Wow I never thought this day would come but honestly I'm fed up. I have been a loyal customer at…read morethis salon for years now and have even brought them more customers but yesterday was my last day with them. I usually get a gel x mani and pedi but my birthday is coming up in a couple weeks and wanted to save but also update my nails since they were the same for the past couple weeks. I asked for just a regular mani and pedi and ultimately changed my mind about putting color on my finger nails because I decided I want give my natural nails a break. When I asked for regular polish for my pedi the lady just looked at me confused, probably bc I always get gel x, and then she went on with how gel x is better and I can just get a clear coat and do a color change. I understand why they push gel x, they can charge more bc it last longer etc but sometimes people just want regular polish that isn't going to last for a long time. I've seen them do that some spiel with other customers and some customers will cave in and agree to try gel x but some are firm and stick with the regular polish. My service I had done on my finger nails was just a removal of the gel x nails I had and that was it, I made it very clear. I didn't receive any manicure, just a removal. When I asked how much it costs for that, the lady tells me $15. I was like I thought it's just $10? That's the average price at most salons. She then tells me that the reason they charge $5 more is because I am not getting gel x. That makes NO sense at all. If I was getting a new set of gel x I guess it would be $10? Wtf that makes no sense. I was in a rush and honestly didn't feel like fighting with them so I left and didn't question it after but then I was thinking, wait, they literally charged me more to do less work. Like I said, I have been nothing but loyal to this place for years and have been a consistent customer. I come in at least once a month and majority of the time it's twice a month. I can't believe they would scam me like that. I thought we were on good terms. I brought my mom and was paying for her and had to leave so I made sure to leave the tip for everyone that assisted us but when I was with my mom trying to figure out who each tip would go to, the lady (Hanna) that did my gel x removal on my finger nails was like "$5 for her mani and $5 for her pedi" and pointed to the girls as if she was telling me where to give the money to. I got pissed and just left because I didn't want any problems, but basically she was keeping the $5 I handed to her to give to Macy when all she did was remove my nails, I handed her $2 and $5 and said I want the $5 for Macy and $2 for you but of course she wasn't thinking she was just paying attention to my wallet. I never thought they would act like that with me and never thought I would be leaving them but I can't accept that behavior or the ridiculous pricing. $15 for removal of gel x nails because I'm not getting a new set is such a lie I ended up paying $56 for my gel x removal and a regular polish pedicure

Came here to get short almond gel x nails with a French tip design for my wedding nails. I showed inspo pics and requested that the white not be super stark white compared to the pink. My nail tech started off with a thicker French tip to cover the natural nail peeking out under the gel tip. However that did not fit my vision so I asked for a thinner tip. She did mention that you would be able to see the natural nail under the tip and I said it was ok. I realized after I got home that the pink base coat was essentially clear and the natural nail showed in an obvious way in photos even though I thought it looked ok in person. I did not bring this up to the salon because I figured I just chose the wrong design and decided to just go somewhere else to just get a solid color all over. While getting my polish changed at the other salon, the nail tech noticed that my cuticles were completely covered in gel and had to take an extra 10-15 mins just drilling all the gel off my cuticles otherwise it wouldn't have grown out smoothly. She also fixed the nail shape because it was super pointy for almond in my opinion. My reason for my rating is because gel is not good to constantly get on skin. I did notice my original tech at moongirlnails used a brush to wipe off the gel after each tip application which I didn't love since other places I've been to have known how much gel to apply to avoid overflow. Using excess glue and going back to clean up is not good technique in my opinion. And seeing that the excess was not even fully wiped off and left on my cuticles, I cannot in good faith recommend this salon if you want to avoid developing a gel allergy.

I was welcomed by everyone as I entered. T who did my pedicure was gentle, polite , and reassuring. I had broke my toe nail and needed to get acrylic and it looks super natural and blended. My appointment was at 1& at 2 I was done so she took her time. Feet feel nice and soft and I enjoyed the massage included with the deluxe. Sou was my hair stylist and I liked how she layers my hair and colors it. It's really nice! And I like how she doesn't trim off too much of my hair. A lot of salon stylists when you asks for a trim they usually cut off a lot like you have a whole new haircut lol. I called at 9am and got an appointment for 1030am. Came in and everyone was so friendly, offering coffee, tea, hot coco, and cookies. Small place but very cute and cumfie!! When I went, there were only 2 ladies working because the other two called in sick. So the two ladies were working on 4people all at the same time, so my manicure took longer than expected (but that's just a last minute thing) But other than that, it's a very good place! I'd definitely come back again! :)
