I take my a lot of pride in how I treat my mom and she trusts me on where I say she should try to go on things that are important to her like her hair. Linda completely scammed us, ruined my mom's hair (see photo below), and treated her horribly. Because my mom was a vulnerable elder who's older, Linda started treating her progressively worse and kept increasing her prices. My mom just wanted someone we could trust so I put a lot of effort into coming and even bringing food for people. Once my mother started coming alone and the trust was earned, Linda completely changed. She started being ruder, making hurtful comments, probing for how much money we had, and more. Eventually, my mom said no to her price increase and she didn't fight as much and accepted. My mom thought it was odd but later we get charged for the price increase. More than the money, it's really sad and painful to see my mom, who has chronic kidney disease, taken advantage of and now her hair is ruined, frayed, damaged, and falling out in chunks because Linda used cheap harmful materials during the last visit. It's obvious she is looking for margins and taking advantage of people who come here alone and older. read more

I have been meaning to write this review. I got a haircut back in February with Linda. I asked for long layers and 3 inches off my hair and 1/2 inch off my bangs. Afterwards, I wanted Linda to curl my hair. Just simple beach waves. Nothing too fancy. The haircut cost was $100... I thought it would only be $60. Heck, I would have been fine with the cost being $65. But no.. Linda decided to upcharged me $80 for a trim of 3 inches off my hair. She also looked at me when I gave her $80 and was expecting a tip. I didn't have change for a $20 bill so I just told her to keep the change. But, I was honestly hesitant and gave in because Linda kept looking at me like I HAD to give her a tip. I left feeling bittersweet even though the haircut was decent and service was good. I didn't feel like the length of the haircut should have been $100 total + tip. The only reason why I decided to try this salon was because my girl was on vacation at Bliss Hair Salon in Garden Grove and I figured that I should tame my hair with a quick trim. It was my first time here, I was fortunate to get an appointment the same day after calling in for a haircut. My entire experience from start to finish was very welcoming and professional. Before the haircut they make sure to have your hair washed at a station before beginning which was pleasant. My hairdresser today was June, she was very helpful when we were deciding on the style for my hair today. I'm so so sorry I didn't catch everyone's names, but Rose, Lupe, my stylist, and the gal at the front desk were all wonderful! Everyone was welcoming and checked in often to make sure I was comfortable. I have very straight, fine hair and came in for a hippie perm, my second perm ever, and it turned out fantastic. My hair still feels healthy and even smells great. The first time I got a perm was in LA, and while it was a good experience, the drive was a hassle, the experience wasn't quite as personable, and the cost was much more. I highly recommend RT7 Beauty Salon and will be coming here for all my haircuts and perms going forward. i hardly leave reviews but i had to for RT7. long story short - i went to get my perm like 2 weeks ago at a different salon, but it literally lasted like 2 seconds on me & so i was researching for a korean salon this time and i came across rt7. i joined the waitlist for saturday bc there was no availability left, but thankfully, the front desk girl called me the next day and she said they could fit me in for 11:45AM - i got there on saturday and the front desk girl greeted me super kindly - the vibe of the salon was also pretty chill as well, kinda reminded me of the nice ones in Korea. i was nervous since i was pretty traumatized from that perm i got 2 weeks ago at another salon. BUT Linda understood what i wanted to go for after i showed her some pictures of the perm AND THANKFULLY, Linda executed PERFECTLY; i have not felt this good in my own hair in a really long time. i'll definitely be coming in a few months. but shoutout to Linda and the front desk girl !!! read more

