My meatball with marinara and provolone cheese was delicious. The 1/2 sandwich had 4 good sized meatballs on it, more than enough to satisfy any hungry appetite. Dino's also serves all natural ice cream. We're definitely going to have to get a shake or malt next time we stop in. The dining room is your typical diner setup. It's comfortable but not for lingering. read more

The fixings "the works", and "Dino's" sauce (garlic soaked red & green pepper) is very tasty. Order by number is preferred to oversee your sub. Next you have your fixings followed by your drinks, which can include beer. (You can get beer to go too!) I ordered a number five, roast beef and cheese on wheat. It was massive and delicious. The banter with sub preppers was fun too. Was finally able to check out this place after hearing so much about it. Came on a Friday after peak lunch hours and the line was still out the door so we headed elsewhere. Came back the next week and the line was more manageable this time so we checked it out. From the front, the place looks pretty shady but don't be fooled. Figured I would try their namesake, so I ordered the Dino which came with beef, ham, salami and provolone. And for good measure, I added some mushrooms and pickles. The sun was shining just right as it was golden hour (the glowy / golden period during the evening) They had regular or wheat and i got the wheat. It's soft not dry. We got all diff subs and they all tasted really good. Also got their macaroni salad which is on the more sour side due to the vinegar from the relish which adds a not so tiresome taste so it's hard to get bored of but very dangerous to be addicted to. read more

The pizza sub is not bad either. Stay away from any other sub that goes in the microwave though, as without the pizza sauce, the micro does seem to turn that wonderful bread kinda chewy. Only reason Dino's does not get 5 stars in my book is I do think the prices (both for sandwiches and beer) are a bit high. Don't get me wrong, it's a great sandwich, it just seems a little pricey. Subway, Jersey Mike's, and Jimmy Johns..I'm leaving you for an older, more established, well-balanced sub that will fulfill all of my sub needs The Good: Atmosphere & location. Busy, but soo quick with service! They have some amazing teamwork going on over there! This place is CLEAN & smelled amazing!! The Better: O.M.G. The quality, the amount of food you get, the price..I love an ice cold sub, and this did not disappoint..veggies were all crunchy & fresh, the oils, spices, & vinegar worked so well together & doesn't overpower any other aspect of the sub. I could honestly just go on and on lol I like to try and include constructive criticism in my reviews, but I also refuse to go looking for something if there isn't anything. I have absolutely no complaints & I don't think they need to improve on a single thing. Bread is a fresh hoagie roll, lettuce is finely chopped, tomatoes are definitely fresh. * Classic rock plays nice and loud in the shop * Pepsi products * "The works" sandwich topping option. Just get it and move along. You don't need anything else. * I've only ever been for lunch while working, but they have several beers on tap for dinner or your off day. * The only time I used the bathroom here, it was very well maintained. It is very small, however. Cons * Lines get long at peak times, because this place is awesome. * Large menu, but not much diversity in the deli meats selection. Of 27 sandwich options, 22 are different combinations of beef and/or pork. Would like to see more with chicken and turkey; they have only one option for each. * Ordering process is a little intimidating at first. Most people stutter a bit when starting out, but it's well worth the learning curve. Overall, this place gets 5-stars almost every time I visit.
