This restaurant came highly recommended. Great vibe and music in the restaurant, however, the service left a LOT to be desired. The waiters were not attentive, we ordered two drinks that never came, and we probably could have ordered at least 10 more mixed drinks had we been asked in a timely manner. At one point we had to flag someone down to get some water. Needless to say DIOSA has a lot of work to do when it comes to service. They have the ambience down, music was a little loud, but enjoyable, the food was good too, but the service just left a bad taste in your mouth. Service sucks if you are a small party. Waiters cater to the large parties because I'm assuming they know they are getting a large tip at the end. I went Tuesday at 7:30pm and I waited almost 45 minutes for my drink and 2 hours !! yes 2 hours for my food. I got my food at 9:26pm. Apparently per the waiter my food was given to another table and none of the waiters ever bothered to check in until 1 hour of us waiting. Then they resubmitted my order and I still waited another hour before I received it. I asked to speak to the supervisor and no one ever came. I won't be coming back to this beautifully Tulum inspired restaurant again. Service like I said sucks. read more

We went to DIOSA for the friends and family night the day before it was set to open. The food and drinks we actually really good. We order the Tomahawk steak, one of the better I've had at restaurants. Worth the price and I highly recommend. The service was fast and efficient, ordered a Pineapple Serrano Margarita, not on the menu, and was impressed. We ordered a few since they were so good. Decided to try this place for myself after I asked a family member what they thought of the place and they said it was overpriced for the food not being good. When I arrived I had a reservation at 9:15 and ended up being sat at around 10:05. My reservation was for indoor because it was cold outside and we ended up being sat at those tables that are "indoor" but are actually more in the outside patio. When we requested to be sat at another table the host told us we had to be put at the bottom of the waiting list because they're fully booked until I told them that I'm not waiting another hour since I had already waited AFTER having a reservation. She finally sat us at another table with a nasty attitude. The food was not that good. We ordered the pollo con mole, pollo Al pastor, empanadas, and the Serrano mashed potatoes which were truly awful. They tasted like bland mashed potatoes with a small flavor of Serrano peppers and the green rice that was served with the other dishes was also pretty bad, it tasted like microwaveable rice. The only thing that was worth the price was the drinks, especially the espresso martini. If you're looking to overspend on some mediocre food this is definitely a good spot to do that. read more

I just want to start off by saying that for a restaurant that advertises itself on being high end. It was insane the amount of time it took for the host to seat us, and on top of that there was no parking what's so ever! Everyone was doing laps around the parking lot to find parking. Unbelievable. Then we get inside and it takes a server 10min to come the table and offer us water. It was just to of us I find that a little absurd. I'm not one to complain about price, but if what you guys are looking for is to provide high-end dinning you should really go visit places like Dal Rae, and Maestros they may not have the esthetics but the food and the service is superb compared to here. I'm going to give this place another month and see if they've improved. read more

We were so excited to visit Diosa and the perfect opportunity was my cousins graduation. Diosa food and service did not disappoint. Our server had great recommendations and the restaurant was not your typical Downey restaurant. All was good until we witnessed the owner speaking to an employee. We had to talk my cousin out from confronting her. Let me just say that the way she spoke to him was very, very unprofessional. I wouldn't even talk like this to a child. We will not be coming back. I am not someone to write reviews but this made us so upset. My group and I refuse to support a business who lacks professionalism and plain respect to its employees. This was our first time visiting Diosa, and we had an amazing time. The decor was chic and modern, and we were welcomed and seated almost immediately after arriving. The staff was extremely responsive to us, and knowledgeable about the menu. Our waiter was Roger, and he was fantastic! His personality was very engaging, and he even took the time to talk sports with my husband, which my husband loved! Every food item that we ordered was delicious, and the drinks were great as well. The place is really nice and fancy. I was disappointed at the service. There were so many employees on the floor and yet no one came to our table to offer any service after sitting there for 25 minutes. A couple sitting next to us had sat down 10 to 15 minutes prior to us and no one had offered them any service. Another couple sitting adjacent to us had drinks on their table but we're upset because no one had come to take their food order. We got up and left and so did the first couple waiting for service. I also believe the couple with drinks left. Very disappointed. Prices were a bit on the high end, cannot tell you if it was worth the price ‍ Will NOT try it again. read more
