Came on a Sunday and there was a wait, but it wasn't too bad, about 30 minutes. They do take reservations, which I definitely should've made. I checked Yelp photos ahead of time to decide what to order and went with the French toast where you can choose your flavor. I picked the "Nut Gone Tella" (warm Nutella, fresh strawberries, banana slices, caramel drizzle, powdered sugar). I don't actually like Nutella, so I ordered it without that. When it came out, it looked so good. But once I started cutting into it, super disappointing. The toast was really soggy, like overly soaked to the point where only the edges had any firmness. That's just not my kind of French toast. I let our server know, and she was great about it. She offered to switch it out for pancakes, which I did, and those were much better. One thing I really appreciated: the menu notes that they use avocado oil. As someone who tries to avoid seed oils (and deals with gut issues), that's a big plus, especially being a foodie. Came early on a Monday morning to celebrate our college grad. Customer service was overall great. For a Monday it wasn't too busy but some of our food was late to come out. First time visiting Casa Brunch to celebrate Mother's Day, and unfortunately, we left disappointed. The staff was friendly, and the service was quick and attentive, so no complaints there. However, the food was underwhelming. Most of our group ordered the chilaquiles rojos, and we were surprised at how quickly the food came out, but we quickly realized why. These were not traditional Mexican chilaquiles, which was disappointing. Instead of softened tortilla chips in sauce, they tasted more like stale, crunchy nachos. We were especially bummed because we canceled our plans to go to Madres in Bellflower (highly recommend their chilaquiles!) to give this place a try. Since Casa Brunch is still fairly new, I hope they improve the quality of their food if they want to build a loyal customer base. read more

Drove around the busy shared parking lot for a while, but luckily found a spot near the gym. We were seated right away, and the hostess was friendly. Our waiter was just okay, but he did bring waters for everyone promptly. The restaurant has a cute vibe, and I appreciated that the restroom was clean. Our server was JENNY L., she dropped off our food and not once did she come to check on us. And she was not busy! We sat at least 10 minutes waiting for our check. I had to wave her down and she finally came, dropped off check and left all our dirty dishes, which we had carefully stacked and placed at the end of the table. She came, we tapped credit card payment and she still left all the dirty dishes. We received no service whatsoever. We tried Casa Brunch in Downey and it did NOT disappoint! The food was so good. The Breakfast Sizzle was packed with flavor and came out hot and fresh you can tell they really care about quality. The huevos divorciados were honestly some of the best I've had in LA! Tostadas were crispy and never got soggy even with the sauce. The sauces were flavorful, perfectly balanced, and those beans?! SOOOO good. Like, don't-skip-the-beans good. My daughter ordered the kids pancakes with a fruit side they were fluffy, delicious, and perfectly portioned. I really appreciated that they cut the grapes in half such a small detail but so thoughtful and mom-approved. I ordered the Floor de Casa margarita and it was really good lots of flavor and the Tajín rim was on point! It paired perfectly with brunch. My husband ordered a cold brew and the flavor of the coffee really stood out smooth, bold, and done right. The decor was beautiful very modern, bright, and totally IG-approved. The vibe overall was great and the service was friendly. My only tiny complaint is that it was a smidge warm inside, but nothing that would stop us from coming back. I went to Casa Brunch on Saturday Morning. I saw a reel on Instagram and it looked great. We got there early and were immediately greeted and seated. The staff was very friendly. The place was nicely decorated and clean. It was very inviting. The kind of place you want to be eating at. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros. Presentation was phenomenal. It was served with potatoes and beans on the side. The eggs on the tostada and the sauce were very good. My tostadas stayed nice and crunchy till the end. The potatoes were deliciously seasoned but they could have been cooked longer. Some pieces were nice and soft and others were a little under cooked for me. Next time I will ask for them well done. The beans were probably my least favorite part. They were a little dry and had a different taste which I just couldn't figure out. All in all I was happy with Casa Brunch and would definitely come back and try something different. There are so many things on the menu that I would love to try. read more

First thing I notice when I walk into a spot is the coffee. If that's off, everything else gotta work twice as hard. Casa got it right. Coffee actually hits. Espresso got that real bite to it, not watered down at all. Feels like you somewhere in Italy for a second. You could tell your girl you're taking her to Italy and just bring her here, she'd understand. Food wise, I don't even really like pancakes like that. They usually leave me feeling heavy and sleepy after. But theirs are different. Light, still got substance, and you end up finishing the whole thing without thinking twice. Sizzling plate is where they really did their thing. Get it with tendon and add a side of serrano peppers. That little kick brings everything together. One of those orders you wish you got sooner. Haven't even gone through the whole menu yet, but you can tell this is one of those spots. Not just about the food, it's where you bring people, where you stay a little longer than planned. We came in to try this new spot and had a mix of really great drinks and some timing issues with the food. Drinks were definitely the highlight. I ordered the Honey Pistachio (iced) -- it was strong, but the honey balanced it out perfectly and made it sweet and delicious. Rated it a 5/5. My daughter got the Strawberry Matcha with strawberry cold foam and she rated it a 5/5. My wife ordered the Vietnamese latte (iced) and also gave it a 5/5. All the drinks were solid. For food, I had the huevos rancheros (3/5). The tortilla felt a bit stale and hard to chew, but the sauce with the egg was good and tasted homemade, which I appreciated, just not something extraordinary. The potatoes were basic, nothing special, but the beans were 5/5 definitely the best part of the plate. Service timing was the main issue. We arrived around 11:45am and didn't get the first plate until about an hour later, and dishes didn't come out together. It was just two other orders of Nutella pancakes, and by 1:20pm (1.5hr later) we were told they were "almost ready," but when we asked to take them to go, we were then told they weren't ready at all. We ended up paying only for the huevos rancheros and the coffees. The vibe is cool, they play good music, and the waiters were nice. After waiting nearly two hours, we ended up going to Guachos instead. We were really looking forward to trying the pancakes, so hopefully next time the timing is better because the drinks were great and the vibe is cool. I'm giving it 3/5 and hoping the timing improves so we can actually come back and try the full food menu next time. read more
