The ambience is very high energy, servers were great and attentive. The drinks were tasty and beautiful but weak. The decor is a bit too much. The amount of chandeliers screams for attention but does not feel like the classy establishment the designers likely imagined. Food was mediocre at best. So disappointed that Diosa couldn't serve better quality food. We ordered the sea bass tiradito, Mexican street corn, and carnitas. The tiradito tasted like old limes - can't squeeze fresh limes for customers??? The Mexican street corn was okay, could've used a bit of a kick. The carnitas were the best part of the meal but were still underwhelming. They served this with green rice which was terrible. The carnitas themselves were probably a 3/5. If you can't make great ones in house, outsource from a local shop. There's so many in LA. If I make it back I will stick to the drinks menu. Three stars for the service though! Ok, so I was very excited to dine here as I'd been watching it get built and it looked gorgeous. Came on a Sunday evening for a girls night. Definitely a beautiful place, staff was amazing. From the front desk to the wait staff, bartenders and manager, top notch friendly and attentive. Our waitress was the sweetest. Drinks were delicious and we ordered all the appetizers and each one was pretty tasty and also two entrees. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it's ridiculously priced. I'm not poor but I'm not rich either and so this place will have to be reserved for a once a year treat. Like I said, the food we ate was tasty but nothing to warrant those prices. Like the prices are wild. Let's just say Mastros is cheaper lol. Beautiful new restaurant with an upbeat vibe. The food and margaritas were delicious, though we would have liked some vegan food options for the vegan in our party. Service was top-notch! The decor makes it among the classiest restaurants in Downey. I'm sure it will attract both Downey residents and diners from neighboring cities looking to celebrate special occasions. The beautiful and huge bar is the focal feature of the restaurant, and I expect it to turn into a social hot-spot. It is pricey, but we needed a high-end restaurant in Downey. I hope that as they figure out diners' food preferences, they expand their menu to include fresh fish and more steak options. They had a DJ playing modern music which may be too loud for some diners who prefer a quiet atmosphere, but it definitely added to a hip vibe. Overall, I encourage curious diners to go there to experience it for themselves, and to support the ownership for investing what is obviously a major financial investment. First time there today . The shrimp enchiladas and the steak enchiladas were amazing but the drinks are a bit watered down, all ice. We went in a Saturday 6 is pretty empty but by the time we left around 7:30ish it looked like it was getting pretty busy. My wife went to this location and they seemed to have no sense of purpose on bringing the food out fast and efficiently. They took forever on getting the food to the table, to the point where we had to have the food packed once we got it. The food was really good, but very pricy!We all got the enchiladas poblanos and the portion size was great, and it came with rice and beans. My sister ordered the steak empanadas, and they were just OK. The street corn comes with freshly made chips, and it was delicious. The enchiladas were really good too, but be warned: they are spicy! We also ordered the Santorini and the Diosa and Co and they were both pretty good. For dessert, they gave us free Horchata ice cream, which was delicious! They also have a churro dish that they make for you table side, we did not get it because we had brought a cake, but the people next to us got it and if you like a show, I would definitely recommend trying it! There are plenty of cute photo ops when you first walk into the restaurant, and we came on a weekday, so there was plenty of parking, but they have their own parking lot and parking is free. The food was pretty good overall. We had a party of 14 and the food took over 30 minutes to be served. The chicken Posole had a super thick spicy broth. The chicken was sautéed and mixed into the Posole so the flavor profile was off. I sent it back. A small bowl is not worth $15 if it doesn't hit the spot. They also charge a 3% surcharge. They explained that it was due to the government inflation so that they don't increase the food prices even more. It can't be waived. Our server was nice and observant. Ambiance was fun.
