Lunch with the family and Dion's being festive
    Erick D.

Consistently good like it was 30+ years ago. Came in with family and there's been some menu changes over the years. Examples of this are the smaller gourmet pizzas and goodies. The service was fast and friendly. The place is clean and no frills. I guess they can no longer leave paper plates out. My guess is too many were taken.

Better Ingredients. Better Pizza. Dion's. We were so glad to get pizza from Dion's as I haven't had it in likely a decade... and it was as good as I remember it!

    A small Carnivore. Loved it.

A great Sunday night pie. We had the opportunity to watch Robert through the window as he single-handedly churned out perfect pie after pie. He is the hardest working guy we've seen all day. The place was clean, well staffed with attentive workers who were quick to jump in as needed to assist. We watched the entire process from their viewing platform and it helped fill the time. The pie was just what we needed after a long day of seeing the sights of Albuquerque.

Got a pepperoni pizza for me and my two toddlers last night. I bit into my piece and chomped on something hard. I pulled it out of my mouth and it was a coiled piece of metal! Thank gooodness I didn't break a tooth and I don't even know if my kids swallowed any pieces. This is not okay at all. I have been going here for years and nothing like this has ever happened. This 100% needs to be addressed to employees to be more careful as this could have caused something serious.

Fix your phone number! This 8100 Wyoming location has the phone number for the Central and Elizabeth store. I just drove clear across town to the wrong location to pick up an order that they didn't have ready. Super frustrating!

But the food here is fresh and uncomplicated with a decent variety of ingredients to choose from. They offer a variety of breads and I usually go with the non-sub sandwich bread. Also, whether it is or not, it seems healthier to not heat it. But, hey, that's what I grew up with. The traditional 1970's sandwich. The service is usually good here. I haven't had any bad experiences over all of the years I've been going to this location. And the place is usually clean. Check 'em out.

Melanie was able to help us through the process of how to order. I thought I remembered how, but left some things out. She quickly assisted us to get the order perfect. Wife didn't want chips, but she recommended fries, WHO CAN TURN DOWN FRIES! I never even knew that was an option. Kaleb stepped up to finish our order, while Melanie began helping others. What a great team of employees. Kaleb got our sandwiches out first, fries came out next. Hot & delicious . These two employees customer service skills will keep me coming back. Now next important thing was food. Our sandwiches were great, fresh taste, perfect to what we wanted. As I said fries were great. I love the perfectly crushed ice from the machine. Lots of choices to drink soooooo ice tea it is. The building was clean, easy choice in seating, nice view of Sandias, plenty of room for a group. Some people added their own art to the walls. It's kind of a fun touch or connection with the place. Parking lot is a little quirky. No way can a RV, large truck, or vehicle with trailer fit, so you will have to figure that out. We highly recommend this place for the reasons above.

My dad grabbed the classic smash with a chicharron. My brother went with the 505 green chili burque smash. When I saw the other sandwiches on separate posters by the order window I was torn between the 505 or the Al Gueye Lucy. I asked the cashier which one they thought was better and they suggested the Al Guey Lucy smash. I said orale! Let's do it! We sat at the tables under the tent. It was nice shade for such a hot afternoon. The burgers were out hot n fresh! The Lucy was juicy with just the right amount of spice! It had a zesty kick you just can't forget. I absolutely loved it! My dad and brother enjoyed theirs as well. The fries reminded me of the fries at Bob's Burgers. They were really good! Overall it was a great experience! I'll definitely be returning! No mames! Si! I must say, it was significantly better to my taste The pickles were gone, but there was still this unusual taste that I really couldn't place. It tasted almost like pickles in the background, but I'm not sure what it was. Suffice to say, the burger was very good. Was it the best burger I've ever had? No. Sadly, that honor goes to Pete's Frites, and he hung it up after ruining all of us who got to try his burger masterpieces before disappearing. But I digress. No Mames treated me like I mattered. They took my opinions and wishes seriously. I am very impressed. The owner and his wife genuinely wanted me to enjoy my experience with their food, and I must say I did. Their tireless efforts to make me a happy customer are very rare, and they should be commended. I had fries this time, and they are the thin, more crispy variety, which are my favorite. I also received a Serrano sauce and a flavored oil "sauce," which I was told they serve with their chicharrones, I believe. I kinda liked it with the fries. I'm upping the rating to 5 stars, because for me, the food is a very strong 4 stars, but their customer service and care for their craft makes it an easy 5 stars. Go pay this place a visit and let them know what you think of their food. They actually listen and will make adjustments. That's a customer's dream.

I've been going there ever since. A few years ago, they added a bakery. It is chock full of delicious cookies, eclairs, cannolis, and you can even get a wedding cake there. Most recently, I went with some coworkers for lunch and ordered the Bella Mozzarella sandwich. Beautiful, thick slices of fresh mozzarella, loaded with tomatoes and basil. The bread was super fresh, and the potato salad was very flavorful. My coworker got an eclair on our way out. I just had a bite and it was divine. The older gentleman behind the counter was courteous and friendly. The atmosphere is laid-back, and the side wall is covered in shelves that contain imported pasta and various other products from Italy. There's a freezer case filled with premade meals and meat. If you haven't been there, it's definitely worth a stop

Over the years I keep going back, about once a year: I've had their sandwiches, their pastries, their pies . . . all kinda "meh" and all priced pretty reasonably but not inexpensively. Sandwiches give you a lot of everything . . . except flavor. Pastries are . . . fine. Pies are . . . fine, and kinda small (and not inexpensive, maybe reaching towards pricey); it's the kinda thing you are willing to pay for in order to bring it to a gathering, only to find almost no one bothers to eat it. And so you don't bother. The cookies are pretty good, actually. (And, yes, I know Italian delis - my Italian grandparents brought me to them in New York when I was a child. However, I'm not judging Tully's against these (as in "it's not as good as Back East"), I'm just saying it never really turns my crank.) Today I had a hot chicken, cheese, onion and pepper sandwich, the Carmela. It was a lot of food. But . . . not a lot of flavor. A whole lot of drippy mess in the bottom of my basket, though: water absolutely sopped through the (completely unmemorable tasting) bread loaf and pooled at the bottom of my basket as I ate in. The potato salad served alongside was fine - like what you'd get at Albertson's. The chicken was tender and . . . essentially without flavor, not even salt. There had clearly been a little marinade (I could sense some oregano and maybe garlic in there) but man could this thing have used about five times as much seasoning and then a healthy dose of a vinegar/garlic/oregano dressing on top of it. Bland. Lots of food in that $17 (almost $25 with tip) sandwich, but not a lot of enjoyment. I've had other Tully's sandwiches (both for here and to-go) that were better, but I can't really recall any of them . . . and I _never_ rush back. Like I said, this is a place I think about ("Hey, I'm right nearby; I should try Tully's again!") about once a year . . . and then, meh. To be fair - I believe that I am pretty out in left field on this take: Tully's is popular and always hopping. Get here early unless you want to stand in line. I only had to wait about three minutes to order, but by the time I left at noon this Friday there was a line to order all the way from the counter to the door. In terms of the room, it's a deli. Reasonably well set out with a decent amount of seating set out well, as well as some outside seating that you might want to try when it's not in the nineties. You order at the counter, pay, go get your own fountain drink (they also have some beer and wine, which they will serve you), find a seat and they'll bring it to you. When you're done, you bus it yourself. Pleasant staff - I don't regret tipping, although they don't do much. (As others have mentioned, if you get a cup of water, Tully's generously gives you a decent sized Solo cup - another plus.) It's fine. If you go, at least get yourself some cookies - they're pretty good.
