I ordered a medium Cheese pizza, it's like cardboard, lacking cheese not worth $16, Fettuccine Alfredo had no flavor, I gave it a 2 star because if anything the Garlic chicken pasta was better but definitely not ordering from here again and I don't know why this place has a 4 star, that is what got me. read more

I have been going to this place since I was a kid. It is basically what would be considered a whole in the wall among the so many other places to eat in Hialeah. Now, I take my family there to eat. The wait staff is very attentive and pleasant. This is a Hialeah staple and a must do. Unfortunately, I don't go there as much as I used to. The prices have skyrocketed. I know that with time, prices go up, but with what I pay for a family of four to eat there, I could go to another restaurant with my family and eat food that is just as good for less. They have even set a limit on soda refills. I am not trying to discourage anyone from going, but just be aware that if you have not been here for a while, the family friendly low prices are long gone. read more

Not a good experience since I decided to try this place with my daughter us being foodies well we could not get slices and we could Not order a small cheese pizza that's only Monday through Friday I was told only medium and large being that we never buy medium or large pizza because we could never finish it I was forced to buy a medium pizza pie then I went on to order Fried Mozzarella GUESS What no fried mozzarella at that point I was about to get up and leave but I asked my daughter she said let's just stay! We are here so I stayed we ordered garlic rolls And I ordered a house salad which was ok the garlic rolls were ok loaded with to much green topping so if you plan to visit tell them to go light on that , the pizza was ok a little too wet for me and definitely more crust then pizza! The pizza isn't bad, but the dough could be much thinner. The garlic knots were burnt and hard. The tiramisu was very small. A large pizza, garlic knots and a piece of tiramisu was $44. Don't think I'll be giving it another try. Everything was disappointing. read more

Great late lunch experience! We tried this spot after a golf buddy recommendation. Finally got a chance to check it out on a trip south. They didn't disappoint! Hidden freakin gem in Hialeah for real. Not sure how I've lived here all my life and just now discovered Di Piazza. It's become our go-to for pizza and the BEST chicken parm in Miami. We have yet to try something we don't love. Highly recommend the chicken parm, fiocchi de pera, and asiago gnocchi. Service is always on point. You'll find and hear the owner speaking in Italian while making pizzas big enough to feed a very hungry crowd. The place is unpretentious and filled with good wholesome energy. The staff is friendly and accommodating; their un-rushed demeanor shouldn't be confused with a lack of customer attention but one that allows you to enjoy quality time with your family and forget that you're at a restaurant but maybe at your nonna's house. Maria, our server, recommended some dishes that didn't disappoint and would happily order again if not for my need to go down the menu and try other items. Ordered - *Fried Mozzarella ($8) - If you're thinking fried sticks, you've come to the wrong place. This Fried Mozzarella appetizer is a meal on its own and the thick sauce on the side makes this appetizer worth ordering. *Lasagna ($14) - Incredibly delish and made from scratch; it didn't taste processed like it does in some places. The sauce had a perfect flavorful consistency and I was able to taste the ripe tomatoes that complemented the beef and pasta. The pasta was buttery and tender and consistent enough to hold all ingredients together. The ground beef was flavorful and the ooziness of cheese brought this dish together and made for several amazing unsharable bites. *Chicken Parmigiana with Fettuccini Alfredo ($17) - This plate is sharable unless you're my daughter that's obsessed with this dish and wouldn't share. Perfectly breaded and the chicken packed a lot of flavor in each bite. The Alfredo sauce was smooth, creamy and rich and perfectly coated the Fettuccini to its last bite. *Cannoli ($6) - Not a dessert eater; but after eating this, I'm a believer...! The fried dough was crispy and the filling was sweet and creamy but not overly indulging so it made for a perfect ending to a perfect meal. I decided to give DiPiazza a try because my go to for some reason was not picking up the phone. I ordered a lasagna and a carbonara. For the lasagna I might as well have gotten a Stouffers lasagna, it was super dry barely any sauce, the lasagna pasta was so thick and everything looked like it was throw in there. The cheese and meat were like clumpy. Also ordered a carbonara that was tasteless. The only edible thing was the bread which they gave a lot of so I stuffed my face with that. Some of the best Italian food I've ever had in Miami. The garlic rolls were so fresh and flavorful but were not dripping with excess grease and garlic. Updated review today. Went to dinner last night. Ordered a spaghetti and meatballs and one spaghetti with olive oil and garlic. Very disappointed. The spaghetti and meatballs had a bland taste and the meatballs tasted bad (almost like ground up liver). The spaghetti in both meals were very hard. Tasted like the spaghetti was placed in hot water for a few minutes. When it came out it was sitting in water. Not impressed at all. Over $40.00 for 2 meals. Service was great, but the spaghetti was not good. Sad. The pizza every time we have gone has been very good so we tried something else. Not good. Was so looking forward to good spaghetti. We used to come to Di Piazza YEARS ago & when my dad was looking for a place to celebrate his birthday, his brother reminded us of this spot. This place has been here for over 40 years & after today, I completely understand why. DiPiazza is somewhere you go when you want Italian comfort food in HUGE portions for a super affordable price! We were a large group (15, including 3 kids under the age of 10) but our waitress was excellent right from the start. To start with, she brought out loads of some of the BEST garlic rolls I've ever had! We also ordered the fried zucchini (spectacular, perfectly seasoned & not at all greasy) and some house salads (super fresh & delicious). For the mains, the kids had cheese pizza (so good), I ordered the "Carlo Ponti Special Pasta" (Fresh Pasta with Tomatoes, Peas, Zucchini, Eggplant, Garlic & Onion) and it was delicious. Enormous portion! So much so that after eating a healthy amount, I had still barely made a dent! The others ordered various dishes & everyone loved what they got. I can't recommend this place enough!
