I found a deal on yelp for this place and got my cracked iPhone screen fixed for $85 it took an hour and 15 mins to replace. I noticed my phone was extremely dim when I received it but I figured it was because I had low battery. Well, after charging it, the screen was still dim and I noticed my phone screen was getting easily scratched from my ring and change in my purse. I let these things go, because I figured I got what I paid for. Well, my phone started malfunctioning. It began shutting off every fifteen minutes. I took my phone to the Apple store where they immediately pointed out that I didn't have an official iPhone screen (I knew this since, I know Apple has their screen replacements patent) they then proceeded to tell me that the person that replaced my screen damaged something internally which was causing my phone to shut off. I had to get a whole new phone due to trying to save a few bucks. I highly suggest you get your screen fixed at the Apple store and save yourself the headache. I will not be recommending nor returning to this place. read more

Sure, you could do your own repair. Order the parts, study the YouTube tutorials, order the tools, miss calls...think how much that actually costs you. Why not just pay these pros their very reasonable fee to fix up what ails your smartphone good as new, and in my case in under an hour. And you won't have to dick around with a hot glue gun. read more

I went to this place on wabash and they said it could be the glass or the lcd. If it's glass it will be $100 of its lcd and glass it will be $180. They wouldn't know till they started working on it. was like huh? I went to direct repair. $100. Done. No muss, no fuss. Awesome! read more

Cracked the screen on my iPhone 3GS and the vast majority of places in the city acted as if I was asking them to repair the jaw on a dinosaur as opposed to a piece of glass on a phone. Not only was Direct Repair the best price in the city ($35), but they had it done in about 5 minutes. Every other place I called or went to wanted at least $60 for the same repair. Been here twice - once for a broken screen and once for a laptop that had some minor water damage. Both times, the repair was done quickly, at a reasonable cost and they were transparent about the charges. I was a walk-in and needed to have the power button on my iPhone 4S repaired. It had stopped working a couple days before and I thought I could last until my upgrade but that wouldn't be until January (5 months away). They took me right there and quoted me $55 and ready within a half hour. They fixed and good as new. It was a little stiff at first but after a couple days, I broke it in. I have been a little wary of cell phone repair shops because I wondered if they could do the job considering the thousands of models out there. I was definitely pleased with this place. The service was very fast. I had shattered my iPhone 6 Plus screw and they fixed it within 20 minutes. Apple makes you schedule an appointment days in advance to do this. But it's never fun to pay $120 to have your screen fixed. If something only takes 20 minutes to fix, $120 seems a bit extreme and greedy. But if there's not a lot of other options, then I guess they can do what they want. read more

The owner was quick in responding to message on Yelp and was able to consult issues with my laptop as well. Direct repair did a great job quickly replacing my shattered iPhone 4 screen. They also kindly cut down my Blackberry SIM card to mini SIM card size to fit in the iPhone. What a service! I stop by as I tried to change a part of my iphone myself as it wasn't charging at all times. Apparently I did but not really. I changed it(required a lot of patience) but when I was done the phone wouldn't charge anymore. Freaking out at this point.
