Wonderful establishment. Ask for Michelle, she is very experienced and happy to make reservations for you over the phone. Everyone is always kind and happy to offer coffee while you wait or getting a cut. The location is conveniently located near the Korean markets in garden grove so it's nice if you plan on getting some food or going shopping. The prices are unbeatable with color and perm starting at 60$ and cuts starting at 20$. Would recommend for these reasons. read more

My 10yrs old son got his haircut by the owner Susie Na and we're very happy with her professional work. She's so patient and taking her time work with his coarse hair. Prior to my appointment, I consulted with Susie about my hair. I had brown golden colored & highlight from another salon which I was not happy with so I asked Susie if she can remove it and change it to platinum blond with high lights. Of course with over 15yrs experience she worked her magic on my hair Susie uses high end products for my hair, one of which she uses call Olaplex - a system can only be used by licensed salon to rebuilds broken hair bonds & repair damage. It's like an insurance for your hair. I love it!! My hay was so damaged and dry, after Susie completed high lights & colored, my hair looks so much healthier and very smooth. I got another amazing color job from Alex. I've seen him three times so far and he's super sweet and attentive. He always makes sure I've got what I need to maintain my color at home, too. He also did a Brazilian Blow Out on my coarse, frizzy hair and now it's sleek and shiny. I can actually brush it and ruin my hands through it now, and the color is vibrant and breathtaking. This was my 3rd time going to this place and I give it 5/5 for the barber, Sunny. She is amazing. It's recommended that you make an appointment before avoid waiting. When you walk into the store, everyone sincerely greets you and you are asked to go to the back and wear a outer liner so the hair doesn't get all over your clothes during the haircut. Sunny cuts quickly and efficiently. The downside is that it is a little pricey. $20 for a male haircut. read more

I've had some BAD hair cuts... Expensive or cheap, there have been some bad ones... I was nervous to try this place but I'm so glad I did. Michelle is awesome. She knows what looks good on you and she's quick!! 50 mins for wash, cut & style my super long hair (reaches like right above my butt). Also she charges me $30!!! So cheap! AND she has a "punch card"... Your 5th hair cut is 20% off and your 10th hair cut is FREE!! Make sure you go with someone who speaks Korean haha :) read more

This is THE best hair salon I've been to. My first perm was done here, and I'm SO glad that I randomly found this place- Sunny did an AMAZING job. I can't even begin to count the compliments I've received. However, there's a huge language barrier if you're not Korean, I had to just point at the pictures from the magazine- but Sunny managed to do it perfectly. I highly recommend this place for perms :) It came out not too curly and not too flat. my price: $150 tip: $25 but it's worth it, I got my perm done in Jan and it's still holding strong now. read more

I don't recommend at all. they cut my eyebrow short and thin without my permission. It is difficult, if not impossible, for my eyebrows to grow back. They have permanently ruined my eyebrows. They would not listen to me at all. They did my make up & hair without consulting my opinion first. I looked like an evil mistress, like a witch. They added fake eyelashes and poofed up my hair even though I told them several times that I didn't want them. It ruined my wedding day. The wedding day was supposed to be my special moment but now I have to live with those bad memories for the rest of my life. In addition, they ruined my mom's hair and makeup as well. My mom told them several times to do them differently but they would not listen to her either. After we left the shop, my mom and I removed our fake eyelashes and she redid her hair. We were very disappointed in this shop. My former friend recommended this shop to us so we had very high expectations. However, we were disappointed in our makeup and hair but we were especially disappointed in their service, or lack of it. They need to consider their customers' opinion; they shouldn't force their style upon their customers. read more

This is my new fav hair salon. Even though I can barely communicate with my hair stylist and only rely on hand gestures (I'm not korean, and most of the Korean stylists there can barely speak English), the hair stylist still did a great job. I'd only recommend if you're getting a full haircut, not for a trim, because full cut or trim is still $30, the only reason why it lacks the last star. In all, I really like this place! read more

i love this salon. i have been coming here for many many years and they never fail me. I have very tough and thick hair and it has always been very difficult to cut. before hair dio i went to dozens of different salons, none of which were able to get the style that i wanted or any style that looked good. my favorite stylist there is Diane, she is the owner and without doubt the most talented hair dresser. she always seems to know what i want and how to style/cut my hair. i have so much faith in the talent and skill and i just walk in and tell her to do whatever and she does an amazing job. she is amazing the price is reasonable i believe it is 20+tip for a haircut (for a guy) i am not sure how much it is for a girl but im sure is not too much. with this price they wash your hair cut it and then style it after the cut. i would say that it is a fair price. there is one thing that i should mention, this is a korean salon. though many of the hair dressers do speak some english their primary english is korean. read more

