Ordered a Hot Salami for takeout, more than half of the pizza was inedibly burnt. I've eaten a lot of pizza, from a bunch of regional styles. I like crisp and charred blistered spots on the crust. Any reviewer that says 'but that's just their style!' just got lucky. Half of the pizza was probably on the upper end of acceptably charred tasting. The other half of the pizza was ACTUALLY just straight up carbonized charcoal on the bottom, and completely inedible. I get that they're going for a blistery charred style, but their quality control and method to achieve this is just not working. I'd recommend searching the reviews for 'burnt' and see the pictures people post before you decide to go here. You'll also see that the owners offer to swap out overly burnt slices, so I'd recommend not going here for delivery, since that won't be an option. This is a take out review. The pizza was ready as soon as we showed up. No wait. We ordered a whole sicilian pepperoni pizza. The detroit style pizza (the square one). I love pizza with a good crunchy crust. The pizza was soooo good. The pepperoni, the crust, the sauce. Delicious. It's even better as left overs. This is officially one of my top pizza places in Seattle!! I am surprised with some of the reviews relating to inconsistency with the pizza. Pizza came a bit cold/barely warm. It wasn't burned itself, however it had a distinct burned flavor, seemingly due to whatever transferred to the crust from the oven. The crust was tough, the sauce was just "not bad". Seems like this is one of those places that college students go to to get a huge pizza for lower than average cost. For that it is not bad. tldr; Feel free to come here if you want ill-mannered customer service and lukewarm and burnt pizza. Worst experience ever. I would give a zero if it was possible. We walked in around 11pm and had our IDs checked by a middle aged lady. My friend wasn't feeling so well so I went to grab him some water to calm his stomach. The same middle aged lady comes behind me and tells me that I don't need to get water because my group was leaving. This was completely unprofessional and rude. They claimed they didn't want my friend to "fall asleep here". There was about 8 of us who was going to order pizza but because they told us we could only takeout, only two of us decided to order. The pizza was warm and tasted burnt at the bottom. The place was completely empty, probably because of the rude staff member. I should say the younger girl with short black hair wasn't rude but her other fellow employee was extremely impolite. This place offers Sicilian style pizza as an option, which reminds me of Detroit Style Pizza. We got the Hot Salami as take out. The pizza itself seemed a little over baked and so the crust was a little tough to bite/chew. I'm not sure if it was happened to stay in their oven a little too long or if all their pizzas are like this. Dino's gets the crust right - ironically the hardest part of getting NY/NJ pizza correct. The texture and taste is good. I like their Sicilian - it's close to the Sicilian of my childhood. Advertised as Jersey pizza I figured as a born and raised Part Italian from Jersey I had to give it a try. Friendly staff, quick and fresh takeout. For the pizza test, we ordered 2 "18" pies. A cheese pizza half mushroom and a white pie. The crust was perfectly crunchy and passed the form test. When you fold the slice it doesn't flop over dropping half of the sauce and cheese on the floor like most other Seattle pizza. The sauce was fresh and tasty, not too sour or sweet. The cheese was also fresh not oily. Pricey for 2 pies is about $50 so not east coast prices but to be expected for Seattle I would go back over and over and over again to fix my Jersey pizza cravings. Pizza here hit after bar hopping around cap hill. A solid quick slice of cheese pizza after a night of getting drinks. Specifically, came here to leave a good review for one of the bartenders. There was an incident where a man who appeared extremely intoxicated skipped the line/walked up and started saying things to my friends and I, and the bartender ran over and kicked him out. All of this happened within one minute- the bartender had such great awareness of the surroundings (even while there was a line of people who had just arrived) and he shut it down quicker than I've ever seen someone shut a situation down & kicked him out. I came here with my flatmate for a late dinner on Saturday. The lighting is dim and a red glow permeates from neon signs around the bar. Loud party hip hop plays from speakers, but not so loud that you can't have a conversation. We split a Sicilian style Mr. Pink (the vodka sauce pizza) and garlic knots. This is definitely one of the best restaurants I've been to in Seattle, and definitely one of the better pizza places in general. Dino's has the atmosphere of a Mobsters step sons hang out. It's dark, there are neon signs, old photos, it's loud and it doesn't give an F. Come here for cheap drinks and decent food. The service is fine, you order at the bar, you get your own water, you seat yourself. Having grown up in NY, I can authoritatively state that Dino's is the place to go to when you want a NY slice. They're pretty inconsistent though, with the pizza coming out a little burnt sometimes, and perfect other times. The only worthwhile pizza in my opinion is the cheese pizza, and their cheese delivers (their menu also warns customers that adding too many toppings will not make a pizza better). The sauce is great, cheese is thin and not chewy, and the crust still a little moist when its not burnt. Interior is dim and old-fashioned. Service is not terrible. You order both your pizza and drinks at the bar. The drinks are cheap relative to the other bars in Cap Hill (even the ones next door). For reference, a Rainier tall-boy is $3. It's loud on the inside. There's a lot of booth seating that can fit up to 6 people and a few bar seats. read more

The worst service ever My friends and I are visiting from LA and deciding to eat here before the bars and right from the start we were greeted with a rude server. We went to order our food and drinks at the bar and the guy was super rude while we were very quick and easy with our order of just one pizza. We waited for almost an hour for our food and was told that our order wasn't placed but they took our number from our table and we had a receipt. I had a friend in town recently who wanted pizza before he left so I brought him to Dino's via a recommendation from my roomie who used to live in the Cap Hill area. This place was perfect on this night because we both wanted a cheap beer along with some pizza. We ended up getting a regular Sicilian style pizza. It was pretty delicious! It's a good size too, we ended up eating half of it and then ate the other half for breakfast. The service and atmosphere here is great, especially if you're showing a friend around or coming in with some friends. All in all, I'll definitely be coming back. Oh! Scrape your oven of burnt bits, make your par cooked dough shells slightly less cooked and Dino's will be just fine. To be fair, it takes a lot for me to start docking stars on here, but Dino's is great. They have both big square (Sicilian?) style pizza and the traditional round and I've had both and loved both. In fact, before the 8 bus stop got moved from right on this corner, I used to eat it MUCH more often because getting off the bus and walking past that smell without stopping was difficult. As a note, they will ID you to come in here unless you're getting it to go, so I don't think it's kid-friendly. As for service, some of the people are friendly and some are decidedly not, but it's hit or miss and maybe they already had their patience used up by drunk idiots those times. Really sorry I have to write this. If you're going to serve slices, You put the slice on a plate and hand it to the customer and take their money. Do not take 10 minutes to burn a perfectly good slice into something charred and barely edible. If certain customers like their pizza well-done, fine, let them ask for it that way.