My husband and I have been to this salon multiple times and each time we received wonderful service from all the staff - hair stylists and front desk. The space is nice and clean and they even have a changing room to put on a cute robe. The hair stylists also provide great recommendations for haircuts and tips on styling. I didn't choose a specific person, but I think I ended up getting the owner. She had a warm and welcoming presence and gave me exactly what I described. I GOT 8 INCHES OFF AND UNEVEN HAIR and yes I know it's not styled, the lady ended up curling it after the haircut when I didn't even ask so I showered as soon as a I got home to undo curling it. Started to go here during covid when I figured it was overdue for a haircut. Ending up deciding on a digital perm and went here on a whim. My stylist was Lydia and she took great care in giving me the natural wave look. I loved it as I've gotten a perm before elsewhere and it ruined my hair. Since then I've been coming back to Lydia for my haircuts. I usually ask her for curtain bangs and just minimal layering towards the end to increase volume without my hairs being all different lengths. I believe her name is Lupe? But she usually ashes and preps my hair. And then might finish blow drying it towards the end and she is always very friendly. I have never gotten any coloring here so not sure about that. This place has saved me from many bad hair days... If you're a guy/girl looking to dye/perm your hair, you've come to the right place. If you want a looser, Korean-style wavy perm that isn't as tight and curly as it the usual perm, you've come to the right place. They actually care about how you look and about the health of your hair here. My first experience at RT7 started with me just wanting a wavy perm and not knowing what haircut I wanted at all. Lydia asked me for my preferences and I remember muttering "two block" and "wavy perm". Lydia left me at the chair for a minute and came back with her phone, opened up to a Pinterest board of Kpop guys and Korean actors. She helped me choose a couple of photos of hairstyles that we thought would fit my head shape and that I personally liked, and she got started! Ever since then, I've been coming back to get mostly the same thing, albeit with slight changes. One of the stylists recommended that it would look better if I moved my side part closer to the middle, which turned out great! I love it when they give me recommendations as well as tips for care and styling at home. What usually happens when I come: - Arrived a few minutes before my appointment time (booked over phone) - Wait a bit until they're ready - Change into the gown thingy to protect my clothes - Hair gets washed (so refreshing...) - Haircut (~15 mins) - Perm (~30 mins) - Hair gets washed again - Final touches to hair (trimming and cutting) - Pay (Men's haircut itself is $35. With the perm the price totals to ~$100). I have very straight hair, but the perm usually lasts me 3 months before I have to get it again! As you would expect, the place is really nice and clean. I left the salon today almost in tears, but not for the reason you'd expect! This is the BEST local korean hair salon, especially if you're going for that Kpop look! Linda is nothing short of a magician, she is so incredible! Ive had my hair cut & permed by her 3 separate times before posting this review. She barely glanced at the picture I had & just started going at it. She knows what to do for my hair wayyy better than I do. Consistency is KEY when it comes to barbers, and she is 100% solid at her craft. Her assistants are also amazing! The salon is super nice and clean, and all the staff are courteous & friendly. I just went yesterday and I have been to this place maybe 3 or 4 times before and they've done a good job before but this time i went in for a haircut and asked for layers and face framing but i told the hairstylist, I didn't want too much of my hair cut because my hair is already thin and she said ,"I KNOW" with some attitude as like she knew what she was doing but clearly she didn't because she did exactly what I didn't want and now it feels like I barely have any hair at the back and a lot of hair at the top, it seems like a jellyfish haircut and I hate how my hair feels. I came in without an appointment around noon, Summer was very kind to let me know that currently there aren't any availability for walk-ins. I asked if Linda had any openings, and was able to squeeze me in for 330pm. Came back at 330pm, Summer greeted me again :) I got a robe put on, got my hair washed (or rinsed rather, since I had just washed it that morning), then sat at Linda's station and covered with another cape. Linda greeted me shortly after, I told her what I had been doing and what my ultimate goal was, she asked for a pic and I showed her many kinds of basically a Kpop Wolf cut (Felix / Hyunjin, etc). She's like, "ok, but later right? today is shaping" LOL yes exactly, you got it! She got to work, and scissors and all. :) When she was done, I was told to get hair washed (rinsed) and to come back, the assistant (? I guess?) would then blowdry my hair out. Note that I'm basically blind without my glasses, so I had to kind of squint to see myself in the mirror, but I was basically watching them blow dry my hair, and the methods / where their hands were and how my hair was when they were drying it out - important if I want to recreate the look at home! Afterwards, Linda came by once again to approve it and make any adjustments to cut or whatnot, and final styling with mousse & hairspray. Found my new barber! Linda was very kind and professional. The appointment process was really easy, I scheduled online and prepaid online as well. Parking is very open, and there were a lot of free spots right in front of the store. Walking in, you go into a room where you put on a robe. You get your hair washed, then straight to the haircut. After initial part of the haircut, you get your hair washed again, and the rest of the haircut is finished. I got a two block cut which is great for any occasion. There are so many ways to style it. My experience here was great and I have found a new routine barber to go to! read more

Love them. I've been here twice and it's the most comfortable I've felt at a salon. Over time, I have hopped around many salons because I don't really have a preference on how my hair is cut. But I learned that you need to have some sort of style in mind before you walk in. With that said, most hair stylist have tried to match what I describe and I've walked out not feeling satisfied. I woke up this morning with a crazy thought of cutting all my hair off bcz it thinned out so much in the last year. I happened to be in Garden Grove picking up food and had some time so I Yelped for a nearby hair salon. They took me in right away. I showed them photo samples of what I wanted and I got shampooed. Linda spent quality time giving me such a great cut. In the era of covid she didn't even see my face without a mask on but the cut works so well! I think it is much harder to give a stylish shirt hair cut than the popular ling layered hair cuts. I lucked out and got the right hair stylist! My favorite Korean hair stylist has been on a hiatus and I have been on the hunt for someone else to entrust with my hair the past few months. Every time my hair reaches the point where it starts poking my eyes, I have made the decision these past few months to try different highly rated Korean hair salons and stylists to figure out where and who can work with my hair. Since it was my first time at RT7 salon, I made the splurge to book with the kind CEO and lady-running-the-show, Scarlett. I've had my fair share of cheap barber cuts to high-end salons throughout my hair journey and come to realize that the risk of a irreversible botched haircut and the weeks of low self esteem that follow are not worth cheapening out on! Remember folks, quality over quantity! I've collected several pictures of specific traits of what I wanted in my hair cut (one picture for bang parting and length, one picture for sideburns, one picture for curl intensity for my perm, one picture for the back etc) as well as consulting with Scarlett and her years of experience on what she thinks would suit my face and head shape. During the whole experience of my cut and perm, Scarlett and her team were efficient and thorough. While Scarlett also had other customers to tend to, she made sure that no-one was neglected and promptly set timers to make sure the job gets done for everyone. While waiting for the perm solution to set it, I was given complimentary refreshing cold filtered water and snacks. At the end, my hair was shampooed and was blowdried and further cut and adjusted until I was satisfied. My hair came out exactly the way I wanted and the fact that it came out much better than I expected is what made this experience worth it. I have tried Korean hair salons in Irvine, Buena Park and even in Gangnam (in South Korea) by stylists who were well-recognized in their respective fields and who actively work with idols/actors in the Korean industry. I can confidently say that Scarlett's skills are exactly up to par with these industry experts and I am happy to find someone and somewhere who just...knows! I hope Scarlett never quits and if she ever decides to, please please teach your prodigies everything you know because I don't want another hairstylist breakup! read more