You know every lady DIES to find a salon she can trust and go back to every time? While I FOUND MINES! OMG Sunny is a lifesaver! I rarely leave disappointed. She doesn't speak too much English, but just show her the picture of what you want and she'll do it! The price isn't too bad $25 for my short hair I Believe it was $45 for long. =) plus she styles it amazingly ! My hair is crazy! Frizzy, curly, and dry. But she can handle it & it comes out amazing! LOVE THIS PLACE. The reason for four stars is that it will cost me a grip of money to dye my SHORT hair, compared to the price she gave me for my LONG hair. read more

I used to go to another place to get my hair cut, but before that, I used to get it here. My stylist, Diana, had stuck with me since my last go-to place, and I've been satisfied with my cuts every time, and also recently got a dye to try out, which turned out great! My hair grows out faster than average so my hair usually gets long enough to warrant a cut, though I don't often come in (perhaps every 2 months). Diana had commented on it and I've so far entrusted my head to her. Recently she recommended a different style (because I've had a same style cut for awhile) and it's been working out for me very well. I would recommend having Diana if you plan to be a regular and want to switch it up every so often. As for the place, it's small and nice. Sometimes I've seen it be busy, and other times it's nice and quiet. They also do this stamp/loyalty card if you end up becoming a regular there. Again, I would recommend this place, even once, to try out a cut. read more

I came here to get a haircut and straight perm for the first time. And I loved what they did! I've gotten many haircuts and straight perms elsewhere but I especially really liked how they did it here. I normally just tell them to just give me a trim and layers and it would come out alright, but here they really cut in a way that I LOVED my hair. Also, the straight perm was great. My hair felt soft and silky after I got it done. It's been a few days and it's still soft and silky! Even after I sleep on it, there was no dents in my hair. I've been going here for at least 8 years. Affordable ($30 haircut) and going to the same hair stylist who knows what you want and like is a plus. Sunny gets pretty busy on the weekends. The downside is that she will work on 3 clients at the same time, which prolongs my simple haircut from 30 mins to 1 hour. I recently came to just get my bangs trimmed. They told me that Sunny is no longer there. Due to the language barrier (I don't speak Korean), I didn't inquire why. I had the owner trim my bangs and she charged me $10. Too pricey for just bangs. Will not come back since Sunny is no longer here. read more

Great salon. It is Korean-owned and the hairdressers don't speak a lot of English, but enough to communicate. Sunny used to work here and she did an amazing job on hair. Now that she is gone I see Tommy and he always does a good job with haircuts and perms. I can tell he takes his time to do a good job, unlike other salons I've been to where they seem kinda careless/unskilled. I like the ambiance in this salon...it is very open and clean. They give u robes to change into so your clothes don't get dirty. read more

I went here few times not bad how they cut my hair. But somehow never really get what I wanted. There was a damaged to my hair, perming it. We both usually dread getting our hair cut, because we would always get a cut where we just end up desperately waiting for our hair to grow back to the original state. But today, we found our place. My girlfriend got a volume straight perm from Tommy. She would always complain about her natural curls. But now she has silky soft hair with a lot of volume just the way she likes it. I just got sports cut with fades on the sides. I once came to this place around 4-5 years ago. There used to be a male stylist that first introduced me to the hairstyle that I've tried to keep since then. At the time, I thought $20 for a cut was too much. When I came back months later to get a haircut from him, he wasn't around anymore and was disappointed by the new hair style they gave me. I realized that I never got a cut as well as that one time years back so I went next door to Kim Sun. I came to this place hoping to get a haircut from the same stylist (I wasn't satisfied how the back of my hair was cut so I decided to try Hair Dio once again). Instead, I got the worst cut money can buy ($20) from a "stylist" named Mina. She gave me a haircut that resembled Jim Carey from "Dumb and Dumber." During the duration of the haircut, she rambled on about how cutting hair was an art. She talked foul about the stylists next door (Kim Sun Young Hair Studio whom I've been getting my hair cut for years) and told me I shouldn't go there. Anyways, when I told her about how I didn't like the way they cut the back of my hair, she started rambling about the "art of hair cutting" and how beautiful she cut the back of my hair. When she finished cutting, she started putting on pomade all over my head before she showed me the back. TO make a long story short, my hair looked like pure crap. She had the galls to actually give me her business card and told me to come back next month. WOW. If you ever go to this salon, never get a cut from a woman named Mina. She's the tall, withered old lady that looks like the Korean Cruela-De-Ville. read more
